Guest Reviews
- Mandy (10/5): Such a memorable stay! We wish it was longer! - Pickers Hut is a unique gem nestled in the picturesque Basket Ranges. The accomodation is brimming with character and charm. Is was great to see that the hut has been beautifully restored with a clear vision to also preserve its rich history. We had such a wonderful time sitting on the verandah listening to the birds and taking in the surrounding countryside. So good for the soul! Thank you for a memorable stay! Nothing- all great!
- Chris (9/5): Lovely peaceful and quaint cottage. - Lovely serene spot, we enjoyed our stay. The bathroom was lovely however the noisy and persistent drip of the shower rose was a bit annoying and wasteful.

- Jacqualine (9/5): Peaceful & just what we needed! No distractions - The scenery & location which felt like we had stepped back in time! The recommendation of The Cherry Bomb cafe in Ashton for breakfast was perfect. The beds were comfortable & loved that I could sleep with windows open Do not recommend the 'friendly ' grocers as the nearest supermarket. They were neither. Definitely buy groceries at Stirling or Bridgewater. Everywhere else we went was fantastic, just not there!

- Rachel (10/5): A place of peace and tranquility where we could connect with the bush and each other. - The hut has been beautifully renovated for comfort and style while retaining its gorgeous character. It is perfectly located for a peaceful bush retreat. Maybe the coffee cups could be bigger? Hard to find anything meaningful to suggest!
- Jessica (10/5): The perfect country getaway in the Adelaide Hills. - The Pickers Hut is the perfect getaway destination for anyone looking for a serene, quiet and peaceful stay. The location is stunning, nestled in the Adelaide Hills. The property has all the amenities you could ever want; underfloor heating in the bathroom was a nice touch, fire, comfy beds etc. We loved our stay here!
- Brianna (10/5): Magical! - It’s a hidden gem - a little piece of paradise to unwind and recharge. Beautiful scenery and nature all around. Loved the free standing bath and having the window open listening to the birds and breathing in the fresh air.

- Tobias (10/5): Peaceful, serene and rejuvenating - I booked this place to stay for a proposal to my now fiancée it is a Beautiful cozy place, neat and tidy, with incredible surroundings and view 10/10, along with how helpful and timely the host were with replying to request, definitely would recommend and definitely would stay again
- Jade (10/5): Beautiful place & space in the Adelaide Hills - The attention to detail in the space is amazing. The hut is absolutely beautiful & so homely. Such a gorgeous space to spend a few days with the vista, outside fire & surrounding fruit trees. Our dog absolutely loved it, as did we. Communication with hosts was detailed too, giving us all the information we needed for a relaxing stay. We look forward to coming back! 😊

- Jianshu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zoe (10/5): Fantastic place, country side views - Beautifully set up. Great views. Comfy beds. We stayed in summer. Loved the property but maybe some ceiling fans
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Bradley (10/5): Amazing quite little shack - Beautiful location
- Janette (9/5): Superb - Very rustic. A complete step away from stresses and bustle of everyday We were surprised by the lack of internet and TV. Maybe I missed this in the prior information
- Geraldine (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and simple All perfect
- Fred (10/5): Far from modern day craziness - Peaceful and quite Nothing
- Nadine (7/5): Good - We had a little trouble with getting the fire lit and staying burning
- Daniel (10/5): humble -
- Cori (7/5): Beautiful, cosy and romantic space, like stepping in to another little world. It could use a little more careful attenti - Beautifully presented, romantic setting, luxurious bathroom, cosy nooks for winter. Wonderful potential for walks, adventure and foraging with enough time and right conditions. I felt a bit disappointed with things not being checked - dusty floors around beds, electric blankets not working, kettle not working properly, high chair was dirty, only a drop of dish soap left, no tea bags.
For the price you pay, I think it’s important to feel like these things have been checked and that your experience is important as a guest, that the service is there.
Improvements also could include some lamps or candles for some ambient lighting in the evening, some bigger mugs for tea/coffee, a teapot, and a little more effort with provisions.
- Lindsay (9/5): enjoyed the scenery and quiet surroundings next to the fire. perfect... - the location was stunning. it was a quiet little retreat set in the hills of basket range. it was good to get away from all the hustle and bustle of work life and relax next to the outside fire pit.
there was plenty of firewood for inside and outside :) no fire poker for the inside fireplace.
- Jamie (7/5): Good -
- Sue (6/5): Pleasant - Location was nice, was good for getting some down time and going for walks. We didnt drive anywhere so relied on what there was around us to take in nature and the Autumn surroundings. No mention that the bathroom is only accessible from the outside, needs a few more 'personal touches' to justify the cost. BBQ was dirty and had to clean it ourselves before using it.
- Annie (8/5): We were very happy with the stay. - Location & beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was great also with the heated floor. Just two small improvements, there were no implements for the fire - pokers or tongs
Also, needed smaller pieces of wood as some of the larger pieces were difficult to fit in the fire. Very pleasant stay, thank you.
Annie.
- Deb (8/5): Pickers Hut - beautiful - Beautiful quaint country cottage overlooking the valley with the beautiful morning sun ☀️🌞
Handy to lots of places in Adelaide Hills. And the Manor - just need to drive Our bed was a little soft, and just needs another cooking item option (2nd frypan) as BBQ doesn't have a hotplate - just grill
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marco (8/5): A great experience! - Fabulous location, beautifullly restored cabin Comfortable seating for only 2 people…limited cooking facilities, bathroom looks great but water while showering gets everywhere…
- David (7/5): Good -
- Karen (8/5): Very good - Very peaceful
- Byungkuk (9/5): Great place for small family to relax and have happy time. - quiet and isolation for relax and rest no wifi, but it’s good to leave from internet.
