Guest Reviews
- Anne (10/5): Relaxing and interesting - Just a devine little cottage that’s really roomy, comfortable bed, central to walk to cafes , beach and boutique shops and 2 great supermarkets with stacks of vegetables one organic, up the road. We loved the courtyard for breakfast and nibbles. Communication was excellent. Shower is great but tiny but that’s what happens in caracter buildings. Nothing

- David (9/5): Perfect place for a Fremantle / South Beach short stay. - The location was excellent. Very handy to restaurants, pubs, take-away food outlets. coffee shops and a bakery. 20-minute walk to Woolworths, Aldi and Dan Murphy's etc. and only a 10-minute walk to South Beach. Very close to bus stops to get you in and out of Fremantle (7 stops). We travelled all the way from the airport on public transport for just $3.50 each.
The little house is perfect for singles or couples. The bedroom, kitchen/dining room and TV room were comfortable with everything one needs. There's an outside courtyard as well. The place was very clean too. The shower is small and situated very close to the toilet which makes it a little awkward to get in and out of.
- Gregory (10/5): Perfect property in a perfect location. - Very clean and very comfy bed. Spacious with a separate bedroom, lounge and kitchen as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer. All equipment and sundries e.g. washing up liquid, shampoo, kitchen roll etc were all provided. Perfect location for both South Beach (5 mins walk) and also Fremantle (15 mins walk) and supermarkets (10 mins). Shower could have had more power and it was difficult to regulate the temperature.
- Tania (7/5): - Fantastic location. Clean and tidy. Very good facilities in the kitchen and bathroom. The shower was very very small and the bed was very uncomfortable. Need to invest in a thicker better quality mattress. Both my husband and I had restless sleeps and a very sore, stiff back after sleeping on that mattress.
- Jeni (10/5): Beautiful and cosy accommodation in a perfect location to enjoy all that Fremantle has to offer. - Fantastic location, very clean and cosy, charming and well equipped.
- VICKI (9/5): - Great location, short walk to beach, cafes and restaurants. Great host, very responsive.
- Catharine (10/5): Spacious and comfortable stay in South Beach close to great beaches, coffee shops and restaurants - Perfect location one block from South Beach and the dog beach, one block from Wild Bakery for the best takeaway breakfasts and lots of restaurants. Easy to access. Great facilities inside, with super comfy bed, nice kitchen with all mod cons, washing machine and dryer plus little yard for natural drying. Loved the shampoo, conditioner and shower wash. Teabags, coffee machine and two milks in fridge was a lovely touch. Clear instructions and communication throughout.
- Rosalind (7/5): A very pleasant stay that suited our needs after three weeks of camping around the south west region of WA.. - Excellent location. The water in the shower could not be maintained at an even temperature.
- Rosalinde (10/5): -
- Justina (9/5): Amazing stay in Fremantle. Would definitely come back to Rosa’s Place. - Great location, clean and comfortable.
- Toni (9/5): Lovely relaxing short escape, close to cafes, restaurants, pubs and the beach. - Perfect sized place, spacious, clean and walkable to lovely cafes and beach in South Fremantle.
Loved having a coffee pod machine and plenty of room to move around. Just 1 small issue for us was the pillows. One was too large and too firm and the other too soft, but that is just our personal preference. But otherwise nothing else that we didn't like.
- Diana (9/5): Really enjoyed the stay at this place. - Excellent location
- Lisa (8/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): We would recommend to friends and we will return for another stay. - Very comfortable well maintained property in an awesome location. Clear and responsive communication.
- Georgina (10/5): - Excellent location, great facilities - loved it.
- Megan (9/5): Perfect location and cute private house - Location privacy layout We had to fix the bed as main support beam not attached to bed head. Felt like bed was going to break every time we turned over in bed. Last day had enough of disrupted sleep and realised the issue. Owners need to tighten and ensure assembled correctly before next booking.
- Emer (9/5): Superb -
- Francesca (8/5): Very good -
- Joanne (6/5): Needs a key bathroom pipe/ drain smell to be addressed to make the stay worthwhile - Location in South Fremantle and walking distance to the beach, bakery, cafes and restaurants. Easy drive to wharf to catch ferry from Fremantle to Rottnest Island. I was there early March and unpleasant smell hit me as I walked in which seems to be coming from the bathroom and likely the toilet pipes. This hovered and impacted the evening experience of the lounge space, despite using the aircon. It would come and go and needs to be functionally addressed as soon as possible.
Large round entrance rug is too big and gets caught in the front door as it’s opened so made the door not open smoothly on arrival.
- Alexander (9/5): Superb -
- Jasmine (8/5): Very good -
- James (9/5): Great experience close to cafes - It was private and clean . Very comfortable . Great internet. Great cafes close. Beach also close A/c struggled to keep us cool .
- Elisabeth (8/5): We will come and stay again! - Great spot, close to the beach Parking was a bit hit and miss at the weekend.
- Derek (8/5): Very good - Location was great Bathroom was a challenge way to small
- Tanya (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (9/5): Great location in the heart of South Freo! -
- Genevieve (10/5): Exceptional - Great spot for exploring Fremantle. Lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. Very comfortable and clean. It is an older building so the laundry/bathroom/toilet is in one room. It was a bit squishy, but grateful for the laundry facilities which we used.
- Lisa (10/5): Historic beautiful propery in middle of South Fremantle amenities - It was a beautiful historic traditional house near South beach The bathroom was a bit chilly but I don’t think the owner could do much about this. I visited in July and I assume the window & ventilation set up works well for the vast majority of the year when it is much warmer.
- Janelle (8/5): Great South Freo stay - loved the location, very close to numerous restaurants, cafes, and just a short walk from the beach. The house, an old Freo style, was quite cold during winter. While the reverse cycle air conditioner warmed up the kitchen, the lounge room and bedroom remained cold. Single-glass windows didn't keep out much cold air, but the warm duvet and portable heater helped a lot. The curtains didn't block out much sunlight in the mornings, so blackout curtains would have been a great addition to keep both cold air and sunlight out.
- Debra (9/5): Fantastic Freo - Location was perfect.
The house was clean and bright and had everything we needed. Bedroom is right next to the footpath. So not ideal if you are a light sleeper.
- Anne (10/5): A great place to stay and enjoy the beautiful surrounds. - Location.
- Linda (10/5): I’m very happy with my choice of holiday accommodation, and would recommend to other travellers. - Clean, comfortable and convenient. No issues with any of it.
- Samantha (9/5): Superb - Perfect location in proximity to local bakery, cafes, bars, restaurants etc. 5 minute walk to south beach
- John (9/5): A very cosy & relaxing cottage , quieter than the address might suggest. - Excellent location for our purposes with easy access to cafes & beaches. Interior a bit dark and courtyard garden needed some TLC.
- Jane (10/5): Brilliant - thanks- close to the beach & lots of great places to eat out - Quaint& comfortable- brilliant location Bathroom was a bit small
- Amanda (9/5): Great location and comfy accommodation - It was a great location, and the accommodation was very comfortable and offered everything we needed There wasn't anything we didn't like. The accommodation offered everything we needed
- Helen (8/5): Great location close to beaut bakeries and shops and had appeal with its charm. - Yes, the welcome sign was Lovely. The coffee and tea and Biscuits were appreciated and added to the homely feel of the place. It would have been difficult to park my car there though if I had one. Great location and it all went smoothly apart from I felt so cold in bed even using spare blankets. I felt very cold. The high ceilings made it remain chilly, I guess.
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional - The location and cottage were perfect. The cottage provided everything you would need for a few day's stay. Lovely place with a small courtyard to enjoy after a busy day. There was nothing that we didn't like.
- Linda-gail (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (8/5): Great relaxing accommodation. Close to everything - just a stroll away. - Great location. So close to everything. Perhaps an electric blanket on bed. The first couple of nights were very cold.
