Guest Reviews
- Zoran (1/5): Very embarrassing experience - We got canceled 7 pm on the night of the stay for overbooking. Booking.com left us high and dry without rebooking different place for us and when we found place Booking.com doesn’t want to reimburse us for the difference in price. We are still going back and forth with them. I will not give up on this. Booking.com made us very embarrassed in front of 30 people on a birthday party because we didn’t have place to stay and everyone felt sorry for us. What an embarrassing situation to be in and kind of spoil party for everyone. Booking.com is huge international company and not talking care about its customers is very bad thing to do. One birthday party member had similar situation in Europe and it was taken care of immediately with another rebooking. In Canada they just told me they are sorry and sent email saying I can rebook at no extra cost and now they don’t want to cover the difference. I’m long term customer and I will go right to the top to get apologies from Booking.com and get my money back.
Sincerely
Zoran Zoric Didn’t get the chance to see the property due overbooking 🤬

- Stannam (3/5): Worse than a hostel, borderline illegal - there were no bed bugs I cannot bear the room, and I simply decided to escape this shithole at 4:30am. I couldn't sleep a wink. Yes, I learned the lesson.
4 rooms share one regular bathroom and kitchen, a configuration typical of a hostel. Notably, there is one shower and toilet for 4 to 8 people. I can only imagine what a morning here would be like.
Room A seems illegally separated from the house, with one electric wire coming into the room for all electricity. Therefore, there were no functional windows, no air circulation (i.e., I suspect there are moulds), and walls too thin to block all noises, including people talking, coughing, snoring, and plumbing. There seems to be a couple arguing about something. I could have joined their conversation through the wall—it was that thin.
The room was dusty. Fortunately, the bed sheets were clean and there were no bed bugs.
The keurig machine in the room was a pleasant surprise. I would have brought my capsules if the host had been clear about that. There was also a bar fridge in the room, but it seemed old and smelly.
Having this tiny room with no air circulation and the fridge means that the room gets stuffier and stuffier. Seriously, who in their sane mind thought that creating an airtight room and putting a running motor (fridge) in it AND on top of that, placing a chemical car air freshener? The heated-up odour gave me a headache.
I ended up almost throwing up and couldn't sleep a bit. I just decided not to cry over spilled milk and I've booked a day room. Hopefully I can get some sleep there.

- Margaret (5/5): Find a proper hotel !!! - Location was good if you need to be in Burnaby area
Room was clean No night lighting or pathway from driveway to front door. No lighting at front door at night. Poor instructions of parking location. People cooking in kitchen, whole house smelled of food. Misleading picture of washroom...it is shared not private. No mattress pad on bed. stained pillows. Microwave and tv did not work properly due to bad mishmash of wiring with overloaded extension cords. No handle on the door on my a keypad lock.Very awkward to open and shut door. House temperature was set to 50 F. Room was cold until I saw the thermostat on wall and turned it up. No in room instructions about facility use, house and rules. Jolted awake from noise and some one screaming from basement area below room at 11:30 pm. Literally fell out of the bed narrowly missed striking nightstand with my head.
