Guest Reviews

- Mark (10/5): Wonderful place for a family hang out - Elliot Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. When we first walked in there was a real 'wow' factor' at the beautiful open floor living room/kitchen area. All the bedrooms are good quality and have enough space. The games room on the ground floor provides plenty of options and is a good place for the youngsters to hang out.
The highlights are (i) the balcony facing the trees which give you a real sense of being amongst the bird life - we had kookaburras feeding out of our hands - and (ii) the large hot tub which was a lot of fun.
The site is very private and a short drive to some of the quaint villages nearby. Overall, I thoroughly recommend staying here.
- Coffey (9/5): - House is lovely, comfortable and clean. It was also very generously supplied.
And the local kookaburras were a friendly lot! Front door lock was very difficult to use - an unusual set-up made trickier by the fitting being loose.
Also a loose fitting on door to balcony made it hard to lock.
- Kirsteen (10/5): Great stay, beautiful location, very spacious, clean and comfortable house. - Beautiful, peaceful location - very calming.
The house was very clean and comfortable and provided a lot of amenities (hot tub, pool table, lot of space to spread out). The driveway is very steep.
Lack of accessible power outlets in one of the smaller bedrooms.
- Theona & Ryan (10/5): - We had an issue with the door lock jamming, so we couldn't lock it when we left
- Lara (9/5): - Loveld the size and facilities in the house. The Tranquil location was amazing.
- Anne (10/5): Brilliant - Location, hot tub, lots of space and bathrooms Dishwasher does not wash very well, coffee cups stained
- Omar (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (9/5): Superb -
- Cindy (10/5): Easy to find , comfortable and spacious - It was very clean , spacious and modern . The surroundings were lovely and green , lots of birds . Lots of room for parking and was close to our venue. Can’t say I found any thing wrong
- Irene (10/5): It’s a stunning view, gorgeous area. Loved our stay there. - Beautiful scenery, lots of gorgeous birds. Plenty of room for us all.
Lovely furniture. The downstairs vanity is impossible to brush your teeth, I had to brush my teeth in the laundry trough.
The bathroom upstairs over the bathtub, the water goes everywhere and the floor gets flooded. Makes it a bit dangerous, not a sensible design.
So we had to use the dryer a lot to dry out the floor mat everyday.
- Caitlyn (10/5): Everything provided for a comfortable and relaxing stay. - Amazing property. So clean and everything is well thought of. Really appreciated all the small additions that make this place to comfortable! Beds are comfy, toys for the kids are great. Loads of spaces for play and relaxing. Kitchen very well appointed. Bathrooms all stocked with quality body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Backs onto bushland so very peaceful. Nothing!
- Samantha (9/5): Beautiful, very well equipped home. Fireplaces an absolut bonus and a lovely yard for the dog to run - The instrructions to open the key safe were not provided prior to checkin but I luckily managed to get hold of someone when we arrived. There were no cas bottles in the outdoor heater
- Debbie (9/5): Perfect for 8 peopke - Loved to space, the quietness and just such a nice place. Nothing, oh, maybe the driveway.
- Bundacat (9/5): Lovely large modern house in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges - Lovely modern house in a beautiful leafy mountain setting. Spotlessly clean. The kitchen was the best equipped of any I have stayed at. Comfortable beds and three bathrooms were very good. Very helpful host when one guest accidently left some property behind. Our group enjoyed our stay immensely. Place was hard to find from the instructions given. You need to say clearly that the driveway is the first on the LEFT, on the low side of the road. Too many people turned up the first driveway on the right, which led to another house, where turning around was difficult.
Lack of insulation between bedrooms meant you could hear conversations and people walking along the corridor.
Central heating was very difficult to control, which was a problem in winter. The living-room stayed cold despite our efforts to heat it, while some of the bedrooms had tropical heat levels. Some clear instructions on the heating control panel and basic instructions on using the wood heater would be useful.
We tried to separate the rubbish into categories, but labels on the five different bins would have been useful.
