Guest Reviews
- Brett (10/5): - I love how cute and small the house was, and that the owners' welcome pets! We all had a fabulous special time for my friends Birthday.
- Nadine (8/5): -
- Graham (3/5): No frills, Shabby without the chic. - Quiet, residential area. The veranda was nice with a sea view in the distance. I don’t like to leave negative reviews but we did not enjoy our stay here. It was correctly named a shack but it was shabby without any chic. The fixtures and fittings all very DIY and not well finished. The sheets on the bed had seen better days and pillows very flat and soft.
If you just need a bed for a few nights it’s fine but definitely not worth the price we paid. Needs a refit.
- Ruth (10/5): -
- Nguyen (10/5): - Cute little place close to the beaches and shops
- Miles (7/5): Enjoyable 2 days with lots of wildlife around us - Kitchen, shower room and wildlife Sofa and needs more outside seats
- Daniel (10/5): Beautiful beach weekend - Great location, well maintained property with supplies and facilities.
- Jean Louis D (8/5): - Emplacement terrasse avec BBQ extérieur Très rustique équipement hétéroclite niveau de confort moyen
- Jeremy (6/5): - Location and quietness of the neighbourhood
- Mark (7/5): If you just need a bed for one or two nights, the beds are comfortable enough. - Good location despite the fact it’s not really by the bay. Hosts are cordial and prompt. Comfortable bed. Poky kitchen, no bench space. No wardrobes to hang clothes. Curtains hung crooked. I was expecting fairly basic but it all feels a bit unfinished.
Wi-Fi next to useless.
- Thi (7/5): - Great location
- Bibhu (10/5): -
- jonas (9/5): - La maison,l'emplacement, les équipements, la décoration Ménage
- Diego (7/5): -
- Margo (8/5): - Location. Close to Huskisson and Hyams . Shops close by.
Quiet. Simple and comfortable as described. All good
- Mel (9/5): Amazing location and sea views! - Amazing location, great walks to all the beaches, loved sitting out on the balcony with glimpses of a sea view! Some black hairs around the place and in the beds
- Veenita (5/5): -
- Miriam (8/5): Cute and cosy beach house - Loved the location and the homey rustic coast house vibe. The balcony in the morning sun was lovely. Kids enjoyed the swing, pool table and piano in the back shed. Location was super easy to walk down to nearby beaches or take the walkway towards Huskisson. Could've had some thicker curtains as they didn't block much morning sunlight at all for the kids and linen felt a bit threadbare in the second bedroom. Kitchen was pretty good but missing a few key items like a pasta strainer.
- O'Dwyer (7/5): -
- Vicki (5/5): Far too rough around the edges. Very cold. Heater not working. - Accommodation was clean.
Sitting on the front verandah in the morning sunshine was lovely. Much further from shoreline & town than expected.
- Darran (9/5): Awesome , clean and everything you need. Location was close to everything you needed - Location , clean and everything we needed Nothing about the property we could fault , was great and definitely will be back
- Sharon (10/5): 2 day getaway to see family. - The house was very clean and the bed very comfortable.
The water view was nice to see from the back balcony.
Off street parking.
Close to all amenities.
The resident kangaroo (big big grey).fellow came in for a visit.
I also liked the fact that it was very pet friendly and safe.. I couldn't get the heat to work from the air-conditioning .
I'm not sure if it was me or the unit.
- Shane (8/5): -
- Andrea (1/5): Not worth the money that we paid for our 2 night stay - The host when contacted was very fast to respond This old little shack needs a lot of TLC. The lounge needs a good steam clean as it has stains all over it. The beds aren’t very comfortable they are very hard. The curtains in the bedrooms do nothing at night it’s so light maybe some blockout curtains would be great. There is no wardrobes in either room
- Claudia (10/5): Peaceful - Very comfortable even in cold wet weather. Optional lights , extra plugs, pillows, blankets, shampoo condition instant coffee and tea , a little milk carton. Oil, salt pepper sugar. Could stream from iPhone . 400m to water I wanted my perfect cereal and two minute noodle bowl, a bit deeper than the pasta plates provide. I was so happy with the propert it did not matter.
- Theo (9/5): Fantastic location - - amazing location
- great value
- great that it has the bbq - the kitchen is missing a few utensils but you can get by
- Melissa (7/5): Weekend getaway - Quiet location, short walk to beach access, ability to self cater and comfy bed ticked all our boxes. Lookout for neighbourhood Kangaroo/buck and bunnies (in backyard from balcony).
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Taylor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lawrence (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (7/5): Good -
- Tracey (10/5): This property was perfect for our weekend away, it had everything that we needed to be comfortable and relaxed. It was v - The property was quaint, and had all that we needed for our weekend break.
- Leesa (7/5): Good -
- Andriy (9/5): Good house for small vocation. - Location is awesome. Wifi is not the best.
- Pamela (8/5): Would love to come back! - Had a relaxing stay, quiet location, listened to the birds while sitting on the verandah and glimpsing water views. Strolled to the local beach for a read. Took the longer White Sands walk to pristine beaches for a swim. Saw bandicoots and stars galore. Drove to Husky for shops and kayaking and snorkelling and coffee. Walked to local shops via beach path. Jumped off Moona Moona Ck bridge and floated in clear waters. Saw dolphins and kangaroos in the National Park nearby. Returned home for bbq dinner and bath and a good night's sleep. BYO large saucepan, good knives, and bbq tools.
- Vanessa (9/5): Fabulous location and good place to stay with all the basics needed. Great hosts who made us feel welcome and checked in - Location close to the beach. No pantry space in kitchen.
- Fuen (8/5): Great little plce for a beach escape. - Property was pretty good and comfy. It was also clean to be pet friendly and close to the beach.
Beds and couch were very comfy. Kitchen utensils needs improvement, pans and knives are bad unfortunately.
It needs a bigger dinning table for four adults.
- Isabella (1/5): Bad - The Accomodation was not clean. We lost our appetite in the kitchen. The fridge and dishes were very dirty. Especially the refrigerator - it urgently needs to be cleaned again. We actually wanted to cook, but it's impossible to eat in this accommodation, it's so dirty, you don't want to eat there. Even the kettle to boil water for coffee is not usable, dirty and sticky. The sofa wasn't usable either, it was so dirty that you had the feeling of getting fleas, lice or something else. There are no hooks or a wardrobe to hang clothes anywhere. Everything is completely run down and it obviously hasn't been cleaned for a long time. We don't need luxury accommodation, but it MUST be clean and comfortable.
We did some cleaning and had to stay for 2 nights. We have eaten in the local restaurants instead the accomodation.
We are very disappointed and what's more, the price is higher than other, much better and cleaner accommodations. NEVER AGAIN!!!
- Anonymous (9/5): Clean, facilities gre at - Very comfortable
- Talya (7/5): We enjoyed our stay at the little blue shack. It was comfy and a good location. - Cute little property and comfortable Poor curtain let’s all the light in
And bedrooms at least need a fan
- Yolande (8/5): What a weekender! - Great little place! Felt very comfortable and would happily stay again, out of the hubbub that is Huskisson. I'd happily stay there again and again. Nothing!
- Sharlene (9/5): Clean, comfortable, nice home away from home. Handy to many areas. - We enjoyed the space and how the place felt like a home away from home. Comfortable and clean. Handy location, easy drive to huskisson, and hyams beach. Good local shops. More secure lock on front door such as chain lock. Somewhere to hang up clothing. Could do with new toilet roll holder on wall, and some better quality pillows. These only nit picky things, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
- Cristine (10/5): Exceptional - Great size rooms. Lovely covered verandah. Easy walk to beach and shops. Comfy furnishings
- Beverly (8/5): Relaxing and quiet location with a view -
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clayton (7/5): Got exactly what we expected and happy, would stay again. - No frills getaway, good location and was comfortable Tv needs sorting out to view easily
- Alison (8/5): Vincentia Beach house - The bed was very comfortable (which is unusual) and so too was the couch. I liked the view (which included a sea view) and the convenient location. I particularly liked that I could bring my dog (at no extra cost). The balcony was nice and pleasant also. The reverse cycle air conditioner was very effective and quiet. The price for this location was good value. I had difficulty using the remote for the TV, and decided to use the control panel on the side of the TV.
There was a large male kangaroo which in the early morning hours seemed to reside in the backyard of this house and the neighbor's, my dog liked this but I wasn't so keen on it.
- Charlene (9/5): Great weekend and the dog loved it as well - Was neat and tidy , great mattress There was no outdoor light
- Alison (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for having us. - Location was great. Place is basic but just what you need for a beach holiday house. Internet it awful. It would be very helpful to have a tv manual for the system.
Also the place needed a good sweep under and behind things.
- Yen (8/5): Great stay and close to beaches which made our doggos very happy! - Very comfortable setup and well equipped with necessities for a great stay. Thank you for welcoming us and our 2 small dogs!
- Linda (7/5): More pluses than minuses. I would stay there again is the bedside tables weren’t smelly. - The decor was lovely; the large windows let in lots of light and had lovely views; it looked small on the outside but felt very spacious inside; it was well supplied with crockery, glasswear, basics, etc; the tub, TV, stove, fridge, BBQ, and balcony were a good size; the beds were comfortable; Some things didn’t work (light outside front door and TV remotes-wasn’t the batteries) and some things worked inadequately (patchy internet and patchy hot water to kitchen). The bedside tables in the master smelled of mildew (a game changer for me). Knives could be sharper, veggie peeler should be replaced, and the nonstick finish on the large pot was damaged. A motion sensor light outside front door would be helpful.
- James (8/5): A relaxing quiet stay with kitchen/BBQ facilities without the bells and whistles - Basic accommodation without the luxuries. It's a shack not a house, so expect a bits and pieces accomodation experience. Good place to stay for 2-4 people to make your own meals, BBQ, wash up and sleep and enjoy the local beaches that are a short drive or walk away. Great location and quiet street. BBQ was great 👍 We're laid back about most things and we enjoyed our stay, but some suggestions for future guest.experience. More attention to detail needed... One of the inside seats is broken almost causing me to fall off the chair. Had to use the toaster in the living room floor as the only kitchen outlet is too far from the bench. Perhaps it needs an extension cord. The tv remotes didn't seem to work, flat batteries? Has a pool table featured as a property feature but all the cue tips broken or worn away. Bed linens could be improved to be more in line with what is expected in typical accommodations, it felt a bit like sleeping in someone elses bed. Spider webs over exterior should be cleaned up to improve the look and feel of the property. Fridge looks like someone took a baseball bat to it. Some minor touches could really elevate the property.
- Stefanie (7/5): Good -
- Chillin (8/5): Simple stay, ok - Simple accommodation that's good for a few nights but on the pricey side given the simplicity. BBQ was great but there was no BBQ utensils. No BBQ utensils. Bathroom door is not fixed at the bottom so door goes up and down with wind.
BBQ's gas was finished so we had to change, heating gas was also used up and disconnected and there wasn't an extra gas tank to replace that. Might have been just unlucky, but it feels like lack of care to leave both gas tanks almost empty to new people.
