Guest Reviews
- Kimberly (9/5): On check in, the staff were wonderful and accommodated our group with an upgrade. Enjoyed our stay! - Wonderful staff, restaurant and property.
- Jenkins (7/5): Good for the money spent - Restaurant was good No hot water
- Joy (6/5): - Location The shower didn’t work. No fridge in room. Door not secure
- Kori (7/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Sharet C. (5/5): - Room clean
- ALESSANDRO (8/5): Ottima soluzione - Posizione ideale per l’escursione in barca a Lamanai
Staff professionale e gentile e pulizia ottima
Ci siamo rilassati nelle pause in piscina.
Buono il ristorante e ottima colazione
- R (9/5): - Staff food pool location Need a mini fridge in the room
- Nancy (10/5): - Excellent location on the New River. Lovely pool, restaurant and lounging area. The food was very delicious! The room was huge and very clean - lots of towels. We didn't stay long enough!
- Irene (9/5): -
- Albert (8/5): Will be back - Nice quiet and excellent restaurant N/A
- Shawn (9/5): -
- Michele (7/5): -
- Andrea (7/5): - Die Lage direkt am Fluss Das Service beim Frühstück und sonst beim Abendessen
- APMorgs (9/5): - The staff were all very friendly, the bar and restaurant area welcoming and the food good. The pool area was very well done. The shower was cold and the plimbing generally a bit clunky.
- Vincent (9/5): - Nice place, very quiet and peaceful. Do NOT take the Lamanai boat tour with their partner company. It is expensive and the rule on site is "rush". On the way back, no stop was made to watch wildlife despite the presence of beautiful big birds.
- Helena (8/5): Nice place near Orange Walk - Nice hotel, friendly people The restaurant didn’t have half the items in the menu
- Eggers (8/5): Thanks for everything. Hope to beback. - We loved our stay. Yes it shows it's age abit but the room was terrific and staff tremendous. River trip was wonderful, like Disney ride but real. Meals were all excellent, enough for two most times.
- Ariane (9/5): Kommen gern wieder. - Tolle Lage am See mit Anleger für eine Bootstour.
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Margot and Bernard (9/5): - Great place to start the boat trip to Lamanai
- Ian (8/5): - Nice staff, nice views Totally overpriced at 150USD worth half that, long way from town but knew this when I booked and couldn't find a reasonable alternative. Main problem is the price over the top
- Rachel (10/5): Great first night stay in Belize. Easy and fun way to see Lamanai and the food was delicious. - The staff and food were absolutely amazing. Nothing
- John (9/5): Wonderful. - Location, staff, wildlife, food were all excellent. The Mayan fish is outstanding. Some road noise during the day.

- Adria (10/5): Fabulous stay, amazing staff, great value! - It seems that we were able to book rooms when the hotel was closed (for low season) through Booking.com, and the hotel honored our booking anyway. We were the only people staying at the hotel. Every single person on staff who was brought in was kind, helpful, and pleasant. We were so impressed with how much effort they put into ensuring we had everything we needed, cooking amazing meals, and providing us everything we asked for (especially considering the hotel was closed for low season). We cannot speak highly enough about the staff at Lamanai Landings. The value for the price was also great - rooms were comfortable and clean, the hotel is right on the marina, allowing for easy boat access to take a trip to Lamanai ruins. Excellent place to stay!
- Christina (7/5): Guter Ausgangspunkt für eine Lamanai-Tour - - schöne Lage am Fluss
- netter, kleiner Pool
- gutes Restaurant
- Frank Schoen (9/5): Ontspannen verblijf vlakbij Lamanai.
- Leigh (9/5): Superb - Great location with restaurant and hotel right on rhe water. Staff were crey friendly and helpful. Also fabulous we could do rhe river cruise to lamanai ruins right from the hotel . Food at restaurant was nice and generous portions Didn't have hot water first day but staff fixed ir quickly as soon as they knew.
- Francis (10/5): Exceptional - TeLly nice place on the river supper peaceful
- Douglas (10/5): I shall return - Every meal was incredible. I spent 6 nights here. Great staff; close to many attractions. No bugs. Beautiful view on the lake. I have no complaints
- Neil (10/5): Fantastic lakeside hotel near the Mayan ruins of Lamanai - Really nice hotel with huge rooms set on a lake. Friendly bar/restaurant staff who couldn't do enough for you. Food was excellent. Wifi strong enough to stream TV. They arranged a riverboat tour to Lamanai for me which was excellent. Nothing
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Lewis (10/5): I have a great stay - Relaxing No refrigerator
- Bruce (8/5): Very good - Great tacos at the restaurant- a must try!
- William (8/5): I would stay again. Staff was friendly. - Breakfast was good, but pricey. Location was great. Loved being on the water and it was convenient for the cruise. Wifi was not as strong as I would have liked, but it was fine.
- Cynthia (7/5): Good - Things would have been better, if the room had a refrigerator and hot coffee and hot water for drinking.
- Gerda (6/5): ok for 1 night - The location at the river. The bed felt like the lower part of a springbox. Not enough veg. options in the restaurant.
We tipped the guy on duty to come get our luggage and he never showed up. He was gone.
- Andrea (9/5): Superb -
- Tammie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (7/5): Nice place to stay when visiting the lamanai ruins - We had a nice stay with a large room with a great view of the lake. Nice to have a restaurant on site (closed Tuesdays) and we enjoyed a boat tour to Lamanai. It's a drive into town so a car is necessary Wifi wasn't working while we were there
- Dennis (5/5): It was alright - Our room was very nice They had you buy the balls for eating. Not cheap. And tried charging for morning coffee and every refill 😢
- Chris (8/5): Inexpensive with friendly staff - Inexpensive hotel with quiet room. Adequate but scarce accommodations in room.
Location is off very busy road.
- Sophie (7/5): Quiet pleasant stay for Lamanai - The rooms are spacious and clean with lovely balconies over the water. It’s very easy to do a river cruise to Lamanai from the hotel. The Top Deck restaurant is good (especially for tacos) and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly. You’re pretty isolated so other than the river cruise there’s not much to do and there’s zero atmosphere in the shared areas. We also found getting to/from the property challenging. In particular, they recommended a shared shuttle who forgot to pick us up, and then arranged a private taxi to Belize City with someone who clearly had Covid.
- Debbie (1/5): Loved the place and the restaurant. - Location and staff Bed not very comfortable
- Brigitte (8/5): Peaceful at the back of the building despite highway - View over the lake and peaceful atmosphere.
Helpful reception staff
Good location for boat tour to Lamanai -Breakfast: expensive with additional cost for poor coffee quality and terrible juice
-Cleanliness : bedsheets stained
- Felix (5/5): Passable - Hotel is very near to the highway and so very Loud.
Booking the Tour to Lamanai at the Hotel is very expensiv. In our case They Even forgot to organize it then!
- Christina (8/5): Very good -
- Heather (9/5): Great value, good food, lots of wildlife! - Responsive and attentive staff, delicious food and bar, wildlife, lamanai tour boat picks you up at the restaurant, gated parking, spacious rooms, AC, private deck over the water, close to orange walk. My husband and I stopped at the deck for a drink after a tour. We were the only people there and the staff noticed him fanning me with a menu- it was a warm day. Moments later the overhead fans came on... just a great experience!
- Shin (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (8/5): Overall a nice place - Overview of pond Too much truck traffic on highway with break horns.
- Alisa (8/5): Beautiful but isolated place with few dining options - The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the shower is probably the best we had in Guatemala. The place is in a really beautiful location. They arranged a very good tour of Lamanai for us. Restaurant has limited options for vegetarians/vegans; you have to cab to get to Orange Walk, and the hotel charges a hefty commission for arranging transport. Understandably, because it overlooks a lagoon, it’s very buggy and we got bitten by a lot of bugs. They did arrange a very good tour of Lamanai for us but didn’t provide a ton of information about the logistics (luckily there was a private guide there who helped us out).
- Marua (9/5): Great stay - Environment, style, kindness Position - no possibility to walk downtown
- Jeff (8/5): Very good -
- Erica (7/5): Loved it as our first experience in Belize and would do it again!! - Everyone was very friendly! They have a great menu, but really only have specific foods available. It was all delicious.
They were also able to set us up with a great river tour to Lamanai with an outstanding guide- JR. our teenagers loved it!
- Friederike (9/5): Super nice hidden gem for a good price - Amazing food and restaurant on site. Friendly personal, clean and spacious rooms It was a bit difficult to find, no sign where to enter/ park, but in the end we found it. No common areas
- Pasciento (8/5): Tombstone - The workers were pretty helpful and property is very peaceful. First off It wasn't easy to locate... And even after we located the place; finding the current entrance was a hassle 😞 there's no signs to indicate where's the entrance. Secondly but most importantly; I didn't got the room I book. Instead 2bed rooms with 1bed I got 2bed rooms with 2beds plus I was charged and additional 9% charge to my stay. The wi-fi was not working the entire time stayed!
- Zhuang (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - I enjoyed my stay very much on the occasion of the Orange Walk Carnival. Spacious room with a great view. Very comfortable bed.
- Jessyka (10/5): Fun one nighter - I loved the room, beautiful balcony on the water, clean, comfortable beds and air conditioning. The staff was really fun to hand out at the bar with, loved them! Beautiful terasse with views of the lake and safe parking with 24/7 security.
- Katrina (8/5): Very good -
- Shope (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samer (8/5): Very good -
- Ludo (9/5): Lovely quiet location. Boat trip to Lamanai starts at the hotel! - Very quiet place (hardly no tourists when we were there)
Lovely situated at the lake
Very responsive staff
Nice restaurant with good food
- Emil (8/5): Very good - Nice location at the lake. Close to Orange Walk and toll bridge. Good point to start the trip to Lamanai. Restaurant is fine. Good brekfast options. Equipment is quite used. Very slow service during the brekfast.
- Michael (5/5): Very uncomfortable stay! - Location is great, right along the highway. Their communication is great. Forewarned about the restaurant being closed so I could prepare and bring food. The beds were so uncomfortable, just a step up from sleeping on the floor! The restaurant was closed so no option for food and drinks. The shower knobs was difficult to navigate and shut off. The entire knob turned both directions making it difficult to shut it off.
- Caroline (9/5): Comfortable and convenient for the river trip - Right on the lake, and great option to be picked up straight for the boat tour to Lamanai. The staff helped us organize the tour and it was easy and very enjoyable. The room is big, with a huge bed and a terrace overlooking the river. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty and served on the outside deck. There is quite a smell coming from the lake so you can’t leave the window open. The bathroom is a bit cramped considering the huge size of the room. The decks roof could be extended for the option to sit closer to the water (although maybe they do that because of the smell). The one person working there at night seemed a bit overwhelmed doing everything by herself.
- Michael (9/5): Great to get tour of Lamanai. - View over the water from balcony. Great friendly staff. A little isolated
- Jeffrey (10/5): The perfect beginning to our vacation in Belize. - We loved everyone we came in touch with, especially our server, Reina. Plus, Rico, our driver and Abdeil in the office and , Nathaniel. Their service was beyond spectacular. They actually bought and smoked a fish for us at our special request. We also had a great river tour. Nothing!
- Decolores (10/5): Highly recommended this lodging! - Everything very nice and enjoyable. Good AC, water pressure, smart TV. Lovely location on a lake. Restaurant and bar on site. Food and drink good and reasonably priced.Staff friendly and accommodating. Laundry service available. There is nothing I didn’t like.
- Candice (9/5): Superb -
- Paula (10/5): Perfect spot to enjoy the Orange Walk area - Beautiful setting with a balcony on the river! Beds were clean, comfortable and roomy and service was excellent. The setting was perfect to get to do day trips and taking the boat to Lamanai ruins. Restaurant right on the river and convenient Nate was very helpful and friendly Nothing
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cannon (10/5): Beautiful hotel on a beautiful lake. - It was good and cost 8.50 usd Liked everything
- Emma (8/5): Great location, great value. - The location on the lake is excellent. You can see crocodiles from your room. If you are doing a Lamanai river boat tour they will come and pick you up from the hotel jetty on the lake.
The Deck, although a separate restaurant (you could not bill back to your room) it was right next door and offered excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very good prices for the location. You would ideally need a car to stay here as a few miles out from Orange Walk. It was very warm and although you were on a lake you could not go in it due to the crocs. After a day sightseeing it would be good to have a refreshing dip.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jim (10/5): This place is AMAZING…Why stay anywhere else! - This is a hidden gem and if you’re in the Orange Walk area this is a MUST stay. My room was on the lake and overlooked the water. The staff was extremely attentive and Nate took care of everything. He set up an incredible river tour to the Lamanai Mayan ruins and arranged for transport to where I needed to go. Reina at the bar is beyond great and makes the most amazing margaritas you’ll ever have! And you can’t forget Mr. Wiggles, the little dog that runs the show. When I got there he was wearing a Super Man cape. Nothing really. The location is a bit isolated but the resort has everything you’d need.
- Beverly (8/5): Very good - We loved the deck and view of the pretty lagoon from our room . We also enjoyed the patio area for Drinks and breakfast Bathroom a bit small
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location right on the Lamanai River. Quiet and peaceful stay, clean room w/balcony. I loved it.
- Kristinn (10/5): Exceptional - Sitting on the deck and enjoying the beauty of nature
Pick up by boat to Lamanai archeological reserve was also a wonderful examination of the local flora and fauna.
- Erika (10/5): It was fantastic - It was a beautiful location , nice terrace on the river. We spend a fantastic time there I loved everithing
- Myron (9/5): Overall enjoyed the stay. - The location was great for where the event was that brought us to town. Nice quiet place with the lake right there. I thought the bathrooms could use an upgrade. They are small especially the showers. Showers could have doors so as not to get water all over the floor.
- Jennifer (7/5): Clean, comfortable beds and convenient location -
- Lorieanne (7/5): Good -
- Nathan (9/5): Overall a great place to stay. - Quiet, out of the way and peaceful. Beautiful setting overlooking the water. Staff was amazing. Had some minor issues, but nothing that isn’t common when traveling in Belize. Limited hot water, older mattresses that aren’t the most comfortable.
- Kelly (9/5): Superb -
- Denis (7/5): Good enough for short stay - Friendly staff, excellent medium price restaurant, view of the lake Not as clean as we expected, dirty balcony, bathroom sub-par for the price of the room, noisy considering main Northern Highway is right in front of the hotel
