• Gary (1/5): Didnt not like this place at all too many rules .did not feel Safe. would not recommend this place. - Nothing no food...kitchen not available.had some bottles of water two cups and two packets if instant coffee and two mango tea bags .. didnt see a kettle until we left ,which was on the top shelf in the closet. front door was unlocked so didnt need a code. signs up all over do not lock door put slippers on , house was very quite . room not very nice very dark. wierd . went into the bathroom after 11pm , door wasnt locked.whilst in there a mas coughed was sitting in the bath with the curtains drawn.I said i needed to go to , and his rpley was im thinking, I left straight away...he was in there for over 40 mins . we decided not to stay as we were booked in for two nights..as i didnot feel safe.

• hope (6/5): Inexpensive stay near Halifax basic bedroom accommodations with shared bathroom - Very clean Easy checkin Good parking Close to Halifax It's a simple bedroom setup on the third floor. There are three bedrooms and one shared bathroom. If I had know ahead of time I would have booked all rooms so we could have had more privacy. The rooms are very basic. No access to refrigerator or microwave. Very strict on rules and a long list of them but not a problem for my family.

Bien que le propriétaire nous ait laissé utiliser le micro-ondes, les équipements de la cuisine ne sont pas sensés être à disposition des clients. Une seule salle de bain (où se trouve les toilettes) donc parfois un peu d’attente.

• Caroline (5/5): Good for one night but nothing more - Good for one night but nothing more. Pretty quiet neighborhood. Host provides tea but there's nothing to boil water for it. No access to kitchen. It looked like someone's house where you can only access the room and shared bathroom.

Me costó llegar al alojamiento porque no disponía de auto y la parada de buses también estaba lejos pero para alguien que tenga vehículo está muy bueno.

• Candas (9/5): Pleasant, really enjoyed the place. - This one didn't have breakfast. The room is decorated in an unusual and attractive theme. I liked it. Nice people, and easy to self-check-in. This is my second stay of the trip in this place. Would totally recommend.

Bed was tiny and noisy 1 shower/toilet for 3 bedrooms (potentially 6 people)

• Lloyd (4/5): disappointed - the location is excellent bed was comfortable headboard blocked the only (small) window in a very dark room.. No TV was not aware of the number of stairs--mobility for my wife is limited dining/kitchen area not welcoming sharing a bathroom was a surprise

There was also a mini fridge in a bedroom kept making noise, but we couldn’t move it because of the rules. There also wasn’t a kitchen, not even a microwave. We couldn’t open windows in bedroom for fresh air.

There was taking care of the house when we first got there. The inside was fine. Room was nice and clean, but the outside appearance made us when we first got there.
• David (5/5): Would not stay again. - The owner is the best in communication, answers your emails very quickly. She tries her best to solve problems she can, (changed our linty towels), unfortunately she couldn't solve most. Good location in town. The list of 20 odd points of "house rules" are intimidating to say the least. See attached picture, they must have had horrible guests before to come up with this. The rules reach you everywhere, the minute after you book via email, then again via message, on paper when you enter the house, again when you enter your room. The numerous penalties listed ($20 for eating, $250 for smoking, partying, $50 for key loss, replacement cost for scratched furniture, $5 for every 30min early checkin, $10 for every 30min late checkout, rounded up, so $20 for 31 minutes, etc. make the "enjoy your stay" at the end sound sarcastic. No kitchen or dining room, so practically no eating facility in the house, as food is forbidden in the bedroom, remember? The paper thin walls and incredibly squeeky floors are not the host's fault of course, but we couldn't sleep well for 3 nights as our neighbor walked around a lot at night, and when not, he was snoring from midnight till 10am.

Good value with the room and shared washroom. The booking.com ad for the room was accurate for what I wanted. The room was good. The booking process was easy and the owner gave a lot of info during and prior to check in. Unfortunately the shower did not work. Followed the instructions but I think the water mixing valve was stripped. I was on a tight schedule and did not contact the owner about it. The bed was a a little small for me. I'm over 6 foot.

• Ashwin (6/5): Facilities were OK but the quality was low. - Facilities were good. Washroom was clean. The blankets and the pillow cover was black so couldn’t make sure if it’s clean. The covers were not changed or offered to change during our 3 days stay. The bed and cot was not comfortable and was very noisy whenever we move. The refrigerator was leaking and our bag was wet coz it was kept near to it and noticed next day morning only. The TV screen was damaged, part of the screen was faded.
• David (8/5): I would not stay more than one night - The place was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There are two things I didn't appreciate 1. The fact that you can't open the window in the room. We could not get fresh air from the outside in the room. We could only use the air-conditioning. 2. Receiving this incredibly long list of house rules (see below) AFTER having made the reservation. I was particularly surprised by the last sentence: "Guests waive their rights to a lawsuit against the host or landlord." _________________________ Hello. The host is very considerate to provide guest slippers at the front doors and tea bag ,kettle, fridge with two bottles of water in the guest room, which makes our staying very convenient and comfortable. The shared bathroom is spacious and everything is neat and tidy. A truly 5 star experience!

• Kim (7/5): Great for sleep and meditation but that’s it - Very peaceful and clean! If your looking for a place to just lay your head, and watch TV, then this is it! Very quiet and peaceful! These rooms are in someone’s home! You will have to all do all your eating out..no food aloud in the rooms, which I found disappointing. I’m assuming you’re aloud water as there were two complimentary bottles in a small fridge located in one of the rooms!
