- Frank (6/5): - Location and the space in the garden It was not clean and cranky. OK for me as I am also from country side. But..... if I see the review stating cleanliness at 9, that is impossible. For the rest it was ok.
- Cenci (10/5): - El precio Nada q decir
Volveré a ir!!

- Ziva (10/5): A big thank you for this tranquil getaway. - Everything! Marcelo was so attentive and helpful. He even brought me hierba to make my very own mate tea. The place was clean and very calm, it had a good ac and fully quipped kitchen. He even drove me to catch the bus on my last day. Magical place worth coming back - I definitely will. Everything was spotless.

Super recomendable!!

- Juan (7/5): Basic good value accommodation in a boring small town - Accommodation in a small house in the outskirts of San Antonio de Areco was basic but it was clean and well equipped. Accomodation in El Rancho de mi Abuelo was great value at a cost of less than 30 Euros per night not including breakfast. The owner Marcelo was extremely helpful and friendly. All main tourist attractions and museums are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and those have happened to be my two full days in San Antonio de Areco. Furthermore, the timetable when museums are actually open is short and insufficient: from 11.15 till 16.30 it is part-time opening in my humble opinion. According to the kind lady who assisted me at the seldom open tourist office, the employees of the museums work much harder when the museums are closed than when they are open and I am unable to understand or believe that as the closed museums were empty and abandoned when I passed them by. The idea of closing a museum to make the employees work harder is simply absurd. A museum is an important cultural service both for tourists and the inhabitants of the town and it should be open every day.
To make things worse (if that's possible), the 1730 church is undergoing general restoration and there is hardly nothing to see when you enter.
It is crystal clear that improving tourism in San Antonio de Areco is not a priority for the authorities of a small town in La Pampa which seems to be full of undervalued and underestimated tourist attractions.
