Guest Reviews
- Paula (8/5): - Clean great position The back step needs to be fixed and add a hand rail
- Meika (7/5): -
- David (8/5): - Great location within easy walking distance of town.
Warm, cosy & homely cottage. Thoughtful layout with great bathroom and kitchen. The bedding needs updating.
- Cate (4/5): Disappointing. This house should not be rented out at its current price point. - Cottage was relatively clean This property needs updating - garden is seriously overgrown (think snakes). Beds were uncomfortable & bedding was old & shabby - definitely not what was in the photos. Shower floor had some sort of green mould in the grout. Cottage is on a very busy road, we were woken every morning at around 5.30am by cars speeding past. Hedges to driveway need trimming so wider cars can enter without getting scratched. I could go on. It is obvious this house is poorly maintained.
- Kevin (10/5): Great place to stay in Foster - Beautiful cottage on the edge of Foster. Well equipped and lovely home from home feel makes this a great place to stay.
- Mel (9/5): So comfy, and very homely feel. Would definitely stay again - Location was perfect for what we needed it for. The kids loved exploring, and chatting to the neighbouring animals. Such a comfy house. The bushes at the side of the driveway, although lovely, could be cut back a little more. If I had our normal family car, we wouldn’t have been able to park in the drive. Literally our only minor complaint.
- Stoe (9/5): 3 nights in Foster - Beautiful garden full of flowers and lorikeets.
Very quiet.
Well stocked and clean kitchen.
Good location to visit Wilsons Prom. Could improve on the cleanliness, especially in the bedrooms and living room.
The towels and bed linen were old and didn't seem fresh.
Only one AC unit in the living room so you can't cool down or warm up the bedrooms.
- Keith (9/5): - The cottage was vintage but restored to a high spec. The place had everything you could possibly need for extended stay Location right opposite golf club where people friendly and course very affordable to play. Could walk to town easy enough and Exchange Hotel good for food and entertainment. Not much to report. Timber property with tin roof so strange noises at night that took a bit of getting used too. And single glazed to could hear when lorries passed but not a busy road so not a major thing.

- Richard Bowie (10/5): Awesome - Awesome. Large, spacious and easy to stay in. Felt at home straight away. Nothing
- Madan (9/5): All good comfortable - All good. Very comfortable. Recommended NA
- Angelica (8/5): -

- John (10/5): Very relaxing stay. Recommend highly - Comfortable, roomy and well maintained. Nothing
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Shilling (10/5): - It was like a home away from home. So comfortable. I could move in permanently. Great proximity to the rail trails and Wilson's Prom. A fabulous stay Loved everything
- Samantha (7/5): -
- Tim (9/5): - nice base for exploring the hills and the prom
as others have said, the kitchen is very well equipped with a pantry full of spices etc hot water was not switched on, but that was easily fixed
- Ben (10/5): Amazing cottage and great atmosphere - The cottage was charming, clean and comfortable. The location to town was so close it only takes about 7 to 8 minutes to walk there.
- Rumbi (8/5): Very good -
- Nicole (9/5): Superb - Lovely rustic cottage, very roomy. I would only wish for soft mattress toppers
- Janice (8/5): Rustic cottage, lovely rural location close to the village - Lovely spot on the edge of town, quiet country outlook, self contained, nice deck, gorgeous friendly horses in next door paddock. Handy location to Wilson’s Prom, Fish Creek and the Great Southern Rail Trail. Nothing. The cottage was a little rustic but we expected that from an old cottage. If it was colder we would have bought some firewood to use in the wood burner, but we had lovely weather and didn’t need to use it.
- Ron (8/5): Great place, but not clear about linens/towels. - The house size was amazing. It has everything, from great furniture to AC(not in bedrooms) to great shower, kitchen, and even washer and dryer. The 2 things I didn't like were linen and towels. On booking.com it says fee for both on one line but on another line it's included. Several people who stayed there had to pay for this.
I got a message one day before I came from the host to bring my own towels.
IMO, the host is playing a game.
It needs to be a lot clearer.
When I arrived I found enough towels.
None of the beds
have the sheets between the duvet and the person.
- Leanne (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great and house was very roomy. Everything
- Jacqui (10/5): Gorgeous - Super clean - very cosy and home like - fully stocked kids books games a lovely stay
- Phillip (9/5): Superb - Great quiet location
Beautifully renovated, furnished and equipped
Spacious
Pretty eat-in kitchen
Clean
Would highly recommend - they've thought of everything :)
- Sarah (9/5): Excellent holiday home, perfect for the Prom and South Gippsland - Lovely airy cottage with great kitchen and living room, great shower, nice outdoor spaces with very comfy seats, and very good beds. Well equipped kitchen, bbq, ten mins walk to Foster shops and 2 mins to golf club bar and bistro. The road is noisy first thing in the morning.
- Belinda (8/5): It was comfortable but outside needs to be cleaned up - It was a comfortable cottage and great location The outside garden was overgrown
- Fenn (8/5): Very good - Great location and communication with the host Host quick to respond when we didn't have bedsheets set up (might be worth noting on the advert)
- Ranjith (7/5): Good -
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (9/5): Superb - Location was good. Nice short walk into town.
- Felix (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, only 45 minutes to the national park, and no need to turn around! Kind landlord, clean house, everything is great. The kitchen has the most condiments I have ever seen There's nothing wrong ,all is well
- K.p.au (8/5): Beautiful country stay. - A lovely country cottage close to a lot of great small towns. Our kids had a great time playing with the board games. Having kids with us, it would've been good to have access to wi-fi.
- Wan (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (8/5): Lovely cute cottage for a cosy family stay to explore the Sth Gippsland area. - The location is great for exploring the Foster area. We were on a cycling tour and the house isn’t too far off the Sth Gippsland Rail Trail, plus it’s less than 1km to walk into town, and we enjoyed a good meal at the Golf Club, which is literally across the road. Traffic noise was light, nice outlook at rear, house is renovated and comfy, with lots of hot water, good kitchen facilities, and revere-cycle AC/heating. Loads of games and books for wet weather too. We didn’t know until the last minute that we’d be expected to provide linen & towels, which was a problem for us on bikes. Our host rescued us by providing this for $50 extra but this info should be provided upfront. There is a half-size dishwasher but it is too small for the dinner plates. Not an issue for us, but silly. Oven timer has to be set to make the oven work - took a while to work out. Back garden a bit overgrown.
- Gc (9/5): Comfortable, Great Location, Well appointed - Comfortable beds, wonderful kitchen, great outlook.
Very well located in close proximity to the golf club.
Easy walk into town to the shops and the pub.
Undercover parking for our two motorcycles.
Overall a great stay for three more mature gents on a motorcycle ride around VIC I wish the fireplace was up and running.
Looks close to completion
- Sue (9/5): A very bright and spacious cottage in a handy location with plenty to do in surrounding area. The outdoor area is great - Spacious bright cottage with a comfortable lounge and great outside deck. Plenty of garden space and quite rural views with cows in the adjacent paddock.
Kitchen is large and the lovely country dining table useful for everyone to congregate around. Good location close to Foster township with easy walk into town. Bathroom a little cold , a heater would be good. Only one mirror in the house.
- Priyanka (9/5): Superb - Collecting the keys was very simple and the house was exceptionally clean (the front screen door was so clean, you could hardly even see it!). The beds were really comfortable. Overall, we had a great time staying here and would stay here again! Having to bring our own bed linen was a bit inconvenient but not a dealbreaker obviously. The smoke alarm is very sensitive - went off a couple of times while we had the heating on.
