Guest Reviews
- Suz (8/5): Forest Serenity - View was amazing. Bed so comfortable. Kitchen stunning. Fireplace fabulous. Outside table needs to be replaced (rusted).
- Jenine (9/5): Lovely relaxing stay - Really enjoyed our stay. Quiet peaceful location not far from town. Had all we needed. Didnt need to watch tv as the view was great. Watched kangaroos while having breakfast. Loved the outdoor lights. Very relaxing stay
- Daniel (10/5): Beautiful and absolutely wonderful. Words won't do justice - Loved the whole lot! Matt and Tania were extremely welcoming and understanding of our mishap
- Bettina (10/5): this is the perfect home away from home - everything. we expected much and got even more. the location is amazing. super quiet with kangaroos in front of the window, still close to shops, restaurants and attractions. the bed is comfortable and there is everything you can think of in the kitchen.

- Marcus (10/5): Beautiful, comfortable and very peaceful. Thank you for making our weekend great. - Very cosy, everything we could need or want was there. It was all great
- Mary-Anne (8/5): - We were comfortable and warm at Zen Den in cold, blustery weather. We loved the modern decor, with a lot of attention to detail and especially the slow combustion fire. The views are lovely. The TV was very difficult to use. You cannot assume everyone knows how to ‘hot spot’ to use a TV. The location was a challenge - especially in the wet and windy conditions. We did not realise how far out of Walpole it was. We made the mistake of going to the pub in town for dinner on the first night and when we returned there was a tree over the road and we could not access the road to Zen Den. After a lot of driving around in the dark and rain we concluded it was safe to stay in a motel in town. This was no-one’s fault but put a ‘dampener’ on our stay!

- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (9/5): Lovely stay - Great location , well appointed little house. The views were amazing, visiting kangaroos in the morning. Kitchen well thought out. All in all , perfect little place. The TV did not work for us. It would be nice to sit and watch a good movie after dinner. Maybe an antenna could be installed on the roof, I think the owners should address that.
- Julian (9/5): Superb -
- Jeanette (9/5): Quiet, relaxing but still close to town - Fantastic; everything you need for a self-contained wilderness break. Stunning property and facilities - and hillside views. Great base for hikes / beach.
- Wayne (10/5): The perfect setting to reset and explore the natural surroundings and relax - Location was ideal, views were spectacular and the natural surroundings were fantastic. The tranquility made work stress melt away. The perfect setting to explore the local natural won Nothing, the perfect setting.
- Elisa (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic little secluded place, that has been fitted out with everything you could possibly think of.
Breakfast with roos and fairy wrens was a bonus.
Such a delight!
- Narelle (10/5): Pure bliss - Beautiful setting, lots of wildlife kangaroos, emus and birds. Peaceful and so quiet.. was pure bliss!
The space was very well thought out with attention to detail. Finally a coffee maker with coffee pods included! Tastefully decorated space, clean and comfortable.
- Eion (10/5): A great - Lovely, modern detached studio set on hill to capture stunning views. Very tranquil location and feel; was easy to switch off, relax and enjoy local sights.
Exceptionally well stocked with cooking gadgets and utensils. Clean and well maintained. The pot belly heater is lovely; when door was opened, it released more smoke into the room than others I’ve used. Set off smoke alarm a few times. Is flue clear?
- Shannyra (8/5): Very good -
- Henk (9/5): Excellent stay; highly recommended. - The Zen Den is exceptionally fitted out with a great eye for detail. Almost everything you could possibly need, they have thought of, from a very well appointed kitchen to shopping nets, to laundry needs.
Very comfortable bed.
Great fire place.
Very nice kitchen.
Beautiful view over pastoral lands with kangaroos visiting in the morning. The one rather big let down was the absence of WiFi and television connectivity. There is a big television but only with a HDMI cord, to use with your own device.
The place is not that remote, either other homes around it, so a WiFi connection should not be a problem.. it’s 2024…
