Guest Reviews
- Scott (9/5): - Location was awesome
Lots of room
New carpet
Good showers Unfortunately the salt plays havoc with doors etc.
Air con or a fire place would've been super cool.
- George (3/5): Grand old dame past her prime - Location and view This house is a grand old dame well past her prime. The house is run down. You are greeted by a terrible smell in the house which didn't dissipate over the three days of our stay. There was rat poo on the inside stairs the morning after we got there. When you get to the very damaged entrance door there is a gutter at waist height which was full of rat poo. The crockery and cutlery was very dirty. Things are cracked and leaking. Augusta is windy and the house whistles and bangs. Every time a window was opened the manhole in the ceiling opened and banged shut. We were asked to wash dishes but no tea towels were provided. We were asked to sort rubbish and threatened with a fine if it wasn't done correctly but no internal recycling bins were provided. Two rooms were full of junk which I presume was the owners. There was a pile of old lounge cushions piled into a corner of the lounge. The bedroom TV didn't work. I could go on. But hopefully you get the picture. I think this house would once have been fabulous and a wonderful holiday home for a couple of families to visit. But as it is, and compared to places nationally and internationally we have stayed in for a lower price it was very disappointing. The photos online are not showing the true picture.
- Tiggersuki (6/5): Good place to stay for a sea view - Perfect location opposite the sea. Not too far out of town and close to the lighthouse.
Very spacious, light and bright. Place looks great from the front and just across from Granny's Pool a big advantage Some plug sockets do not work. Kitchen work surface sticky, needs sanding and revarnishing.
Some rings on the hob do not work.
Cushions for outdoor furniture showing signs of mould.
- Andrew (8/5): It was all about the location and the quiet for us. The weather was good and the location stunning. - Location was excellent Lots of rules about the property. What you cannot do
- Chantel (7/5): Excellent vibe, great location, great place to chill, watch the ocean and relax - Excellent location, very easy to get in, house was clean and tidy Should have been notified in a TXT message preferably that I needed to turn the hot water system no. I went 2.5 days without hot water and because I am not one to make a fuss I didn't speak up.
- Sebastian (8/5): Very good - The location is outstanding and the house is really big. Kids enjoyed the lawn a lot. Interior has aged to some degree. But everything is working properly. Some spiderwebs.
- Luke (10/5): Augusta is amazing - The location can't be beaten. Augusta is so beautiful and peaceful. The locals are very welcoming. The beachfront walks around the bays, and the marina are amazing. The "Augustans" should be proud of their town! The property is dated. However, the price reflects this. The main issue is the cleanliness of the property. There was a very high level of dust not cleaned on and in the furniture (Mainly cabinets). The cushions are dirty and there are multiple cobwebs in the area behind the kitchen. Also the undercover parking area has a lot of debris. We sustained a puncture from parking under there with a screw being lodged in a tyre (not a cheap repair).
- Alethea (10/5): exceptional - Loved the lounge room, had everything you need to enjoy the stay Netflix, heating was great. Very comfortable in all rooms. Great views, a nice little park down the road with bbqs, jetty’s and nice area for kids to play a the beach.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
