Guest Reviews
- Indy (10/5): Amazing location with friendly helpful host, 10/10 recommend - The location is honestly the best you can get in Rome. Walking distance from all the big hot spots and also close to Travestere for lovely dinners. The bed was a little on the hard side
- irmamartina (10/5): - Tutto .La casa particolare

Gospodarz Claudio rewelacja. Bardzo miły sympatyczny pomocny. Wszystko super wytłumaczył, pomógł ogarnąć wszystko nawet otrzymałam mapę gdzie można super i dobrze zjeść. Wchodząc do apartamentu czuć atmosferę rzymską. Schody bardzo klimatyczne. Polecam z całego serca. Na pewno tam wrócę. Nie mam żadnych uwag.
- Lukas D (10/5): Lovely apartment in an excellent location! - Everything was wonderful! Claudio was an excellent host and responded to all our questions very quickly, making our stay even better. Nothing!
- Søren Kjelgaard (8/5): En fantastisk beliggenhed i Rom. En udlejer, der står klar med engagement, nærvær, stor viden og den største venlighed. - Fantastisk beliggenhed.
- Paula (8/5): - Todo genial pero la cama estaba muy dura
- Patricio (10/5): The views from the windows are magnificent - The room was beautiful
The location it’s perfect As partially sighted pensioner, I would say the absence of a lift
- Devin (9/5): -
- Luke (10/5): Very lovely and Claudio is the most helpful - The location! The beds were rock solid
- Jinxin (10/5): Exceptional - Claudio was a very nice and helpful host. We stayed there for 6 nights. Nice to have a washing machine. It’s in a great location. The room we had was beautiful.
- Maria (8/5): Lovely space in a perfect location. Great value option for convenience! - Amazing location, right in the centre. It is quite noisy outside at night so bring earplugs!! Lovely space and so many useful things like a washing machine, drying rack, steamer, fan, hair dryer, etc! The host is fantastic! He was so helpful with recommendations and really lovely. So easy to get in touch with! Made it feel so much more personal. Bed is very hard
- Lorenzo (7/5): Great place to visit Rome and find a cozy bed after a day full of exploring. - Very happy to find the fridge with water alredy there. Very large storage space. Nice view of the Rome characteristic city center. Great position in city center. We also found a steamer and an iron in the cupboards, which were not included in the list. We see potential for improvement in the bathroom features.
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location. Washer was a plus. Extra blankets and pillows were nice
- Manee (9/5): Nice host great location - Cut-vintage-style accommodation located in the historic part of the city. The atmosphere made me feel like I am visiting my relatives. It was perfect for exploring all the attractions on foot. The owner was very helpful. He made us a map featuring interesting points, especially good food and desserts spots.
- Cassandra (10/5): Amazing place. Claudio was a gem. - Absolutely loved this location. Stairs were no big deal for us but might be challenging for those with mobility issues. I loved everything.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, very close to public transport and historical sites, with delicious food nearby. The room was quiet and cozy. Claudio is the best host! He was always available, constantly checking if everything was okay and if he could help with anything. One of the best apartments I’ve stayed in while in Rome.
- Anthony (9/5): would definitely return to this property - Host arrived and gave us the access codes, was very welcoming and gave us an app showing locations for all we may have wanted to do There was a long steep staircase, but that was entirely manageable
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very spacious and clean. The perfect size for 1 or 2 people. Location was ideal, everything you need to see is within a 20 minute radius.
Claudio was super useful with tips and hacks for Rome. He was a very accommodating host.
- Laura (5/5): Unfortunately bad value for money - Location was amazing.
Claudio was friendly and nice host.
Code system of entry functioned perfectly. Toilet couldn’t flush properly.
Dusty furniture-wooden beams above the bed were full of dust.
It is unclear which apartment will you get-there are 3 of them on the pictures.
It was very noisy because the window was damaged and couldn’t shut properly so you could hear everything in the street.
- Garry (7/5): Good -
- Yonatan (8/5): Very good - Very nice and kind host. Helped us check in early. Big room, great location. Tons of dust above the beds on the wooden logs. . The area outside the room smells like cigarettes constantly. Bed is not so comfortable, one blanket.
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (9/5): Clod's pod is a lovely central location - The location was convenient, walking distance to many attractions. Claudio was very helpful with providing a map of nearby places to eat at, and it was lovely to come back to a nice big bed to rest in. The washing machine was placed quite high and hard to reach location, but manageable. Kitchen taps weren't in use much and the water was brown
- Шилин (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (7/5): Great location - The location Towels weren t changed
- Aliaksandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liubov (10/5): Great place, in the heart of Rome. Easy check in and check out. Clean and comfortable. I would come back again. -
- Ben (6/5): Very well situated apartment in need of better maintenance and care - Fantastic location in historic neighbourhood with excellent local restaurants. Property itself is historic with pleasant interior and views of street.
Host was attentive to problems and fixed them promptly when notified. Pleasant to deal with
Easy to access property with digital key system 1. Problems with utilities. Kitchen sink was initially without water and on one day the boiler malfunctioned, but both fixed promptly when owner notified.
2. Poorly maintained. Lightbulb broken in bathroom; kitchen not equipped with almost any basic cooking equipment or crockery; sink would not drain in kitchen; some parts of apartment were slightly grimy, such as shower cubicle
3. Bedding. Beds were quite hard and pillows uncomfortable. Two pillow cases had stains.
4. Very minor but noise from street level was disruptive in the night, but inevitable given central location
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional - Clods Pods offers a wonderfully cozy and inviting flat, ideally situated near all the main sightseeing attractions in Rome. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, always eager to address any questions or concerns. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning to this delightful place.😉👍
- Armon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karolina (7/5): Good - Regards to the location, you probably won't find better accommodation. The host was very nice and always available on the phone. The room in the photos does not correspond to reality. The room equipment was insufficient in terms of the kitchen, we expected more dishes. The third guest basically slept under a sheet and cover, not under a blanket.
- Narek (7/5): Would recommend for short stay - Excellent location, most major attractions within short walking distance, many restaurants, cafes and markets around. Claudio is very helpful, always in touch. Facilities were old but functional The room is on the 3rd floor, you have to climb 4 or 5 flights of narrow stairs. If you have a heavy luggage with you it will be difficult to reach the room
- Marina (9/5): Superb - I understand that it is hard to stay in a modern facility in the center of Rome. But the place, besides small, was really cozy and everything worked really fine. The location was amazing. I would definitely recommend it and would stay again. And Claudio was amazing! Gave me a lot of tips and answered all my questions. I just felt sorry that I didn't have the time to make his food tour.
- Anonymous (6/5): Provides great access to Rome although poor facilities for a longer stay - The location was unbeatable! Close to everything you need whilst in Rome. We could lime scooter everywhere in 10 mins and enjoyed the large selection on great restaurants and markets near by. The stairs getting to the room are awkward and tight. My husband is 6 foot and hit his head multiple times on the roof whilst walking up and down.
The bathroom needs to be redone. The shower makes the whole room wet even if you try your hardest to angle the shower head away from the doors.
Not enough towels given how many you need to use to keep the floor dry in the bathroom.
The pillows and bed were very firm, which I didn’t mind but my husband found uncomfortable.
I won’t be staying here again, although if you’re considering clod’s pod I would only stay for a max 2 nights!
- Ana (10/5): Restful, clean, authentic studio apartment - Very comfortable bed, loved the authentic studio room, not overly renovated maintaining it's original character. Quiet and peaceful, we slept like babies during afternoon naps and night. Very clean. I liked everything :)
- Murat (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Guillermo (7/5): Good -
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tina (8/5): great location! would go back :) - the location is really great and the place was clean!
the owner was super accommodating and the informations to get in were super precise the room was accessible after many stairs, just so you know if you have any difficulty like me it may be a little difficult
- Mitja (7/5): Good - Air conditioning didn’t work
- Natalya (6/5): Pleasant - The location was very comfortable, right in the center, everything was very reachable. Near were bus station, markets, cafes. We asked for a late check-out because our flight was late, they agreed, very thankful for that to the personal. They were nice overall. The bathroom was very small and uncomfortable, narrow showering space, after showering there was water everywhere. The room was also smaller and older than it looked. The furniture was also old, almost no dishes in the mini kitchen. There also was no light in the bedroom at all (physically no lamps, besides the two small ones near the bed.)
- Winnie (1/5): Bad - location was good the property was very shabby up 3 flights of stairs the cooking facilities were a 2 plate hob in a tiny alcove off the bathroom no kettle no microwave
it didn’t appear to have been decorated in many years
the sheets and towels were clean and white
would not recommend it
expensive for the condition it was in
- Maria (7/5): good option - Good location
nice staff
big apartment with a lot of space and a big bed
Smart TV the shower was not very clean and the towels had some hair.
noise at night until 12h aprox coming from the street
- Anonymous (9/5): the room was great! perfect location! comfortable room! I’d stay there again! - I loved the the location! I loved that the room! it was a great find!!! the ONLY gripe I had is having trouble reaching staff once but later they were VERY helpful
- Daria (10/5): Exceptional - everything was great! Pallaro team was helpful and very nice, the apartment felt like home
- Y (6/5): Pleasant -
- Zack (10/5): Exceptional - great location highly recommended, optimal cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff
- Leon (10/5): Exceptional - location was great, very central area, fantastic hosts, apartment was very beautiful
- Goran (10/5): Exceptional - quiet apartment, optimal cleanliness, everything very close
- Abayomi (10/5): great location, best apartment in Rome - thanks to the staff everything was very easy, cleaning fantastic, everything taken care of to the smallest detail, they helped me with the luggage as I have small physical problems.
Very comfortable bed, nearby is everything you could want, I will definitely come back
- Lucia (10/5): Exceptional - apartment was really good, was large and fantastic bathroom, thanks for everything
- Tsira (10/5): Exceptional - love this accomodation super close to everything, very clean
- Said (10/5): Exceptional - very clean, great location, very good place, fantastic host
- Abdullah (7/5): Good - tight and long stairs
- Jared (2/5): Avoid, other options are far better - Location, nothing else. Where to start. We have been hosts in NYC, London, and other cities for 10+ years, properties that we own and renovated. We started living between NYC and London a decade ago and travel to every continent but Antarctica by April every year, so we started a hobby IG with which we collaborate with luxury hotels (ie Mandarin Oriental, four seasons, etc).
As we often have gaps between collaborations, we often rent an apt, so we have a kitchen, so, we booked this (we have stayed nearby many times, our latest being 50m away; so, we were not looking for a Four Seasons and didn't expect anything exceptional, but similar to those that we have previously stayed in).
Unfortunately, the apartment was not as advertised. In addition to looking nothing like the pictures, it barely even has windows and is falling apart, smaller than a hotel room, the mini fridge (which of course every hotel has), didn't work, so the €80 worth of groceries we purchased for our 2 day stay were wasted.
The kitchen hot plate doesnt work - you can have 1 burner on the lowest setting, and it will trip incessantly. There is no cookware (there was only one plate and one bowl, only one pot, no spatulas or cooking utensils, no cutting knife, 1 fork). This is not an apartment to rent if you want to cook-and we only eat dinner, no breakfast or lunch, so we are not cooking much.
The unit is rundown, similar to what you would find in student housing (though neither of us ever lived in anything of this condition during uni or grad school, years ago).
The toilet runs incessantly, the hairdryer and other appliances (presumably including the non-functional mini fridge) are literally from the 1980s, it is very dark due to the lack of windows and the built-ins (of which there are an absurd number, take up the majority of the living space).
If it were priced aggressively, it would be a good option vs maybe a hostel, but otherwise there really would be no reason to stay here with so many alternatives.
