Guest Reviews
- Tiyana (7/5): Host was very helpful and made the key exchange simple and easy. - Location was most appreciated and outside was quiet. We also appreciated the fact that it had two beds. Pillows were too hard ( I have a smaller lighter head, so for me it was uncomfortable). Everything else was fine and as expected.
- Anna (9/5): Perfect location for exploring Rome. No need for car or public transit. Wonderful location near Campo di Fiori. - The location literally in the center of old historic Rome was perfect! Walking distance to all the major sites. Local square had all the services needed. The beds were not the most comfortable. The overall suite had good spaces, good eating area and many electrical outlets. The host was lovely and very helpful. The suite was very clean.
- Una (9/5): Fabulous - Michela the host was welcoming and very helpful, in the real Italian hospitable style. She met us on arrival, which was about 21.45, to hand over the keys and explain about the apartment and the location and restaurants etc. She sent us other information over the three days that we were there which was very much appreciated. So thank you Michela. The location of the apartment is fantastic. Beautiful old streets with plenty of good small restaurants that felt really authentic. All attractions within walking distance.
The apartment itself is very charming and very well equipped. One thing I missed when booking is that the double bed is on a loft. It is not a separate room. First I have to say the bed itself was very comfortable. While it looks cute, the little wooden stairs may be challenging for some. The ceiling in the loft area is about 150cm high. So just be aware of that. The downstairs is quite spacious and you can convert the sofa to a double bed if you do not want to use the loft bed.
It wasn't an issue for us but may be for someone if they are not agile enough.

- Natalie (9/5): Very central and compact flat right in the centre of Rome. - The flat is very compactly laid out with a mezzanine bed with a ladder up to it, well stocked kitchen area, and separate toilet/bathroom. (The pictures give a good idea of the layout.) It is very snug and although it's in a busy central area, wasn't too noisy at night. The location is great, with St Peters, the Forum/Colosseum, and many other sights within 20 minutes walking distance, and a great choice of bars, cafes and restaurants all within 5 minutes. There's a great gluten-free bakery 10 minutes walk away, which we made a lot of use of. Our hosts communicated well and it was easy to check in. Nothing major - it's worth being aware that the property is two floors up without a lift in case you have difficulty with stairs. If you are very tall, you might have some issues with the mezzanine bed and ladder, but the flat has various action-motivated lights and padding on the corners of the bed to stop bumps, and we managed without too much issue (one of us is 6'1").
- Ewa (10/5): We had an amazing stay in Rome celebrating my son 18th bday. Managed to visit a lot of fabulous places due to fabulous l - You can’t get a better location! In the heart of Rome with short walk to all popular sides. Owner couldn’t be any more accommodating and friendly. Also apartment was soooo clean.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beatriz (9/5): Superb - The apartment is super charming and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was quiet and dark.
The host welcomed us to hand over the keys and gave us several tips on nearby restaurants and attractions. Very friendly and attentive. Great location. I would stay in the same apartment again without thinking twice
- Gretchen (9/5): It was a good location and neat and clean. It worked out well for a one night stay. - It was in a great location. The kitchen was good. We were only able to stay one night, so didn't spend much time in the room. Nothing we noted.
- Katarina (10/5): Exceptional - everything was perfect
- Martyna (10/5): The best apartment for city break! - Such a great stay! The best location, in a charmful area, full of cafes, restaurants, shops. Super cosy, clean apartment. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, we didn't have to worry about anything. Our hosts took care of us like a family. I haven't been in such a nice place like this one. I higly recommend staying in Old Montserato.
- Dorothe (8/5): Great location, most tourist attractions within walking distance. Busstop nearby. - Great location. The apartment was cosy and authentic, and well equipped. It is a bit tricky to reach the high bed via the stairs. The mattress of the sofa bed was too soft for us. In summer it is rather dark but this doesn't matter if you are outside most of the time.
- Xinru (9/5): soooo nice! - I must admit, this is one of the best apartments I have stayed in during my travels in Europe. Plus, the interior of this apartment is very retro and cheerful. Even though the apartment is not large, the interior furnishings are simple and sophisticated. The apartment also has very modern facilities, especially a washing machine and dryer, which was very important to us. The heating in the room was also very good so we didn't feel too cold. All in all, my friend and I spent four comfortable days in this cozy apartment in Rome. The landlord was also very enthusiastic and told us a lot of information. We love this apartment so much. Perhaps the only drawback is that there is no elevator, but this can all be forgiven
- Selman (7/5): Good -
- Michal (9/5): Great spot for a couple of days - Great location - you can do everything on foot, very clean, comfortable bed and pillows (sofa not so much, as it’s very soft), washing machine, iron, hairdryer are provided. Air conditioning. And last but not least great service and recommendations from Michela. Only thing we didn’t like is that the apartment was very dark. It’s situated in a quite narrow old street and the building itself is also old so it explains why it’s so dark. We were mostly out, so it didn’t bother us too much, but it really was very dark.
Also a tiny wine bar is located downstairs and we could’ve smell the food when keeping the windows open (it wasn’t a huge thing, the place has like 2 tables).
- Alicia (10/5): Lots of stairs up but would 100% come back again. - This location was amazing. They had all the American accommodations that we were used too, especially after being in a foreign country for so long. Nothing!
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - The location is fantastic and the apartment has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. It’s also just really cute and the host Michela is wonderful.
- Joshua (10/5): Prime location, excellent staff, would stay again. - The location is perfect for tourism in Rome, and there is a lot to offer within a minute’s walk. The staff is responsive and checkin was easy. I would recommend. NA
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Konstantinos (8/5): Very good - Very good location, well equiped and very clean!!!
Although the building is very old, the appartment is in a very good condition, comfort and really spacious. The only negative is that the bed that is located above closet, wherte both the stairs and access to bed is really very difficult and the height above bed is very limited. The alternative to sleep to the sofa, is not a good choise (due to the quality of the mattress and need to relax and rest after walking arount the city).
Appartment is located at second floor in a building without elevator (in case you carry many bags).
- Dante (10/5): Exceptional -
