Guest Reviews

Stop scrolling and book already🍃 - In the heart of Trastevere. Central to walking anywhere. Night life was so amazing, yet in the apartment total peace and tranquility. Apartment was comfortable with everything we could possibly need! Communication was fantastic.
- James (10/5): Magical few days in Trastevere - The apartment is located in the heart of Trastevere, quietly tucked away in a courtyard. A lovely comfortable and clean apartment for two people. It is surrounded by narrow cobbled streets, decorated with fairy lights that look magical at night.
- Karen (10/5): Perfect place, great location. - Casa del Moro was everything we hoped it would be from the description and the other reviews on this site. It felt like we had our very own piece of Rome for a few days, and was a pleasure to come back to after a long day of sightseeing before venturing out into the surrounding streets for a drink and supper in the evening. Roberto is an excellent host and we would certainly stay here again if we came back.
- Rita (10/5): A memorable stay in a very comfortable setting. - Everything! From the moment we arrived and were met by Alice we knew our 4 night stay was going to be memorable for the best of reasons. The location was perfect being close to the river Tiber and within walking distance of major attractions and near a tram stop. The apartment is on two levels and was well-appointed, spotlessly clean and creatively decorated. The hosts were very responsive (both timely and in resolving queries) and willing to share their local knowledge. The apartment felt very safe. Thank you! 😊 My husband was fine with the room temperature (is managed remotely by host) but I tend to feel the cold and would have liked a small throw to use in the lounge area. On mentioning this to Andrea, the heating was adjusted which I really appreciated.
- Russel (10/5): Excellent location and very comfortable - Ideal location

- Nick (10/5): - Beautifully appointed apartment in peaceful courtyard opening up to the bustling life of Trastevere
Nix auszusetzen
- Panayotis_Gezerlis (10/5): If you want to stay in Trastevere with your significant other, look no more. - If you want to stay in Trastevere with your significant other, look no more. One of the most romantic, full equipped lofts you can imagine. Balcony is a charm, like coming from a movie. 2 floors, very very spacious! Extremely quite (from the street), maybe just a little bit of noise from neighbours when they are in - but really not important. I think the bed could be a bit softer!
- Gerardo Anibal (10/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable stay - The place itself was beautiful. Specially the patio. It was spacious. The bathroom in the area of the bed doesn’t have much ventilation. So after use the smell will stay longer than expected.
There were also some white lights that were a bit strong. Suggest changing them for warm tones.
- Laura (8/5): Peaceful retreat in the heart of trastevere - Amazing quiet location, but still right in the heart of Trastevere; cute balcony over a beautiful shared courtyard, all the needed supplies. Clean and modern inside. Separate spaces for our party of 3. Two bathrooms. We were notified via WhatsApp after we departed of a significant cash tax that wasn’t mentioned at checkin and we didn’t see in any of the documentation. We never heard from the manager at all the whole 4 night stay until after the departure, now requesting additional money, maybe just a misunderstanding but better communication needed
- Faithe (10/5): Trastevere Tranquility - Location location location!
And the apartment was beautiful. Didn’t want to leave Nothing at all. Place was perfect,

- Blagoy (9/5): Superb -
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional - Property was actually nicer than described. Excellent location and most excellent and well equipped apartment
- Deborah (9/5): Great loft apartment in a lively neighbourhood. - A quiet sanctuary in the vibrant borough of Trastevere. Adorable apartment with all amenities you would need. Our family of 3 enjoyed our stay. Attentive host. Taxi requests were a challenge as they cancelled frequently. Ended up finding the taxi stand which was close by making things much easier.
- David (9/5): Superb - Wonderful apartment! Clean and spacious.
Roberto and Andrea were excellent hosts.
Easy communication and quick replies. Offered great places to eat.
Balcony was a great addition and the courtyard was beautiful. Would stay again for sure! It was not an issue for us but older people should beware that there in only a full bath downstairs and half upstairs.
The stairs are also quite high and curved which might give older people a hard time. Definitely bring non skid slippers when showering downstairs and needing to walk up the stairs.
- Nancy (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (9/5): Casa Del Moro Stay - Location It is a loft so there are stairs.
It is a street for people so no taxis to the door. This was a minor thing.
- Inga (10/5): Special Place - I can't be happier for choosing this property. If you want a unique experience in the heart of Trastevere - look no further. It's a ground floor apartment (living room + kitchenette) with a first floor bedroom + balcony facing an inner courtyard. Everything inside is clean and functional. The check-in was easy - Andrea sent a video of the procedure and was there on a video call to help with retrieving the key. He then sent us a long list of best places to eat/shop in the neighbourhood - highly appreciated. We stayed 3 nights and the apartment felt like home, it was a pleasure to get back to it (through the small streets of Trastevere and then the authentic courtyard) after a long day of exploring Rome. Although it has a staircase inside the apartment that might be a bit uncomfortable for those with mobility issues - it is very easy to get to from the street and quiet, since it's facing the inner courtyard and not the busy streets outside. Thank you Andrea and the team for making our trip to Rome even more special! You can hear the neighbours next door, but it was not an issue for us (they were not loud).
- Damian (9/5): A great place to stay in Rome - would recommend - Great location, nice to have a sense of extra space. Enjoyed breakfast on the balcony. A very friendly and helpful welcome from Andrea, who also had no issues with us having a late checkout - that made a big difference on our last day There was a bit of a strange smell in the bathroom, though I think this was more to do with Roman plumbing
The balcony could do with tidying up, the flor was a bit “slimey” - could do with power hosing
- Daniel (10/5): Quality, well cared for Apartment in a great neighborhood. - The location is nicely located and easy to find. It is an easy walk into the city and there is a taxi stand next to the bus stop. The host was very kind and the apartment was well stocked. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook and there is a coffee machine with milk frother. It was a little noisy with random banging and car alarms in the early morning. Nothing that couldn't be ignored.
- Iain (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Boris (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice location and friendly host
Well equipped facility nice patio, better than pictures
- Whitney (10/5): An amazing stay in a perfect location. Very helpful restaurant suggestions, and otherwise generally very helpful and res - Absolutely perfect location. Literally could not have been improved upon.
- Artem (10/5): Nice location, wonderful host Roberto - Wonderful location. The host Roberto was hospitable and helpful. Trastevere as for me is one of the best district in Rome with local vibe and Casa del Moro apartment is really nice None
- Irena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (9/5): Superb - This was a lovely quiet flat in the heart of lively Trastevere. The kitchen was very well equipped and the washer was much appreciated after several weeks of travel. The location is great, a lot more touristy than the last time we visited Rome, but still has the gritty neighborhood vibe and loads of good restaurants. The flat itself is exactly as pictured and had it been just a little warmer it would have been great to have coffee on the little terrace. Highly recommend as long as you like a really firm bed. We expected a much comfier bed for the price. It was extremely firm and though it was plenty big, it was smaller than expected (more like an American Queen). We have since learned that "king size" in Europe is often smaller than in US.
- Anthony (10/5): A nice quiet place to stay to live like a local while visiting Rome. - This was a great quiet location. Having a full the kitchen was great in the morning for breakfast and we LOVED the balcony for apertivo every night. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Rome. Grazie Roberto! The mattress was not comfortable for us.
- Jayne (10/5): A convenient well appointed apartment in the heart of Trastevere 10/10 - The apartment is well appointed and very comfortable. Everything we needed was at our finger tips. Located in the heart of Trastevere you are spoilt for choice with restaurant options, small supermarkets and wine shops. It was easy to reach many of the iconic historical sites within the city.
The host Roberto is a delight. Great communicator and over flowing with with local information and recommendations. He was very helpful with me and also helped arrange transport to and from the airport. Catching a taxi in Rome can be problematic and stressful. So having a privates driver was an advantage. I can understand why this apartment is so popular. It really does make staying in Rome very comfortable and enjoyable. There is a musty smell from the downstairs bathroom which was most noticeable after we returned from a day of exploring. It didn't affect our stay as there is a dehumidifier operations within the apartment which appears to address this problem.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): What a great surprise and awesome choice of where to stay. - A quiet gem in the middle of the best area of Rome. The shower and water pressure was the best in my world travels. Loved the glass floor. Our host, Andrea, was so nice and communicated in timely manner. Wish there was usb outlets for chargers.
- Simon (10/5): In the heart of busy Trastevere but quiet and exceptional - Lovely apartment, everything you need. Nothing
- Kerryn (10/5): Fabulous apartment in great neighbourhood - Spacious, close to everything in a lively neighbourhood. Half an hour’s walk to most major attractions, but lots to do and see in Trastevere as well. The host is responsive and generous with information on what to see and do and where to eat. The apartment is perfectly positioned and surprisingly quiet for such a prime position. The bed is comfy and the pillows are plush and numerous. I enjoyed having breakfast on the little balcony each morning overlooking the courtyard before it got too hot, but the aircon inside was welcome when the heat got too much. In saying that, the apartment was surprisingly cool without it even on extremely hot summer days. Nothing
- Unhappy (7/5): Excellent - Wonderful location
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dayna (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is in a quiet courtyard in Trastevere. It was amazing to be in the middle of a lively part of Rome with restaurants but have a private and quiet place to go back to from the bustle of the city.
The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable with a small kitchen, a living room, and a second floor/loft with a bedroom.
The host was fantastic. I was forgetful and left my passport and small belongings in the bedside table and he graciously sent them to my next destination. I couldn’t have asked for more even from a friend!
- Josie (10/5): Exceptional - Location! Very clean with all amenities needed N/a
- Katie (10/5): You cannot beat location. So glad we chose to stay here! - Very spacious - living, kitchen and bathroom downstairs. Large loft bedroom upstairs with toilet. Lovely balcony overlooking internal courtyard. This was a great spot to relax. Wonderful host. There was nothing we didn’t like
- Sandeep (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable stay. ANDREA was always available by WhatsApp and even helped me arrange special birthday decor for my wife before check in. Seamless check in and check out and all amenities provided. The building is quite old and dilapidated which comes as a shock especially if you are checking in at night. But the modern interiors makes up for that.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): All in all a great location, a fair price and wonderful hosts. I would stay again if in Rome. - The location was amazing. The host was very attentive and helpful. There was a nice amount of space, especially compared to a hotel. The space was very clean. The property is very unique. It sits behind this wall that surrounds the apartments and blocks out all of the neighborhood noise. But then you go out the gated doors and you are in the middle of lots of restaurants, people, and action. The stairs are a little difficult.
- Kathy (10/5): A wonderful place to relax away from the buzz of Trastevere when needed to chill out, but close to all the things we we’ - Clean, cosy, quiet, pretty, kitchen - everything we needed! And fantastic location in the heart of Trastevere. Loved everything.
- Juliana (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Beautiful loft
- Rosita (10/5): Wonderful host who was helpful and accomodating making our stay very easy and comfortable in Trastevere whilst visiting - Central location with beautiful, spacious and quiet courtyard area, clean and with all amenities available.
- Tajka (10/5): Place you are looking for - Perfect location; safe place, clean, very nice appartment, all you need in a kitchen and more.Coffee machine with capsules, caffetiera with mocca coffee, sugar, tea, prosecco water, vinegar oil, salt, really all you need.Andrea very communicative and gave us perfect advise on Rome sights and Trastevere culinary proposals.Just happy! The landlords are well aware of importance to maintain the place on high level. We will come back. None.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angel (10/5): Perfect lodging - Casa del Moro is a great two-level self catering apartment right in the centre of vibrant and bohemian Trastevere. I enjoyed every single moment of my stay there. The host Andrea was extremely helpful, ready to answer any questions. The bed is king-size and very comfortable. I've been to Rome a number of times, still Casa del Moro was undoubtedly one of the very best places I've stayed at. Thank you ever so much!
- Melissa (10/5): Perfect accommodation . Wished we could have stayed longer. - What a beautiful apartment in the middle of everything. Quiet and gorgeous courtyard and balcony. Great hot water and facilities. Perfect host to ensure we had everything we needed. Nothing.
- Zan (9/5): Superb - The location is good and there are a lot of restaurants and bars around but still very quiet. All the tourist spots like the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi fountain etc are all within walking distance. The apartment is super clean and well stocked with cooking utensils and cutlery.
- Anne (9/5): We had a great time in this central and charming apartment. - The apartment was great for our needs. Cosy with a small terrace. The location was great - very central in Trastevere and checking in was very easy. We received some great local recommendations from our host. The apartment has two bathrooms which is a big plus. The upstairs bathroom is a little small and not very high ceilings making it difficult for tall people to stand up straight. Otherwise nothing we didn't like.
- Simona-georgeta (9/5): Superb - The place is really lovely. It is also in a very good location for both sightseeing and eating out. We were there for a couple of nights with 2 young kids, and we loved it
The kids were in love with the glass floor/ceiling overlooking the kitchen.
The 2 bathrooms were very useful. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Nothing I can think of right now.
- Peter (9/5): A well positioned , clean ,quiet and spacious apartment. - Casa del Moro is in a perfect position in Trastevere, close to many bars and restaurants. The apartment is a good size with everything you need for stay in Rome, complete with two bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and good sized bedroom and lounge. Trastevere is a very popular area at night and noisy, but the apartment is very quiet.
Thanks to Roberto for all his help.
We would definitely stay again. Nothing.
- Laura (10/5): Beautiful stay in Trastervere! - The property is a perfect location. Andrea was lovely, even arranging a special surprise for one of our guests on arrival! Plenty of space for 3 adults, great shower and bathroom.
- Guy (10/5): Perfect apartment for a stay in a awesome part of Rome - The location of this place is perfect, during the day quiet little alleys and at night the whole area comes alive with bars and restaraunts, leather shops. The apartment which looks onto a central enclosed private courtyard was perfect, had everything we needed was very clean and very well furnished. The apartment was quiet which was surprising considering there is so much nightlife close by but this location is secure and safe
- David (8/5): Great stay. Some initial confusion on bedding solved through good communication. -
- Matthew (10/5): Great location, lovely apartment! - Loved the property and the location. The apartment is very comfortable and extremely well equiped. The host was amazing. Great stay in Rome! Nothing everything was perfect.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Roberto, our host, is perfect. Also, it's location is really good.
- Mario (10/5): Exceptional -
- Virginia (10/5): Perfect, peaceful, comfortable and we will return. - Stunning location, beautiful courtyard, peace and yet only two minutes from Santa Maria in Trastevere. A lovely terrace was an added bonus, as was a very helpful and friendly host, Roberto. Nothing to dislike!
- Mcmahon (9/5): We had a very enjoyable stay. - The apartment was clean and comfortable, and located in a quiet location just off the bustling Trastevere area, which is full of restaurants, bars and people.
It is also in an excellent location to see the main sights in Rome, all within walking distance (a couple of miles).
The communication with Roberto and Fabrizio our taxi driver, was excellent.
We would stay in this apartment if visiting Rome again. The neighbours were a bit noisy.
- Nadia (10/5): great location. beautiful apt. - great location. beautiful apt.
- Kimberly (10/5): I would highly recommend booking this place. - Centrally located. within walking distance to almost everything
- Annalisa (10/5): Exceptional - such a charming place! location is super strategic, and Andrea was the best host - he even allowed us to check out in the afternoon with no extra fee! super recommended
- Monsal (9/5): Superb - The property is located in the Trastevere neighbourhood so if you like bars and restaurants, you're in the right place. Although it is situated in a busy neighbourhood, the property is tucked away so that you don't hear all the nightly noises. It is walking distance to the main attractions (about a half hour walk to the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain). Very close to the famous "Tonnarello" restaurant. We had some issues with the upstairs toilet but other than that, the place was lovely.
