Guest Reviews
- Andrew (9/5): Lovely cosy log cabin with a good breakfast - Breakfast was great. The location was a little out of town as we were on foot. With a car it would have been fine.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional - Darling little spot with everything you could need...wonderful quiet location in the trees and little garden, most comfortable bed, full kitchen, tastefully decorated with owner's artwork and lots of books, pleasant back patio, etc., etc. Bonus is all you need for a great make-it- yourself. breakfast (fresh bread, eggs, oj, homemade jam). Walk to shore or town.
Perfect little spot!!!
- Ken (9/5): Superb - It was quite private and in a beautiful setting. We had plenty of room and the food provided for breakfast was excellent.
- Theresa (8/5): Very good -
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (9/5): A perfect hidden gem close to town for a one-night getaway! - Location was great, close to town, and the breakfast was lovely! A beautiful property overall, the garden and outdoor surroundings are incredibly charming and peaceful. I wish I booked an extra night! The pillows weren't too comfortable, but an easy fix just to bring your own for next time :)
- June (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (9/5): really worth it. I would definitely come back! -
- Cheryl (4/5): Disappointing -
- Elsa (7/5): Cabin in the forest - It was conveniently located from town. Comfortable mattress and very nice bedding. Breakfast ingredients and delicious bread. Very private. Not what you would expect from a typical bed and breakfast. Breakfast ingredients (4 eggs, cream, butter and jam) were placed in fridge and bread and coffee on counter to prepare your own breakfast for the 2 nights' stay. Pictures in ad a bit misleading as they showed mostly the suite. We were given a private cabin which was somewhat dark as it was in the forest. The seams in the shower stall showed mold, the flooring was disintegrating and the water drained very slowly. The outside sitting area would have been more inviting if it had been cleaned. Also, I booked this particular b&b because it advertised a bakery on the premises which was, unfortunately, no longer there but was still advertised on their site.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Janet (8/5): great breakfast supplies, clean and comfortable - cozy, comfortable and clean weather didn’t co-operate to use the outside deck
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Kelley (6/5): Be aware of which unit you are renting. - The bed was really comfortable and the cabin was cozy. The supplies left for breakfast were very nice. Check in was uncomfortable. We arrived and didn’t know where to go. There was no signage and no one around. We texted and phoned the available numbers with no contact. When we found the place we thought we had booked, we found it had been booked by someone else! I think it was my mistake, but the ads were misleading. The cottage we were put into didn’t have the amenities we were expecting. The young man who met us was polite, but we never heard from him again regarding our concerns about the accommodation.
- Sam (8/5): Very good - The nature surrounding the area. Especially the “art” trail Lack of a few amenities. Such as paper towels, Kleenex and a dish towels to dry the dishes. A small microwave would be nice.
- Naomi (8/5): Very good -
- Beth (3/5): VERY Disappointed!! - Proximity to final destination.
Very quiet. A lot of old equipment cluttering the yard. Very poor first impression. Never before have I been at a B&B where I was expected to cook my own breakfast.!
Breakfast was 4 raw eggs in the fridge. Part of a loaf of sourdough bread. A small jar of previously opened jam. Instant coffee. No juice. There was butter. Expected to wash our own dishes. No drain tray for wet dishes.
The shower stall looked like it was coated in grime in the corner. The wood floor in the front of the shower was starting to rot due to water damage. A mat was placed to try to cover it.
The bed was extremely firm to the point of being uncomfortable.
The owners left a note with the key. They never appeared.
Considering the cost was $197.00 a night we felt taken advantage of.
This facility was very rustic. Someone suggested they used to do glamping here. That's really what it might still be.
- Andrew (9/5): Cute, clean and a great location near the Moby pub - Cute and clean, overall a wonderful stay in a great location. A little bit of road noise in the morning.
- Grison (10/5): Exceptional - Cute and cozy
- Trudy (8/5): Rustic but comfortable. Breakfast items were a little meager. - Location Price
- Mark (8/5): Would stay here again. - Rustic - but comfortable. Lovely bed and warm quilt. Kitchen was small in size but had everything we needed. Thanks to our hosts. Base of shower needs some freshening.

- Bettina (8/5): I’d come again. - Good enough. I especially enjoyed the bread and jam. The shower floor looked dirty. It felt like no one had been there for a while. Having said that the was charming with a very sweet tiny kitchen that served us well.

- Lesley (7/5): A nice little cabin with some great bread, jam, eggs and juice - It was a little log cabin which had a comfy bed. The location was good and it felt safe. It was quite dark and the outside area was tiny.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (5/5): A place to crash for 1 night. - It was clean and quiet. When we arrived we had no idea where to go, what unit was ours as no one there to tell us where to go. The closet for clothes was a joke and no where else to put clothes. Breakfast was a BARE minimum. The area outside the fence was a disaster, Getting through the gate was tricky as the greenery needed trimming.A place to stay
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerald (6/5): OK. Didn't seem to be any one around to help if we needed it. - Breakfast consisted of bread, jam, coffee, tea, orange juice, and eggs left in the cabin fridge for us to prepare.
- Edlira (8/5): Very good - Thank you for having us stay with you : ). Your home is charming and quite 'tucked away' for being so close to town.
Loved the look of your orchard in the back, the peace and quiet, and the breakfast 'touches'.
Hope to be back,
Edlira & Valentin
- Madyson (8/5): Very good - very cute cabin and close to downtown the phone number on booking.com was not their actual phone number so our calls never went through and we couldn’t get ahold of them to ask how check-in worked.
- Ciaran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Douwe (8/5): Very good - Cute little log cabin close to town yet very quiet, comfortable bed. Very small and no view.

- Wan (9/5): Superb -
- Kanako (9/5): Cozy log cottage! - Cute, cozy, and comfortable with everything you need! It was quiet and private but very central… a couple of minutes walk to the town. Bedding and breakfast were superb! Only thing was towels provided were quite rough and scratchy…
- Lianne (10/5): Great spot, close to everything! - Lovely cabin with parking in a good location close to town!
- Leila (10/5): Exceptional - Good location. Kind helpful host. Great breakfast. Very clean. We enjoyed our stay.Thank you!

- Smith (6/5): Pleasant -
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (5/5): Not worth the amount we paid - The location was good The shower needs to be replaced, the carpet removed as well
- Brian (7/5): It was fine for the price - The cabin was clean and everything promised present and working. The owner met us with the key and then left us completely in peace. It was very pleasant. There’s no TV. The bed is old and uncomfortable and the pillows are very thin
- Flavio (8/5): Very good -
- Burford (8/5): Small and sweet. - Very cozy and welcoming feeling. small but nice. The breakfast offering to make breakfast were super. The owner was very friendly. Saltspring has so much to see and wholesome.

- Demirer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Coral (8/5): Fit the bill! - Thoughtful & generous. I liked being able to make my own breakfast. Everything was very tasty. The cabin is equipped with everything a person needs. I think a face-to-face encounter with hosts always leaves a positive impression. If only to be able to say hello, I am here? Covid has passed but the hospitality industry has been changed for the worst.
My happiest memories of travels usually involve meeting locals and laughing for awhile with them.
The log cabin is dark even with all the lights on?
- Donna (8/5): Restful - Kitchen facilities & food excellent. Very quiet & peaceful.
- Nicole (1/5): Honestly, we booked for two nights but only stayed the first night because the smell of the cabin, towels & bedding - The location The uncleanliness & smell of it

- Caimen (9/5): Private and beautiful place to make as a base to explore the island. - Beautiful quiet peaceful
- Ian (10/5): A charming little cabin in the woods. The hosts were gracious. We felt very lucky to stay there. -
- Angella (8/5): A lovely place at the heart of the island, would definitely stay again. - Location was great for us as it was in nature but an easy walk down the hill into town. We heard the frogs and birds singing at night Bread provided from Franvise Bakery was delicious. Bed was comfy. It had all the things we needed, and the little patio was perfect for snacking on cheese. A little bit of extra shelf space inside would have been handy for books and phones and whatnot but I have no real complaints. I was confused about which unit was ‘the cabin’ but a quick phone call sorted me out.
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional - Such a lovely little cabin in a walking distance to Ganges.

There was a small kitchen, which was useful with everything needed for a short trip. We enjoyed the breakfast provided. Overall it was great value, with a comfortable bed and privacy. We would stay again!

- Sandi (9/5): An excellent escape from the city! Will be back! - Cozy, comfortable and quiet cabin. Comfy bed. Delicious bread for breakfast. Seamless check in/wifi, etc. The frog that taunted me at various times in the night!

- Murdoch (9/5): This was a very cozy and comfortable and well-equipped cottage to stay in. - The breakfast items provided were great. The cottage was very cozy. - Judy (8/5): Great place, just what I needed. - Location was great. Easy to walk into Ganges. Easy to find. Front steps slippery when it rained and hard to see in the dark. A small light would help.
- Paul (9/5): We had a cosy, comfortable suite in a nice pastoral setting amongst tall trees. - Very nice pastoral setting amongst tall trees; close to Ganges; friendly hosts; cosy and comfortable suite.
- Roy (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (8/5): Sweet Stay - This charning little cabin was way better equipped than I had expected, with all the basics to store food and cook simple meals, plus there are wonderful staples for guests like amazing bread, butter, milk, coffee, jam, eggs... I love this model of self-catered BnB. The hosts are very sweet and friendly. Unfortunately it's on a pretty busy stretch of road and noise gets through the walls, so if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs. The charms of the place, and comfort of the bed, certainly made up for that though!
- Wartooth (8/5): Very good -
