- Stella (6/5): Fair stay which could have been much better - I liked the living room space and how bright the apartment was. The location was close to the centre but inside red light district and felt a bit unsafe. The bathroom layout was super awkward, no door between the shower and the bedroom, 2 doors leading to the toilet. The bed and pillows were not comfortable and we could see a lot of dead mosquitoes on the walls of the bedroom. The temperature didn’t feel warm enough and the check out instructions are ridiculous, we were asked to remove the beddings, take all trash out, water the plans… we didnt feel like paid guests with so many requests

- Ollie Mayo (6/5): A bit disappointed. - Location was good A half roll of toilet paper for 2 people for a two day stay, water escaping from the shower tray into the bathroom, clothes left in one of the rooms.
- Daniel (9/5): Perfect place to stay - The whole apartment is really beautiful. It has everything you need for a few days trip or for more days. Spacious, great location (10 minutes walk from the main city center and 5 minutes from trams). It includes more than free toiletries. Everything was clean and ready for you. Great heating because the nights can be cold. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet even during late hours. The building has an elevator. It includes also a small terrace just for you in case you want to hang the laundry or anything. I do not know why but there were a lot of mosquitos. I saw even some devices against them to be plugged into a socket. But maybe others will be luckier than me.

- Jenny (8/5): Good apartment - Spacious apartment, great bed and pillows. Location ok Elevator is tiny and was sensitive to weight ( suitcases and people ) . The key lock is next to street number 131
- Te-Han (3/5): -
- Hugh (9/5): Comfortable modern apartment in a convenient location. - A spacious, clean, comfortable and modern apartment.
Lift (elevator) access.
Washing machine.
Quiet location but an easy walk into the town centre.
Well stocked kitchen. To get to the town centre you needed to walk past the brothels - not sure how that would be late at night.
No air conditioning, fan provided in living area (but because it was quiet, windows could be opened).
No hubo nada
- Jaap Willem (8/5): -
- David (10/5): - Well equipped and comfortable. Close to town
- Monique (9/5): A recommander - Logement très fonctionnel, confortable, bien placé Petit problème de prise au niveau du plan de travail dans le coin cuisine ? A vérifier....
- Philippa (7/5): - Spacious, good facilities Broken toilet seat, key box was stuck, lift got stuck.

- Aron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (7/5): A nice modern, well supplied and equipped apartment close to the centre of Ghent. - The apartment interior is very good, spacious, modern, well supplied and equipped. It is not too far from the tourist heart of Ghent, about a 15 minute walk. Loud traffic noise from the street affects the living area and kitchen, but fortunately not the bedroom at night as it is at the rear of the apartment.
The apartment became quite hot because the sun pours into the kitchen and living area in the afternoons and summer evenings and really heats the place up a lot. This is the "sunny" feature as advertised, but we found the heat uncomfortable. I can understand them not having A/C but a fan would have been appreciated.
- Neil (7/5): Good - The apartment was well equipped with good kitchen appliances, as well as a washing machine. Unfortunately it is near an area of window prostitutes which we were unaware of. Additionally there is no a/c or even a fan so one must keep the windows open for any sort of cooling in the warmer weather such as June, 2025. Lots of midges and mosquitoes this way. As we were departing the hydro went out and we were unable to use the elevator. So, down 2 flights of circular staircase with our luggage. Not quite so easy for seniors! Lots of construction in the building starting at 7.30 am. without notice. Exterior sidewalk torn up which was a bit difficult to manoeuvre around .Rather disappointed. As above. We have travelled a fair bit and we believe that with a few changes this could be quite a good spot to stay. Definitely a fan .. a bit unsafe having to sleep with all the windows open.
- Eric (9/5): Great spot, nice rooms, Great hosts. - Washer/Dryer was a bonus. Handy to many tourist spots, food options, public transport etc Nice touch with bottle of wine & chips in room. Plenty of tea and coffee options. The cooling system struggled. It wasn't a hot day when we arrived but the room was 26 degrees. Despite turning the cooling down low it took two days to get it down to 22.5degrees. Too hot for sleeping. Need to leave the windows open before guests arrive. No other problems.
- Helene (8/5): Very good -
- Shona (8/5): Excellent property enjoyed our stay in Gent - Great location very clean and bright Lot of building noise closeby
- Ego (9/5): Superb - Really nice place
- Delaine (8/5): Sunny apartment - It was indeed sunny. We enjoyed our stay. It was perfectly fine and did the job! The layout is strange. I think it just must have previously been a doctors office or something. No door on the shower room.
- Carla (9/5): Very pleasant little apartment, everything you need. Nice to have washer dryer after travels! - Roomy, clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed. It was a bit further than I thought
- Viviana (7/5): Good - Large apartment with everything you need in the kitchen. Nice position. Close to bus stops. The address indicated is at number 139, but on the building wall there is the number 131.
Host sent a long list of rules and duties that that makes you feel to be a housekeeper not a paying guest.
The bed was not made, no linen, but several stranger’s hairs on the mattress. Looked around to find clean linen and towels.
In a corner big amount of dirty linen and towels used by other guests.
- Nida (10/5): Clean apartement in Ghent - So clean and cosy. You can find anything you need in the kitchen equipment. Nothing
- Tomas (9/5): Good value for price - Host was excellent All good
- Mark (10/5): Comfortable and Central - Lovely big apartment probably one of our best so far. Noor was a great host responded quickly to our queries. The chocolate on the bed and the complimentary water was a really nice touch. Lots of extras in the kitchen if you required them. Nice and central Nothing
- Isabel (8/5): Very good - The flat was very spacious and had a comfortable sofa, the kitchen had plenty of crockery, cutlery and pans and it was all very clean. It was nice to have cleaning products. It was very kind of our host, Noor, that we were allowed to stay one extra hour on our leaving day. 12 minutes walking to the cathedral area. Nice little market 10m away. No door in the bathroom. The lift and stairs were not clean. The flat was just next to the red-light district, so not very happy to come back at night and had to go round the area. I found quite ridiculous all those instructions to leave the flat( remove bed linen, empty the fridge, put everything in the laundry basket and the rubbish)
- Matt (6/5): A spacious well-equipped property in a good location - but not without some reservations - The apartment was in a good location, a short walk from the main attractions in the city. It was quiet in the evening even though it was next to a main road.
It was spacious, clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, and it was helpful for there to be some oil, salt and pepper, teabags, etc. and toiletries for guests to use. We got off to a bad start as the door to the apartment block wouldn't open for us even though we were using the correct key from the key safe. We didn't get any response when we messaged and phoned the host in order to get access to the property, and no one in other apartments was in to answer the buzzer. As a result we had to quickly find a left luggage facility so we could do the walking tour we were booked in to do. We were also concerned we might not be able to access the apartment at all and then would have to find last minute accommodation somewhere else for that evening. Someone, not the host, did get back to our messages 3 hours later to let us know it was a known issue and that, once opened by someone from inside, the problem should be resolved. When we returned to the apartment later in the day we were able to get in straight away, and didn't have any issues with the door after that. However it was always a concern whenever we came back to the apartment, and did mean we spent much of our first day in Ghent traipsing backwards and forwards with our luggage. This poor communication was disappointing.
A couple of things for others to be aware of:
1) when we first arrived we found that one of the streets near to the apartment, Belgradostraat, is part of the city's red-light district. It was easy to avoid going down that street for the rest of our stay, and we never felt unsafe at any point. There were some excellent cafes on an adjoining street which we did go to and never had any issue. Not something that should put anyone off going to the apartment, but helpful to know.
2) we hadn't realised that the host does use the property themselves when not let out, and therefore it contains a lot of their personal items. This did make it feel a bit less comfortable than a property that is solely used as a professional holiday-let. Again, not a problem, but may be helpful to be aware of this before booking the accommodation.
- Jamie (9/5): Very comfortable apartment with a great location in Gent. - The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The bed was good, and the location very convenient. It was even very quiet at night, which we weren't necessarily expecting due to the street. Thanks very much for a great stay. No issues at all.
- John (8/5): A good place to stay for a few nights in Ghent. - The space and the appliances supplies. The personal items and lack of apartment number made it a bit uncomfortable. We weren’t sure if we were in the right spot and felt like we were staying in someone else’s place. The locks were also hard to work. The bed and bedding were uncomfortable.
- Linda (10/5): Spacious well stocked apartment in walking distance - Spacious and well stocked with everything for a comfortable stay in walking distance to all Gent’s attractions. The host has thought of all the little things providing the basic pantry items, first aid and Toiletries. Easy check in. Not a don’t like, just an alert. Keep clear of the security zone inside the lift. When we arrived with all our bags we triggered this until cleared. Our host responded immediately to our cry for help and had is out of this stressful spot in minutes.
- James (10/5): A wonderful, stylish and cosy place to explore the beautiful city of Ghent - This apartment was a lovely place to stay in Ghent for a long weekend. It is very well stocked, very stylish and it has so much character. The location is excellent and we could easily have spent more days here! By far the best place we stayed during our tour of the Netherlands and Belgium
- Magnificat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (9/5): Lovely apartment close to the historical center - We stayed at the apartment for a weekend. It is 10 min walk to the historical center and also easy to get there by tram or bus. Supermarkets, coffeeshops and other necessities are a short walk away (don`t miss the lovely Lousbergmarket). The apartment has everything you need and more - it feels like an actual home, not like a holiday place. Well equipped kitchen, very nice walk-in shower. Everything was very clean. Getting into the apartment was very easy, the keys were in a keybox accessible by code. The front room faces a rather busy street - the bedroom is in the back and quiet, so that was fine. Be aware that there is an elevator but it is quite small, if you are more than 2 people or have a lot of luggage you will have to take turns. The stairs are narrow and steep.
- Zoran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benedetta (9/5): Superb -
- Coen (9/5): Superb -
- Azra (2/5): extremly rude bullying owners - Location is close to the city centre, trams, and train station.
The city is nice, doable in 1 - 2 days.
Spacious flat. Quite bedroom, compared to living room.
It would have been perfect except for a few things: 1) You are expected to keep noise to a minimum, otherwise, you will be kicked out if the neighbours complain. They send this notice via email right after booking the place. But you have to deal with a kid who is always jumping on top of the unit and other neighbours slamming their doors.
2) Heating is inadequate. They have put a limit on the radiators and the unit felt cold. The water heating was also inconsistent.
3) Dusty sheets and uncomfortable mattresses.
4) Broken dishwasher and the coffee machine needs to be cleaned. It took effort just to make it work.
5) Someone from their side had the audacity to email us that we took the liberty of emptying the food drawers despite another person telling us to take whatever we need. We stayed for 5 days, so, it should be expected that some of the food will be finished. Also, it's unhygienic to leave opened food like jam expecting the next guests to consume it except for pasta that can be cooked or coffee pads.
6) Washing machine was full of lint, fabrics, and hair. We needed to clean it before using it.
7) Also, this is what we got as a last reply: Thank you for your feedback! We will look into your complaints in order to continue to provide the service Booking awarded us 9/10 for. Hope you got a safe trip back to your garage! Matthias
No compensation or offer for all those inconveniences, instead, we got accused of consuming much of the food despite being told to help ourselves. It was not an overnight stay, just to point that out again.
- Nicolás (10/5): Great - Wifi was really good. We also found essentials for cooking already there (coffee, oil, salt & pepper) also for the bathroom (Various shampoos, gel, shaving kit, tampons…) The house was really good equipped The only thing was that the elevator was a bit old and without a door (Maybe it’s the standard in Belgium?)
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sangeeta (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Apartment is very comfortable and spacious. Highly recommended.
- Sefer (10/5): Exceptional - Everything really wonderful! It was once in a lifetime experience for me. Really really really home. Can't complain anything!
