We recommend this property very highly. - We loved the provision of a quality ping pong table which provided hours of entertainment for the kids and adults. We were able to set it up on the verandah. We were most impressed by the high quality kitchen utensils the importance of which is often overlooked. The lounge room couch could have been a little more comfortable but it served its purpose well.
- David (5/5): Great location, clean but needs a lot more work to be up to standard! - The location was fantastic, the house was spotlessly clean, the kitchen/dining and outdoor areas are amazing, the house was very well equipped with some exceptions. On arrival we all thought, WTAF when we saw the front door and the meter box from where we had to collect and return the keys. The front screen door was hanging off, the fly screen on that door may as well not be there, it's ripped and wouldn't keep an elephant out, let alone a mosquito. The meter box cover was half hanging off, which is quite dangerous, as this is where the keys were in a key box, that wasn't even secured to the wall. In fact, the wrought iron part of the screen door actually fell off, due to the strong winds, on the first day that we were there! The owner is quite well aware of this, as it was brought to their attention in a review back in February. The front door was also blocked by heavy furniture, which is a major safety hazard. The lounge room was totally devoid of any ambience or comfort, the furniture is revolting, the sofa is actually falling apart and is stained, there is only a bare light globe in this room, that does little to light the gloom, there is no artwork, rugs, lamps etc. The curtains in the lounge room and the minor bedrooms are a joke, they are ugly and do nothing to block the light. There is no heating in the bathrooms, no bins and no hanging hooks either. At a total cost of $550 per nigh for our stay, we expected better! We also received conflicting instructions on how to collect and return the keys.
