• Ivana (3/5): Ad is misleading. This is a shared apartment with the owner, not only a shared bathroom - The location was good. Close to the city centre and commercial drive has some very nice options for coffee/lunch. Ali was very responsive and friendly via the Booking chat, and also let us check in before check in time. The bed was nicely made and clean. That being said, I would never stay here again. The ad states "this apartment includes a shared bathroom..." Nothing about a shared rest of the house. This is a room for rent, where the owner is also present but other then opening the door via intercom, we never saw ali but knew he was inside, not saying a word, which was weird. After we slept there we left asap in the morning. I've read more reviews later on and only then reviews where more ppl did not accept to be renting a room. With the owner stating that was there own problem as the ad would not be misleading. I'm adding photos to this review to show why the ad is misleading. When renting, i get the option to book a "apartment met 1 slaapkamer" (apartment with one room, in Dutch) which is not the case. Next to the description that only states a shared bathroom. It's fine to rent out a room in your apartment, but be upfront about it. Because we would have never booked this if we knew there would be more shared than the bathroom. In addition to this little surprise, the bathroom was not clean. Public hairs on the toilet and starting black spots near the bath, which my boyfriend assumed is mold. The house smelled of very strongly food, which is fine when I visit a friend, but I personally don't enjoy in my bedroom. I had the feeling I was in the old outdated house of an elderly person. Which, try as you might, it's never really clean anymore.
• Sara G (8/5): Good option close to the city center - The apartment is located in a quiet neighbourhood, with easy access to public transportations to downtown Vancouver. the room is clean and is looking exactly as the pictures on the website. check-in process has been extremely smooth and the host has been kind and there to support in case of need.

• Bamgbopa (8/5): Very nice comfortable space and it’s almost like you have the whole place to yourself. A fantastic host too, I must say👍 - Very neat and close to everything Downtown Vancouver😊. The host was very respectful of our space and also, very helpful.

• Maggie (9/5): Superb - The location is good. The apartment was clean and cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable. The property is an older building so don't expect anything ultra modern. However it had everything we needed. Ali was extremely helpful. The age of the building and the apt. might not suit everyone if they're looking for modern and sleek, although we were happy with it.

• Chris (6/5): Pleasant - It was a quiet apartment and easy to get to. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. There was parking in the back. The ad said private room in a one bedroom apartment with private entrance. So was surprised when we got there and It was a two bedroom apartment with the host there. It did not say it was a shared accommodations. Would not have stayed there if we knew we had to share with someone. Went to visit our son and it was our anniversary so wanted a private accommodation.
• Penelope (7/5): Nice room in an apartment, very nice host. However, not what was expected. - Ali was a super nice host. Room was clean and comfortable. The booking.com ad is misleading, you actually rent a room in an apartment that the host lives in as well. That was an unexpected surprise since we thought we would have the whole apartment to ourselves. Also the cleanliness of the washroom was ok.
