Hi Adewale,
Im very sorry, but weve had to cancel your booking. The property sustained damage from previous guests and furnitures needs to be replaced.
A full refund has been issued to the card on file. Depending on your bank, it may take a few business days to appear. When the booking was cancelled. I later moved to 3BR Amazing by Bricklane. I was shocked when I was asked to rate the accommodation as the booking was canceled. Please need my a full refund to be made to me.
- Keerthy (1/5): Bad - I booked the stay for 1/12/24 and it was booked on 1/11/24 and they took the full amount.Damage deposit was not show in the site and when we showed up in the property address there was an old lady who lives there for years .i did tried to contact the host and they didn’t pick up the calls .Tried several times and spent around 3 hours in the area to get them back to me . But they haven’t and I tried the customer service and they contact the host and informed us that since we haven’t paid the damage deposit they won’t give us the property details.Hence the property details shown in the site is fake .we spent around 4-5 hours to get another accommodation and spent around extra £900 for travel and last minute booking.This property details are fake don’t trust them .
- Claire (1/5): DO NOT TRUST. - The man who answered the door to tell us it was his mums home and not an Airbnb was very polite. The entire thing is a scam- that booking.com MUST have to realise soon and remove from the site.
We arrived at the address to find a residential property that belonged to an elderly woman. Spent hours on the phone trying to resolve the issue with booking.com and hosts. Then received a phone call stating they had a gas leak and were uncertain if they could host us (90mins prior to check in time), they said they were ‘too busy’ to put this in writing on the platform, and evaded questions about where the property was. We tried to arrange alternative accommodation through booking.com customer services however the hosts then messaged on the app to say they could host (no details of address) and to meet a man in a shop for instructions- 20mins following this I received a phone call to say they could not host due to the previously mentioned gas leak. (Again, they said they would not put this in writing- meaning booking.com could not organise alternative accommodation as they were told we were being offered accommodation by the hosts!). Through the day I spoke with at least 3 different people from the ‘host company’, who all told me different stories. The main number provided on booking.com to contact does not work.
Still have not received the deposit back, booking.com did refund accommodation price the next morning though.
Whilst looking for somewhere else to stay at 10pm on the day because of this utter shambles, I noted a shocking number of similarly marketed properties with similar reviews about ‘last minute cancellations due to plumbing issues’ ect, and issues with deposits being returned.
- Jack (1/5): Would not recommend one bit. - This property does not stipulate correctly on booking.com their T&Cs at the time of booking. We were denied staying in this place for reasons that were not on the booking.com site.
- Kirry (1/5): Bad - Not suitable for last minute bookings. We booked same day but were not allowed in because the GBP 600 deposit had to be on the host's bank account in cleared funds. Our booking and deposit were refunded in full and promptly the next week
