- Bhauna (5/5): Be aware of the stairs and driveway. - The view was great. The excessive stairs to get to the main door. The extremely steep driveway. Be aware of this when booking.
They really need to make this clear with images, so travellers with young children, elders or injured members can be informed.
There is no access to get wheelchairs, prams or walkers up to the house without physically carrying it.
The lack of accessibility to go places as the driveway limits you for short trips, especially when travelling with a 2 and 4 year old.
The property can be better cleaned and maintained. Ensuite toilet not functioning, so they decided to turn it off from the tap and not inform us. Light bulbs were out, had to request to have it changed, so the first night it was hard to see in the walk in wardrobe to enter the bathroom.
- Doris (5/5): Not very good - High view Outdoor sofa quite dirty, the drive way to sharp and cliffy, our car gets tucked and scratched underneath, and our 75 years old mum have to climbing up such the high sharp mountain to get into the room. And it is raining second day . It is pretty dangerous to walk to the drive way. The cleaning is not very well done coz there is a glass chip around the dining area and I was bear my foot and got hurt and bleeding, but thanks god it is not a very big chip. It is been a week and we still haven’t got our deposit back to my bank account ….
- Ivica (7/5): Good - The beautiful bay view The steep driveway and 32 stairs to claim before being able to get to the front door. Definitely not for older people
- Gary (7/5): Good -
- Dianne (8/5): Beautiful views and comfortable stay - The accommodation was big, spacious, and comfortable. The view was amazing and east facing so it was nice to have breakfast or a cup of coffee on the balcony in the morning. Nice short walk from the beach. Dogs on lead allowed so we took our dog for a walk on the beach.
The host sent helpful pre-arrival instructions ahead of time (make sure you read it thoroughly esp re alarm) as well as pre-departure instructions. We enjoyed our stay. Pre-departure instruction that all dishes wash and packed away. We’re tidy people and we always tidy up, place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on before we leave- but I find it excessive that we have to put them away as well…
Steep driveway so we didn’t want to risk driving our 8 seater car up. It was fine for us, but it was tough for my 15 yr old dog and my elderly parents who are in their late 60s.
- Lauren (10/5): Super comfortable house with excellent views - Amazing views with multiple comfortable living areas. Comfy beds, well equipped house.
- Kevin (9/5): Great stay, really enjoyed the location - The location was excellent, the views from balcony are amazing, saw a daily dolphin and a koala so what more can you ask for Lovely house, the only slight negative is that attentive to detail with overall cleaning, this didn’t distract from stay as it’s such a lovely place
- Kath (5/5): Lovely location & beautiful annual catchup with my sisters. - No breakfast provided Clean the property more thoroughly.. it was grubby.
l have e mailed Port Stephens with my concerns. They didn't seem very concerned but gave a pretty generic reply.
- Jin (6/5): We enjoyed our stay - Beautiful views The driveway really steep
- Carol (9/5): Superb -
- Saif (10/5): Exceptional - Breathtaking view , comfortable beds . All amenities available .
- Emma (7/5): Good -
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (7/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay - The property was lovely and bright with a lovely view from up high An incredibly steep driveway and then stairs made it very hard for me to walk to the beach as I have recently recovered from a broken leg.
