Guest Reviews
- Gabriela (8/5): Ein angenehmer Aufenthslt - Hübsche kleine Wohning in guter und ruhiger Lage
- Ioanna (9/5): -
- Vidal (9/5): - Todo en general muy bien La puerta al nos costó de abrir
- Vedika (8/5): -
- Janhavi (8/5): great - the house there was no clothes hanging stand, and the main door was difficult to open
- Julia (8/5): Very good - It was a beautiful apartment and had everything I needed. Location was great. It was super clean and had all the facilities needed. Instructions were very clear and the host was very responsive. Access is super easy. The apartment is very private given the separate entrance. Would stay again if the host makes sure the apartment is actually heated - see below. I came in the middle of the night and had problems with the key lock, so it took me forever to get in (which was probably my fault because I didn't understand that you had to push two buttons simultaneously to open the key box). However, the electricity was off and it was freezing cold (13.5 C) with no warm water and it took a whole day to heat up. Even though the instructions to turn on electricity and heating were very clear, arriving in a cold apartment with no warm water during the winter time is frustrating. In addition, it is a bit loud. You hear every step of the neighbors upstairs as if they were walking around in your apartment. But this is a common phenomenon in London, so it isn't really a disadvantage of this apartment specifically.
- Verena (10/5): Exceptional - very lovely place to stay. We will be happy to come again.
- Syed (7/5): Good - We stayed there for 3 nights. It was a comfortable stay. Key collection and return. You have to collect it from a store which is about 15-20 mins walk from the property.
- Susan (9/5): Very relaxing - Our stay was wonderful. Extremely comfortable to stay in this spacious abode. Street level was a bonus. Hopefully will use again if back in London.
- André (9/5): Had a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended for anyone traveling to London. -
- Artiz (1/5): Unacceptable - Not many things were to like from this property. Location for me as it was close to my daughters apparentment. The key collection process was a disaster. The code they gave us was incorrect. The 24/7 place from where the key had to be collected had a very rude person behind the counter. We had to wait for 30 mins outside the 24/7 shop until we got a new code.
It is difficult to get a hold from the property.
The property was not cleaned. The coffee machine had coffee in it. The cupboard had open food. A lamp was broken in the bedroom and kitchen. There were spiders in the house and spider webs everywhere.
The carpets had stains. The glasses had limescale on them. Rubbish bin was broken and rubbish left in the outside patio from pervious tenants.
The conservatory smelled like damp, full of dust. Not possible to sleep there. Sofa cover was not cleaned.
Not up to standards in general but listen to the best thing now…. They have deducted 80£ from the 500£ deposit we placed before entering the property!!!!!!
I never raise any complaints although I should, I wanted move on from a bad booking.com experience but now that I have understood that they have taken 80£ put of the deposit for supposedly breaking the rubbish bin and supposedly leaving a stain in the carpet which is a terrible lie, … I HAD ENOUGH!
Also, they haven’t reached out to me to inform, I had to lean this by calling booking and chasing for answers form the property…
I trust booking never to work with this property again as it is clear that they wish to take money out of the forced deposits.
- Susan (7/5): Satisfactory - Cosy feel. Middle door would not lock. A few things broken (hand towel rack in bathroom), (globe in light fitting over bedhead would not screw in properly). No instructions on how to use the cooktop/stove. No tea towels provided to wipe up clean dishes. The bed was only a double or a very small queen.
- Opuwari (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (7/5): A pleasant stay. - The property was lovely and warm and the bed was comfortable.
The location was great as it was close to my daughter’s apartment who I was visiting.
The communication from the host was excellent.
It was great a hairdryer had been purchased as it was noted in previous comments there wasn’t one.
I was wary about paying the £500 damage deposit but this was refunded in full a couple of days after I left. The videos were very helpful but I still had trouble unlocking/locking the front door at times.
It would have been helpful to have a tea towel and dishcloth.
I found the planes woke me up early and could clearly hear the neighbours above walking round, but I am a light sleeper so this may not be a problem for others.
A light in the kitchen needs repairing and the other room is not usable because of the smell.
- Oxana28 (7/5): Good - I liked the Aga in the kitchen. And the coffee machine. It's a plus that there's a washing machine as well. The bathroom is small but nice. I liked the folding doors in between the bedroom and the living room. I liked the bedding, comfy and warm. There are many kitchen utensils which come in handy. I had to collect the keys from a tiny shop. The shop assistant was very rude to me. He said if I don't leave the shop with my luggage (I was reading a message from Booking.com for 2 sec!) he will refuse to give me the keys for the flat.
The windows are very dirty and single glazed so I could hear people talking on the street. The lights in the kitchen/dining area are not very efficient. The double bed is very small.
The television's remote control is not working. The battery was so old in it and they exploded inside so we couldn't use the tele at all.
It's difficult to open the gate as it is old and rusty.
There is a strange smell in the conservatory (before opening the main door) and two of the windows are missing.
No kitchen towel or wooden spoon.
Communication with the host is very slow going.
The "dining table" is very low, quite uncomfortable to eat there.
- Rasmus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (6/5): Pleasant - The place was lovely quirky and cute The check in was a shambles
- Stephen (5/5): Passable -
- Prue (8/5): Good - luckily we are very relaxed and we’re happy to use the kitchen sink to clean our teeth! - Good location The key in the door was very difficult to use. Also the plug in the bathroom basin got stuck on the first use. The agents were impossible to contact. I had to email them and no one came to fix it during our stay, so we had to use the kitchen sink. If we had been locked out, because of the key, we would not have been able to stay there and we couldn’t find an emergency number for the agent. I also didn’t like the £500.00 deposit. We have never needed to do this before.
- Orde (8/5): A very nice flat in Battersea - The flat was clean and comfortable, nicely decorated and charming. The location is excellent and close to rail stations and bus stops, shops for groceries, restaurants, and a pub. It is also close to a lovely jogging/walking route and parks in a safe area of the city. The flat is suitably equipped with heated towel rails, a great coffee machine, and the rest of the basics in the kitchen for a homely stay in London. Notably, the flat is in a quiet residential area, and you get a good night's rest on a decent bed. The verandah gives one extra space, and the flat was well heated inside. The shower is excellent with plenty of hot water. All round, a jolly good, homely flat to use as an affordable base for exploring London. No major dislikes, just suggested improvements. A dish towel and kitchen swab/cloth plus a couple of extra mugs would have been handy. The kettle was very basic but could easily be upgraded. A laminated set of instructions for using the microwave oven placed in the kitchen would be useful.
