The apartment was spacious with two bedrooms and 1 bathroom, perfect for four people. The bed was great, Wi-Fi worked well, and the washing machine was very handy. Loved the cute decoration and the extra coffee in the kitchen! Everything was great!

Appartamento, in una stradina chiusa e tranquilla ma allo stesso tempo vicino a locali (ristoranti, bar, etc). Ricavato da uno scantinato in modo molto ingegnoso e sorprendente! Il proprietario / gestore molto gentile e disponibile ad accomodare richieste o dare indicazioni per vedere / vivere meglio Roma. La cucina è molto piccola anche se fornita di tutto....

The only minor downside was the front door lock, that was difficult to open. If we come back to Rome, we would definitely stay here again!

Basic coffee items, toiletries. Was ok for us, but good to advise of stairs into apartment & to 2nd toilet are very steep. May be a challenge for those with mobility issues.

La zona è molto bella, vicino sia al Colosseo che a Santa Maria Maggiore, la sera ci sono molti locali e ristoranti e anche per fare colazione c'è l'imbarazzo della scelta vicino alla struttura. È praticamente un seminterrato. Subito aprendo la porta di ingresso c'è una scala da scendere abbastanza ripida. Le persone di una certa età e con problemi di deambulazione ne tengano conto.

Walking distance from most of the highlights and 10min from Termini. The host was very helpful, gave us tips on where to eat, how to get a taxi and answer our questions very fast. I highly recommend it. The bar next door was a bit loud

• Pregash (8/5): Good place to stay close to the colosseum - Location was very close to the main attractions, so very good Rooms were comfortable, bathrooms were small, hot water stops after a short while, one of us had to take a cold shower this is inspite of a shower time of just 5 minutes for each of us Kitchen was very small, there were no spoons to stir/ eat for eg, the steps were steep, elderly people should avoid this place as there is risk of falls, thankfully we are a younger family, still we had to be careful while getting down and up the stairs

Plus, there’s a fantastic restaurant right next door, which made dining out so easy and enjoyable. The owner was absolutely great – very friendly, responsive, and communicative throughout our stay. He gave us lots of helpful recommendations for local restaurants, which really enhanced our trip. What touched us most was his kindness and helpfulness. After we left, we realized that my daughter had accidentally left her phone behind. The owner kindly went out of his way to send it back to us, and we’re so grateful for his effort and care. Overall, a quiet, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay – we’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

• Bindu (2/5): Very poor - Location Crampy place and only one bathroom ! Its steep stairs down. Not worth the money at all. Just that the host was helpful. But imagine the embarrassment when we went as two couples and had to share the same bathroom which is in a bedroom. The other tiny bathroom is just a useless one . Would never recommend though the host was a good person

• Bob (6/5): Great location but be ready for stairs - The location was great for visiting major sites of Rome, starting with the Coloseum. It was about 10 minutes to the metro. Compared to other places we stayed, it was a longer walk to restaurants and such, so I'd say a bit off the main tourist area. Nicely decorated and the host was very responsive. Stairs. I saw pictures of stairs but didn't realize you are really underground in this unit. Very steep stairs at entry. Also stairs up to small kitchen area, which worked fine. The 2nd bathroom was also up a steep set of stairs, making this one only accessible for 1 at a time and was limiting for our party of 5. It did have windows looking out to courtyard in the 2 main bedrooms but did seem a bit musty since you are mostly underground.

• Kim (8/5): 50th birthday treat. - The accommodation is quirky and is really well located for getting around. It's well decorated and trendy. We weren't expecting the stairs to start as soon as you open the front door so it was a bit of a jump scare.

• W.f (8/5): Lovely location for citytrip to Rome. - The cosiness of the apartment. Location in Rome is perfect. Public transport nearby, Attractions within walking distance. The host is very easy to reach. Decoration and interior of the apartment. I missed the information on forehand that this apartment is not suitable for people with a disability. Keep in mind that you have to use a steep stone staircase with 15 steps down to enter the apartment!! Also there is a narrow staircase with 3 metal steps which lead to one of the 2 toilet rooms.

Loved the location— perfect for exploring Rome and had so many good restaurants, bars and cafes nearby. Grocery store within a few minutes walk. Relatively close to the train station and metro. Host was very friendly and gave lots of good suggestions. Loved the small touches like coffee, toiletries, salt, cooking oil, tea, laundry soap, etc. Makes for a much easier stay. Only one shower, but there are two toilets.
• Sue (10/5): We were there 2 nights and it was perfect for us - Lived up to the pictures, a quirky semi underground apartment. Clean, plenty of towels, easy to find. Lots of info from Marco Didn’t bother us but steep stairs into the apartment and one toilet so those who are infirm would struggle
• Lozzy (9/5): Funky apartment in a great location 👌 - We absolutely loved the location of this apartment - 10 mins from the Colosseum and less than 15 from Termini station. Marco's place is really funky and cool! There was more than enough room for all of us and the beds were good. The kitchenette with the full fridge was handy and it was a nice touch to have espresso available. The place was really clean too. Marco was very responsive to us if we had any questions or issues. We absolutely loved the bar next door - Blackmarket Hall - if you have a chance you have to go! Book in advance - its popular! Nothing we didn't like - just a few things to be super mindful of - the apartment is underground and there are very steep steps to get down into it. Just be aware! Also there is only 1 shower which is in the master bedroom so we had to have a roster for bathroom time! It was warm when we were there so it was a bit stuffy at times but manageable.

• Mischa (10/5): Rome in two days is not enough, but to be in the middle of it makes you feel part of the City - The Place is amazing. Marco the Host was very helpfull from the beginning of the reservation. Constantly communicating and asking if al was ok. we spent two nights there, in the middle of Rome and felt like we were really part o the City with this apartment. Only if you had some knee problems, to get down and up the stairs of the apartment is a problem. But the charme of the very special Rooms is not what you expect, and get amazed. We travelled with our own car and there was even enough parking right in front of the entrance. If we go to Rome again, we rent this apartment from Marco again.
• Thomas (10/5): Great apartment! Close to everything. - Place was in a great location! 12 minute walk to the Coliseum with lots of restaurants and small cocktail bars close by. Host was very accommodating and gave us lots of recommendations. Would stay here again, for sure!
• Raymond (4/5): Very disappointed. It was like staying in a musty basement. - The location was good. If you are traveling by yourself it would be fine. The host was very nice. The first night the water did not drain very good in the shower. We called the host and he came the next day and fixed it. Did not tell you you were in a basement. Not good for someone with breathing condition. It was very musty. A extremely small kitchen. Beds were not comfortable (it felt like a matrass pads or cots) No replacement of towels or toiletries . Shower is very small. The spare bathroom had a very narrow steep staircase, leading up to a very very small bathroom. In the mine bathroom looked like there was mold along the bottom of the bathroom floor.

• Holly (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Rome with a great location. - The property itself was absolutely lovely, it was spacious and clean in the perfect location for Rome. Everything was close by with only a 15-20 minute walk maximum, the colosseum and Trevi Fountain were only a 10 minute walk away. Next door to the apartment was a bar and restaurant called the BlackMarket Hall which we absolutely loved it had amazing food and great cocktails. The location of the apartment was exactly what we hoped for and the apartment was the perfect place for myself and my friends. And lastly, Marco is an absolutely exceptional host, he contacted me before we flew at and while we were staying to check everything was okay and we had everything we needed whilst giving us recommendations for local restaurants, bars and clubs. The stay was perfect! Absolutely nothing!

Bathrooms not accessible. 1st bathroom connected to bedroom so not accessible for other guests. 2nd bath was only 1/2 bath and very treacherous path to reach it. Bathrooms were moldy in several places. Entry was very steep with long stairs. Did not feel comfortable at all. 2nd bedroom without any curtains so outsiders could look in, and very bright in the AM. Entire apt was poorly ventilated and dark. Kitchen was so tiny could barely fit 1 person without hitting head on the ceiling.

• Andrew (10/5): Incredibly Charming Apartment in a Prime Location - Adorable apartment on a quiet alley close to numerous restaurants and shops. Check-in and out were very easy and the owner was incredibly responsive to all our questions and provided numerous recommendations for restaurants and activities. Apartment is located on a street which dead-ends at a walking district so there was no through traffic and the area felt very safe and friendly. We had everything we needed for our 4 night stay in Rome and couldn't have asked for better. Not a negative, but it's important to be aware that there is a flight of steps to get down into the apartment that might be a bit more difficult for those with limited mobility to navigate. Also the 2nd half-bath includes a few step stairs that could be difficult for some.
