• leand (1/5): Not happy and didn’t stay - The photos used for advertising The request for a $400 damage bond Because of this we did not stay at the unit as we believed this request to be very unreasonable. All other High End properties we stay at ask $200 some zero, so thought it very disappointing that $400 was requested, I checked my account before doing this review in the hope that the room payments refunded but no it wasn’t despite my emails of objection to the unjustified $400 bond request and chose not to stay based on our principles of doing the right thing and not being ripped off.

• Riley (10/5): Comfort in gold - It was an absolutely lovely and classy room. Everything themed to make you feel royal. Took my partner here for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. The bed was SO comfy and so was the lounge. Access to all streaming platforms, conplimentary items and snacks and I still cant get over the themeing. Will definitely have to book again! ✨️ Everything was great!

• Ahmadi (1/5): This accommodation relies heavily on the Versace name to attract bookings, but in reality it has not - This accommodation relies heavily on the Versace name to attract bookings, but in reality it has nothing in common with the actual Palazzo Versace experience. The listing is misleading and overhyped. I paid extra for an “ocean view”, which was clearly advertised, yet there was no proper ocean view at all. Charging for something that doesn’t exist is simply false advertising. The so-called discounted price is also misleading. With the budget I paid, there are many far better options around the Gold Coast that offer genuine views, better service, and more honest listings. The manager, Tash, was rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful, and seemed more interested in charging extra fees than resolving legitimate concerns. If you don’t know your rights, you will be taken advantage of. Overall, this place trades on a luxury brand name without delivering even basic expectations. Do not be misled — you can get much better value and service elsewhere.

I value honesty, and while 90% of my reviews are positive, this place is an absolutely not even close for vale for money. ​Room & Comfort The curtains are cheap ringlets with massive gaps that fail completely to block the 4:30 AM summer sun or  and the street noise is loud, making sleep impossible. The furniture looks like worn, gaudy cast-offs from the old Versace hotel. There are no bedside lamps, and only one side of the queen bed has accessible power points. ​Cleanliness & Maintenance General workmanship is appalling. ​Bathroom: The shower screen is uselessly small, flooding the floor unless you hug the corner. Water pools in the bathtub due to poor leveling, and there is no exhaust fan for steam or odors. ​Fixtures: The toilet is cheap, with manufacturer labels still stuck to the bowl and a cheap toilet seat. ​Balcony: Mediocre view of the oven between the buildings, and the ashtray still contained cigarette butts from previous guests. ​Noise: Traffic noise is severe on the 7th floor, particularly when the garbage truck arrives at 6 AM. ​Amenities & Services ​Wi-Fi: The password is hidden in tiny text on the modem base. The  wifi speed is so abysmal that the smart TV cannot load Netflix or YouTube. My mobile data was 10x faster. ​Service: For the price, you expect daily servicing. Instead, we were given four towels and one bath mat to last a three-night stay. ​Facilities: The listing is deceptive. There is no pool or spa access. You only discover after booking that this is a privately owned unit inside an old Mantra  hotel building, not a 5 star hotel room. ​Fridge: Barely keeps items cold. ​** shady Practices & Logistics** ​Bribery: The owner attempts to buy 5-star reviews by offering the cheap contents of the mini-bar (worth ~$20). ​Parking: On-site parking is a scam. It costs $30, but the cycle resets at 5:30 AM.

It’s wasn’t clean and everywhere was dirty and dusty. On arrival there was a clear lack of maintenance, with surfaces and furniture scuffed, scratched and often paired with a layer of grime and or dust.

Every detail was meticulously curated to exude luxury and sophistication. The sexy black decor gave the space a bold, sultry vibe that instantly made me feel like a VIP. It’s clear the host has poured so much thought into every single element—from the sleek design to the high-quality amenities. It was indulgent, stylish, and unforgettable. If you’re looking for an ultra-luxe experience, this is the place to be! That i didn't know about it sooner. I will seek out to stay here every opportunity I get.

The decor was great and luxurious feeling. The owner was super helpful and answered my numerous questions very quickly and effectively. I would definitely book again for my next Gold Coast retreat! I wish there could have been a bigger shower and a disposable toothbrush/toothpaste provided but this was definitely not a big deal at all to me :)

I booked the Meriton after walking away from this place for way cheaper and was way more “designer” feeling. She gave 0 refunds towards the room and deposit I understand she thinks it’s offensive but literal hand prints on this “clean bed”. My bad I told her it looked like a run down brothel. Designer stickers 🤣🤣 Everything I absolutely don’t recommend lady was nasty over asking for a refund for her terrible cleaning skills. Sorry Natasha but doing your fellow kiwis like that Kia Ora.

It was a multi sensory experience like no other ever experienced! I thought the parking was $25/day however it clocked to the next “day” at 5:30am so got a bit of shock at $50 for onsite parking! Easy to misread. But was still a fantastic experience!

The bed sheet and blanklet under the sofa bed had a very unpleasant smell. The facilities at Mantra on View are too old and not properly maintained.

The property (outside the room - which was fabulous) and facilities are poorly maintained by Mantra!! I lost water in my room for over 24hrs. The spas were cloudy and not maintained. The pool area showers were not great and the lights didn’t work. Tasha tried to assist but this was all related to Mantra and their maintenance issues, not the room itself 😕
