Guest Reviews
- Davies (7/5): - Wonderfully set up in a beautiful location. I was unable to access the water heating pilot light that may have been the reason we had no hot water that did the 'gl' from the 'amping'
I've done a lot of camping at all levels but Lyn hadn't and won't again. A pity.

- Peter (10/5): Delightful and cosy experience - Location
Quietness
Nature
Atmosphere and vibe None
- Isha (10/5): - The way they had each and every small thing available Everything was eexcellent, I was just not able to access hot water, rest all good
- Kira (10/5): Glamping is the go ! - Such a unique experience ! The wild life is amazing! Birds and possums EVERYWHERE!
- Jack (1/5): Absolute Nightmare - Facilities Mostly Broken or Non-Functional and Staff Extremely Rude + Unhelpful - The location is excellent, the lake is gorgeous Everything was broken when we arrived, we received an email from Numie saying there was a known electrical fault with our tent but that they would move us if it caused any issues. The electricity in the tent was not working when we arrived of course, I called 6 times with no response and eventually Shevy said she would send out an electrician (insted of moving us as promised) - Obviously she also never sent the electrician. We ran out of fuel for the heater at one point also and when we asked for more we were just told by Shevy there was more than enough for us provided so we were left in a freezing tent all night. Also water heater for shower obviously did not work so water is freezing. Literally the only thing that worked was the heated until the electrical failure occurred at some point in the early evening and then again overnight. Also all of the human waste from the toilets is actually stored three meters from our tent behind a bush, which is gross beyond belief.
Staff (Shevy) are extremely rude
Facilities are in dire need of repair (smashed glass around site, sauna broken, water for shower does not heat, heater broken)
Cannot truly belive they are asking almost $500 for this experience - We are pursuing through Booking.com for a refund as tbh it nearly ruined our holiday (luckily after the third thing being broken it became essentially a joke and me and my friend were able to see the funny side of how poor the entire experience was)
Memorable for all the wrong reasons
Please avoid, I do recommend glamping in this area but absolutely avoid Numie at all costs, I do not want you to experience what we did. All the best

- Milissa (10/5): Our first experience glamping. We loved it. Room/tent was cosy and warm with the heating/fire and everything req - Beautiful views, ease of checkin, details provided beforehand. Everything was well prepared and thought of. Our first time glamping. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the outside set up as we only had one night and it rained. Woke up to a beautiful sunrise over water out front of tent. Na

- Lisa (9/5): Would definitely stay again! Great reset!!! - Peaceful except for the neighbour standing on the balcony next door talking hands free for 40 minutes. Can’t help inconsiderate people everywhere! Wildlife was amazing. Views are sensational whole off grid experience was great! Very well set up and extremely comfortable and clean! Nothing. It was all amazing!
- Regina (9/5): - We loved the peaceful location with the ever-changing light (the comfy bed and warm shower too :)

- Deana (10/5): -
- Liz (10/5): - Clean, cozy, quiet, lovely place
- Angela (9/5): Lovely teepee - Loved the teepee. Beautiful linens and comfortable bed. Cosy pellet fireplace inside. Great firepit and kitchen area set up outside. Lots of wildlife around, particularly at dusk. Loved it so much that we chose to stay a 2nd night, this time in one of the cocoons.
- Eimer (10/5): -
- Boris (9/5): Stunning place with a touch of luxury camping - Wonderful location, quiet, great facilities for a wonderful glamping experience.
- Michael (10/5): An experience not to be missed. Magnificent. - From the instant we arrived, we were enchanted by this place. Our glamping adventure in the heart of nature was simply spectacular. Though the air was chilly, the clear skies revealed a breathtaking display of stars. Our private fire kept us cozy, while little wallabies and possums charmed us at night. Stepping into our beautifully appointed "tent" and lighting the wood pellet fire elevated the romance of the entire experience. This was truly a delightful place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here. Everything was wonderful.
- Hunter (10/5): What an incredible stay! 5 ⭐️ - Everything! It was all perfect!
- Bronte (10/5): -
- Jacqueline (10/5): -
- Samantha (10/5): Enjoyable stay. Peaceful and serene. - We had the most amazing experience staying at Numie in the glamping tent. It was comfortable, clean, warm and had everything we needed. They were easy to communicate with and always available if we needed anything. We were met by the beautiful surrounds and wildlife. Cozy firepit in the evenings with marshmallows was a nice treat. Very enjoyable.
- Yeong (9/5): Great camping experience with modern comfort - The experience was unforgettable. Experiencing nature with modern comfort. The surroundings was perfect for a camping. We had strong winds at night but the tent was sturdy through the night. The night sky was beautiful and we managed to spot some small animals at the campsite Limited power point but that was expected during camping
- Audrey (10/5): Exceptional - Everything... 1st time glamping... and I'm a convert... will be doing this again for sure. Nothing.
- Subhash (10/5): Exceptional - All good None
- Darren (10/5): Perfection - Neat clean private
Smothered in nature
- Elizabeth (8/5): A lovely peaceful location amongst nature. - Facilities have been very well considered- great experience.
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaaron (10/5): Best experience ever - It is so comfortable and wild at the same time. We had breakfast seeing kangaroos Nothing to mention
- Suhail (9/5): Superb -
- William (7/5): Good - Location was great
- Deepanjan (6/5): Nice glamping but need full disclosure - Our tent was beautifully decorated with a boho theme, and came complete with a comfortable bed, linen sheets, and a mini fridge that gave it a glamping feel. There was a lovely little kitchen hut that was well equipped with a BBQ, gas stove, utensils, and cutlery - with basic condiments and olive oil also provided. The location was also serene, right on Coles Bay.
Luggage trolleys to cart bags from the car park area to the tent were also provided, which was very helpful. Wifi is also available and worked well The bathroom for our tent (Tea tree)was located in a seperate tent, and comprised of an eco non flush composting toilet, a hand basin, and a shower with a large round tub. Whilst nicely set up, the bathroom lacked any electricity, meaning if you wanted to use the toilet or take a shower at night, you needed to take a hand held lantern with you. This was not mentioned anywhere on the website or booking pages, nor by the hosts, and needs to be disclosed, as the tent accomodation is not suitable for anyone that would require assisted/safe access to functional facilities.
Also, there was no electrical conduits or lighting available in our sleeping tent either. This was an inconvenience as had we known, we could have planned accordingly and brought power banks and charged up our laptops elsewhere.
- Caroline (10/5): A fantastic immersion in the Australian bush - We loved our stay at Numie! It felt like a full immersion in the Australian bush with bird song, wind in the tree tops and things going bump in the night.. we think possums and wombats! This was a very different experience for us in Australia and we absolutely loved it. It’s camping with a very comfy bed and a lot of nice touches and the tent was spotlessly clean. We especially liked sitting down at the estuary edge in the evenings, it was so quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again. Nothing
- Cathy (10/5): A chance to wind down in serene surroundings with creature comforts of home. - Venue was superb, peaceful and quiet . Wood chopped ready to go, gas cylinder ready and really comfortable bed .
- Natalie (10/5): GLAMPING IN STYLE AND COMFORT! - What’s not to like about the property? Something different which really forced us to relax and enjoy nature! The tents were so clean and we were very impressed with the bathroom tent! The hosts were in constant contact with helpful and friendly messages - this stay with definitely the highlight of our trip to Tassie! I cannot think of anything at all besides the mozzies, they were horrendous in the evening sitting outside but we were even provided with a natural mosquito repellent which helped so much!
- Robert (10/5): Loved it but wanted more - The bed comfort was great and loved the fire
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the tent and the whole set up. Perfect Perfect the way it is
- Guanru (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jiyeon (10/5): Great cosy glamping site. Would stay again - Such a cosy glamping experience. We loved it. Listening to the birds in the morning, seeing some possums and wallabies. As expected with camping got too hot in the tent on a very hot day. But otherwise loved it all.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (8/5): Peaceful and regenerative - What a perfect spot to relax in front of the fire, breath in the bush and connect with nature, the animals and birds. Close to the local key sights and some beautiful beaches.
The bed was super comfy, the tent cozy with thoughtful touches like the bean bags, blankets, tea, coffee and the little fridge.
The kitchen was well equipped with awesome cookware for using on the fire. The hosts were very responsive with any needs and questions.
This is glamping while still experiencing nature at its most raw.
- Claire (10/5): Most spectacular location with the cosiest glamping tent. - We had a fabulous 3 day stay in a Numies Glamping tent. The location was spectacular and everything you needed was there. If there was anything you did need the Numie team were always helpful and on call.
We had the friendliest possum come to visit us the first night and the resident wallabies were very cute. Wildlife and scenery were fabulous and it ticked in the boxes for a total retreat for the body and soul. 💖 Nothing- we loved it.
- Courtney (10/5): Beautiful glamping - Amazing location, met wallabies and possums onsite. Well stocked outdoor kitchen for preparing meals. Very comfortable bed and tent.
- Phillip (9/5): Superb -
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victorien (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leanne (10/5): Highly recommend this property . The hosts have thought of everything to provide the most comfortable stay Glamping - Everything right down to the amenities the position and the way the hosts have provided the ultimate private oasis. The comfort was out of this world for camping and it’s a great credit to how they have created this space Nothing
- Petra (9/5): Superb - Would have loved some food platter options to buy as optional extras.
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janaina (10/5): Exceptional - What a paradise they have there. It was really the highlight of our travel to Australia, and we wish we could have stayed more. Please don't change anything! The vibes are perfect and everything is cozy and like home. Everything was perfect.
- Amber (10/5): We needed a de-stress and Numie was the perfect place for us! - Such a great option for something just a little bit different!
Wonderfully thoughtful accommodation in a fantastic location.
Cosy, welcoming and beautifully done all round.
- Giada (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helene (7/5): Good - Cozy fireplace, close to the beach and comfy bed. Great and very friendly communication. Only negative was a possum that came up to us when we were barbecuing. Nothing against the accommodation itself, but something to be aware of if you set up for dinner a bit too close to dusk.
- Naralle (9/5): Our experience
Our experience. - Love the tent and how it was dressed Toilet odour detract s from shower bath experience .
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kamellia (9/5): Superb - The tent was so well decked out, with all amenities supplied for a comfortable stay. Whilst we had a very windy night, it was a bit hard to cook dinner on the camp stove.
- Pohil (10/5): Great for a group of 6 if you can hire all three tents! - Beautiful location, lovely kind hosts who kept in touch at a distance. We had all three tents between us, loved the thoughtful areas around the site, such as outdoor fire pits and little wind protected outdoor kitchens. There was a really friendly chook that followed us around, and a very brazen possum after our delicious pastries which made it fun for my friend who wasn't used to such novelties! Didn't not like anything to be honest. The whole place was gorgeous, designed well and clean! Unfortunately one friend set off the smoke alarm in her tent which had us all up. Just had a setting turned the wrong way then it was completely fine! We had to keep the fires going to stay warm, which meant the window had to stay open. It does mean that you wake up to the crisp park air though, which was the whole point!
- Sylvia (9/5): A great way to camp! - Numie was a great way to experience camping in such a beautiful spot. We had a lovely view of Pelican Bay from our fire and camp chairs. We are inexperienced campers so cooking was challenging, but we really enjoyed the comfort of our tent and spent most of our time resting after our hikes anyway. We visited in winter so it was inevitably cold, but we were well provided with wood for fire in and next to our tent. Numie is a soft launch to camping for novices - with a clean and sturdy compost toilet and camping shower - within a private tent. Thanks for the experience!
- Scarlett (9/5): An amazing experience for a couple looking to unwind and disconnect with the world. - Amazing location, very cosy, lovely amenities. The combustion heater is amazing, we couldn’t get the hang of it at first but our hosts helped so quickly! Literally nothing; it’s dreamy!
- Yvonne (9/5): Surprised, amazing - Amazing place N/A
- Stuart (5/5): A genuine glamping experience - Attention to detail with lots of nice touches in the decor and facilities. The tents were made cosy and comfortable with wood burner, in a great location near the waterside. If the weather had been better, we would have taken advantage of the outside fire and kitchen area. Unfortunately the terrible weather meant we couldn't appreciate the full glamping experience. Unzipping the tent at night and walking to the loo tent. Too much like camping and not quite glamping.
- Vladislav (10/5): Exceptional -
- Prashant (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isabella (10/5): Exceptional - The glamping facilities at Numie were phenomenal. You could tell the hosts had put thought into everything from a little log burner inside the tent to board games. We really enjoyed eating out by the fire and walking down to see a weak aurora over the water. Everything is provided to make a fire and cook food. You can see the Hazards in the distance, which is lovely. The tent is cozy and well designed. We were left a welcome note on entering, which was a nice touch. I enjoyed relaxing in the bean bags and reading. Numie has all the comforts of home and all the benefits of nature. Nothing, it was perfect
- Fang (9/5): Superb -
- Kristen (9/5): Superb -
- Premi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Penny (8/5): Quiet picturesque beautiful space - Beautiful set up - all little extras thought well through to make for a gorgeous relaxing stay No access to food options - maybe a cheese platter option even
- Manh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeanette (10/5): Nature & Nurture in this idylic setting with all the comforts of home 💜 - The location is stunning & the lovely quality of everything from sheets & towels to throw rugs & bean bags gives the experience a sense if luxury.
The hosts have thought of everything & VERY quick to respond to any issues or questions. Great communication!!! The tents are located quite close to each other. It didn’t bother us but I would imagine if you had a loud neighbour it could be annoying.
- Leesa (10/5): Wonder stay and the hosts were excellent.. They were so friendly, helpful and welcoming.. I would highly recommend Numie - The whole experience was excellent. The fireplace/wood burner could have been slightly bigger and a power board for charging laptops ect would have been excellent.
- Heidi (7/5): Good - The property was beautiful and the view was awesome. The supplies provided, utensils, cooking supplies, hot drinks, books, soap and extra blankets were lovely. The tent was clean and comfortable with phone chargers and a fireplace. The self check in and self checkout was convenient. There was a friendly chicken who followed me around as I was cooking breakfast which was very fun. The gas tank was empty when I went to have a shower so after 30 seconds of hot water it went ice cold. I was wet and freezing which doesn’t make going out and changing over the gas cylinder an easy task. It would be appreciated if this was filled prior to arrival. The tent was rather cold even with a lit fire and many blankets. It rained during the night and water dripped through the tent onto my face as I was sleeping. It would be nice if the stay was longer then 3pm to 10am for the money. Neighbouring tents are also very close by.
- Sophie (10/5): Romantic and unique way to experience Tasmania! - That it was in a secluded spot surrounded by nature, the cooking amenities were brilliant, the fire in the tent was cosy and romantic, and the pet chicken was the best part.
Everything had a very personal touch to it, right down to the handwritten note on the bed upon arrival welcoming my partner and I to Numie. Would definitely recommend to a friend and stay again!
- Dhilukshan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Andrea (10/5): Simply amazing … a brilliant night’s sleep! -
- Spiro (10/5): First time Glamping and it did not disappoint. Our Host were fantastic location was awesome. -
- Nicole (10/5): This was perfection! - Location, amenities, facilities, peacefulness, scent. Close neighbours
- Vicky (10/5): Quiet, serene, luxury camping - The tent is extremely comfortable with luxurious touches such as the linen sheets and bean bags. The chicken that lives there was adorable. You’ll see lots of wildlife there during your stay. Waking up to water views was also amazing.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorraine (9/5): A hidden gem - Loved the location and the set up, particularly the friendly chicken lol. Super comfy bed and all the little touches to make our stay lovely. The gas bottles for the cooker were empty so we could only boil the kettle on the BBQ. And the equipment wasn’t very clean perhaps due to the last guests. Little things that should have been checked before we stayed but we worked around it and would definitely recommend to everyone. It was one of the highlights of our Tassie stay
- Romi (10/5): There is camping. Next is glamping. Finally there is Numieing! Smallest details were thought through. - Great location. Attention to detail. Sustainability. Well done!! Option to turn off the gazebo/kitchen lights.
- Krichelle (6/5): Pleasant - The property was in a good location, close to where we had activities planned, lovely view and lots of care taken with creating a wholesome nature vibe with finishing touches. Check in was easy with all instructions provided in advance. Unfortunately we had very noisy neighbours and as the tents are considerably closer to each other than I had anticipated, it felt as though they were in our tent with us until late at night and first thing in the morning.
The lanterns provided in the main room went flat in less than half hour which made it very difficult because we wanted showers but there was no lighting at all.
It was a cold, dark walk to get to the toilet and I’d hate to stay if it was raining.
Compared to other glamping sites we’ve stayed at, this site made us feel there wasn’t the value for the money spent. We left feeling very tired and disappointed.
- Marilyn (10/5): Perfect accommodation for this time of year - Attention to detail and a warm welcoming feel to the accommodation Cannot fault this accommodation with the proviso that the weather is very important to the experience and being able to enjoy the setting
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - They thought of everything. So many small details that made it extra special.
A unique experience, different to a bog standard hotel. Glamping adds a bit of excitement to a stay. Super comfy bed, private clean bathroom and beautiful views on the water. Had dinner outside and then got cosy in the tent with the fire and comfy beanbags Nothing
- Scott (7/5): All good except the terrible pillows. - We loved the set up and the privacy between the tents. It offered a lot of lovely features to enjoy a fun experience. Out of all the places I’ve stayed over the last 35 years of travelling, the pillows at Numie would have to be the worst I have ever slept on. It ruined what could of been a wonderful experience. Flat lumpy pillows = no sleep for both of us. Very disappointed when they have gone to so much trouble with the lovely linen and other design features.
