Guest Reviews
- Tracy (9/5): Superb -
- Diego (1/5): No recommend it! - Smelling like mould, bao has air circulation because it is totally exposed to the window to the street so you can enter the house. The owner doesn’t want to help, he lies, makes it difficult, makes you feel guilty for his mistake, unable to be a human being of character with all the aritudes he showed with my case. I don’t recommend it! I don’t recommend it! I don’t recommend it!
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (1/5): Booking.com really stuck it to me in a foreign country and ripped me off and let me down in a big way - Nothing, they canceled my booking Took my money and wouldnt respond to check messages and them after talking to customer service after a long phone wait they canceled on me via email imstead of calling me as they promised.
Im traveling from New Zealand and they took a good sum of my travel money and left me in a position in London with no where else to go with all my luggage.
I was them told theres a no refunds policy and upto 48 hours check in wait even if you have booked close to check in which they should not allow
- Jessica (6/5): Good location and great communication from owner - Close to the tube station and local bars/shops. When we arrived there was no toilet paper and the radiator was off the wall. This was resolved as soon as we mentioned it to the owner.
- Belinda (1/5): Bad!!! Place really not great - Nothing Really gone down hill, first could not get in and standing in rain as code would not work, then inside dirty, radiator pulled off wall, no loo roll, no cups or glasses. Place not clean, marks and holes in wall, plus damp on wall
- Lozano (1/5): Danger ⚠️ - Don't rent this apartment, go out to visit the city, when I returned my belongings were gone.
Only me and the employees had the password to enter the door, they waited for me to leave to steal my iPod, my bank card and money. Don't rent this apartment, go out to visit the city, when I returned my belongings were gone.

- Nombulelo (2/5): It was horrible promised WiFi but none for the rest of the stay even though host promised to sort it - Location close to shops they should have made sure that it was in good standard not having bed bugs and ants as we couldn’t sleep in the room on arrival had to sleep in the sofa and cover ourselves with our costs as we couldn’t use the bedding . We were moved to another flat in day two had to bring our belongings up and they cleaned original room and they asked us to move back . I think they need to give us part of the money as we slept with no duvets on day one due to bed bugs.
- Anita (9/5): Superb - Is new confortable and good location
- Gogebakan (10/5): Exceptional - Good Good
- Harwinder (1/5): Disgusting - Nothing not cleaned so messed everywhere Someone used the whole apartment before us
- Krishna (7/5): Good -
- Shadia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naser (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (5/5): Passable -
- David (9/5): Arrived late. Left early. Perfect spot. Comfortable - Fabulous little place Could do with a few lamps in main room. Lights are incredibly bright throughout!
- Jorge (1/5): Dirty apartment. It should be on Booking.com - Nothing Everything was bad, really bad:
Food left inside the fridge
Wet and dirty towels around
Really horrible smell
Bed sheets were dirty with stains from sex for the previous tenants.
I had to leave the property and find a new one. I also requested the full refund and the owner is not answering to Booking.com enquiries.
- Belinda (4/5): Nice modern place, but lacks love/care from owners. Communication really really bad from owner. - Nice and modern with bedroom, kitchen/lounge area and bathroom. Sheets are always clean and nicely made. I have stayed at this property multiple time, I have contacted the owners multiple times, explaining the high security risk, that the cleaners are leaving the building not secure. I just get ignored. I am worried for the building security, my security entering the property and also liability of damage if someone breaks in and i don't want to be blamed.
i have informed them multiple time the shower drain keeps blocking and floods the bathrooms, no washing up liquid and no bin. The floor is always dirty, and often shower floor not cleaned. Its a real shame as nice place but owners don't seem to care.
Also as directly at the back of tescos, and deliveries all night, this often wakes me up as very noisy.
- Shemos (7/5): Very nice decent sized clean apartment exactly like the pictures but can be a little noisy. - The heating was great, the apartment also had constant hot water! Spacious bathroom and living room with cutlery and towels. Very close to the overground station (hackney central) and a tesco around the corner as well as a plethora or shops (Primark, Iceland, corner shops, fruit market). It can be loud as it is on a busy street with trucks and trains passing by. As it is close to the train station you can hear a lot of people outside at all times. Not an issue for me but if you are sensitive to sound i wouldn’t recommend as you can hear plenty of noise from the bedroom window as it is directly connected to the busy street on the ground floor.
- Hamish (1/5): Bad - I liked nothing about the property it was not cleaned soaking wet towels lying all over the floor bed was un made and rubbish everywhere! I want a refund owner has not replied to me very disappointed as this is my 28th stay with booking.com I liked nothing about the property it was not cleaned soaking wet towels lying all over the floor bed was un made and rubbish everywhere!
- Damon (1/5): SHIT - Not much very disappointed with the host and property. The host had MINIMAL communication with me when I asked for the wifi which took 4 days to get of them. The drain to the shower was blocked and would fill up and over floor in a minute. The property was directly across from a Tesco loading dock so good luck trying to sleep with that and on top of the nest of bed bugs that you have to sleep with. Absolutely disgusting and poorly maintained.
- George (7/5): it was ok ish - the location The property floor was very dirty all over
- Logan (10/5): easy to get in , room was comftsble and clean , apartment is really modern and i really enjoyed the stay would recommen - easy access, close walk to tube station , fairly quite sleeping with windows open
- Frost (1/5): Disappointing, for the recently updated look of the place and the price per night. I'd expect better - the property has been recently renovated The door is not secure, it's an internal door which goes straight out into a back alley behind the Tesco's. there was a gap under the door and no threshold. The combination lock installed on the door is not secure (it's something usually used to stop access to something like a staff room, rather than an entrance to a property.), this means that anyone could lightly shove the door and it will open, and with it being an internal door, it's easy to break in. The combination lock is soo inadequate, It would not lock, which meant whenever I left the apartment, I could not lock the door. This meant I didn't feel safe staying there.
The other major issue is with the Tesco's depot opposite the apartment, not only was there floodlights glaring through the non blackout blinds all night long, but there were delivery vehicles reversing throughout the night, which kept me awake.
There was also no bin in the apartment, which meant I had to just place my rubbish by the sink, and no welcome mat, which would help keep the apartment cleaner.
The other issue I had, was when I took a shower, the water would not drain out, which meant the floor of the bathroom would flood. There's a lot of improvements which would need to happen before I'd stay again, especially at that price range.
- Ghostuwyo (1/5): Couldn't stay, had to get new booking. - Nothing. Couldn't get into the house because of unclear instructions given and hosts never answered multiple phone calls, messages and emails. Had to contact Booking.com directly. Host switched their phone off and never answered any form of attempted contact. Very unclear instructions given on where the building was or how to get into the building.
- Belinda (8/5): Home away from home - Love it that there is a little kitchen, so nice to be able to prepare food when im away rather then rely on takeaways, great tesco is next door. Lovely to have a lounge/kitchen area. Bed very comfy. When you open window to get some fresh air or reduce temperature, it is very noisy. Tesco lorries deliver in the night, right outside window. Never saw how to get the free wifi. i whatsapped owner but they never got back to me.
- Sophia (7/5): Nice and comfortable - It was a very clean property and the location was perfect ! Very close to the station and shop It didn’t have any WiFi and the signal wasn’t great ! No form of air con or fans - it was very hot inside
- Jill (1/5): Bad - The booking was cancelled by the owner on the day off the booking after days of trying to contact them - no reply to any messages Having to find alternative accommodation
- Harriet (1/5): DOUBLE BOOKED US AND TURNED OFF THEIR PHONE - AWFUL - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Myself and 2 friends booked this apartment on the 25th June on Booking.com, for the 5th-7th of July, I had messaged them 3 days before the stay to confirm whether or not there was a sofa bed, as it was stated in the text, but we couldn't tell from the photos, we received no reply (text or email) in hindsight this should have been a red flag, but due to never having an issue with previous Booking.com bookings, we just assumed it would be fine.
After 4 hours of travelling, in torrential rain we got to the apartment at the time we provided for check-in, again rang the number provided multiple times and had no answer, after over an hour of being stood in the rain on the side of the road in Hackney, we realised somebody was in the apartment so decided to knock on the door, we could tell the apartment was the one we'd booked, but the lady who answered was staying in the apartment and had booked on AirBnB, so they'd double booked us.
The lady had a different number for the owners of the apartment, and thankfully passed this on to us, we rang them and they told us we didnt have a booking with them and to send over our details via WhatsApp, so we did.
Bearing in mind by this time we had a combined 4% charge, were absolutely soaked, and 3 young girls, unfamiliar with London and a long way from home.
We explained our situation, and provided proof of payment/booking, to which they then decided to turn off their phone, not offering a solution or alternative.
After waitng for almost 2 hours, they finally messaged us on whatsapp saying we would get a refund, but with no information on when or any empathy towards our situation.
Never have I ever experienced such poor service in my life.
So if you're looking to get an apartment in London, unless you like sitting on a pavement I'd avoid. AWFUL - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

- Anna (8/5): Nice flat for a short stay - The location was nice not far from the overground station. Also the decor was nice and quirky. Many essential things were missing for example bin, dish washing liquid or dish washing sponge, toilet brush. A salter and pepper would have been nice too. Having those things in the flat would have made the stay more comfortable. Also the flat were situated on the street so I couldn’t keep the curtain up so that people didn’t see in.
- Molly (7/5): Would stay again if these issues were sorted as it’s in a great spot :) - Great value for London, very central location, kitchen and washing machine setup was super handy! Modern and new facilities, comfy bed. No bin bags or detergent to keep the place clean but I’m sure that’s fixed now. Also no wifi when the listing said wifi, contacted the property with no response which was a shame as I had some work to do which required it
