• Jakob (8/5): - An absolute gem in the heart of Cairo – Highly Recommended! Excellent stay! This place is perfectly located right in the vibrant center of downtown Cairo, just a very short walk from the museum. The location really couldn't be better if you want to explore the real city. The staff is absolutely fantastic and available 24/7, which is super convenient. I was genuinely impressed by their proper Egyptian hospitality. Unlike in some touristy areas, nobody harassed me for tips here; they were just incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with anything I needed. The room itself exceeded my expectations. It was spotlessly clean – and most importantly, the bed was super comfortable with fresh, clean sheets. Coming back to a great bed and a reliable hot shower after a long day of sightseeing was exactly what I needed. Plus, waking up to such a fantastic view really elevated the whole experience. I felt completely safe during my entire stay, both inside the hotel and walking around the neighborhood. My absolute favorite feature was the little balcony overlooking the bustling streets below. It’s the perfect spot to sit and take in the local vibe. Yes, it is a bit noisy with all the traffic, but hey, that's Cairo! It's the heartbeat of the city, and you get used to it very quickly. Lastly, a tip for future travelers: If you are debating whether to book a place in Giza or downtown, definitely stay in downtown! Giza is great for a day trip to see the Pyramids, but it's really not worth staying there. Downtown Cairo has so much more to offer in terms of cafes, restaurants, and culture. You can easily just take an Uber everywhere for a very reasonable price. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Egypt and would book it again without hesitation!

• Valdir (10/5): Exc custo x benefício - Gostei muito de me hospedar no Tahrir, excelente localização no centro do Cairo, quarto muito limpo de confortável. Banheiro muito bom e um atendimento muito especial dos funcionários da recepção. Como o prédio é numa área central e preservada pela área externa e na entrada do prédio você irá estranhar, mas ao entrar no hotel que fica no 2° andar você ver como a hospedagem é boa. Recomendo Gostei de tudo.

• magic (6/5): Pension am Tahrir Platz - Hat mit einem Hotel nichts zu tun. Ist eher eine Pension über mehrere Etagen eines Wohnhauses. Zimmer sind ok mit guter Ausstattung. Ich habe das Hotel gewählt, weil ich am nächsten Morgen einen Bus erwischen wollte und die Haltestelle nebenan war. Sehr laute Straße. Ohrenstöpsel dringend empfohlen. Keinerlei Außenwerbung oder Hinweisschildern. Wenn man vor dem Gebäude steht, kommt einen nicht die Idee, dass in dem Haus ein Hotel existiert. Sehr geschönte Fotos. Mein Zimmer sah nicht so aus wie auf den Fotos. In der Dusche läuft das Wasser nicht ab. Kein Schrank. Für das Gebotene viel zu teuer.

You’re greeted with hibiscus tea and my room was beautiful with high ceilings, a balcony overlooking the museum - clean - perfect place to watch Cairo traffic 😂 and close to downtown. Not the easiest to find as hotel is 2nd floor and up and there’s no sign on the ground floor at the street. Old historic building with beautiful architecture, a bit run down - rooms were excellent though. Friendly staff.

Not so much noise despite being in the middle of Cairo. Perfect for a short stay. Hot water ran out quickly and there was not much direction on how to get to the hotel in the building. There wasn’t any signage on which floor the hotel is so you just have to guess.

• Ana Paula (10/5): Ótimo custo-benefício, melhor localização, muitos quartos tem vista para o museu do cairo - Atendimento dos funcionários, muito simpáticos e prestativos, me ajudaram com informações locais e turísticas, fechei transfer com eles e foi tudo bem, me senti super segura, realmente ao lado do museu egípcio do cairo (o antigo da praça tarhir) pude andar bastante pela região a pé, perto de tudo, museu, universidade americana no Cairo (com uma ótima livraria), comércio aberta até tarde da noite, lojas de souvenires na mesma rua, cafés, restaurantes, torre do Cairo, ponte qasr el nile, perto do Nilo também (distância a pé), metrô. Viajei sozinha e foi tudo ótimo Água quente em todas as torneiras Tem elevador Só não provei o café da manhã pq saia cedo todos os dias do chegava a noite para dormir então esse ponto não posso avaliar.

• VASILIKI (6/5): - The room was below average and definitely not a suite. It was extremely noisy as there was no proper window, only shutters. The bathroom had no ventilation and no place to hang towels. The staff were very young and inexperienced, resulting in delays during check-in and an unnecessary room inspection at check-out. They try to impress with small things like offering a hairdryer and iron, but the basics are missing. The photos are far from reality, as some furniture shown was missing from our room.

We had noise cancelling earplugs and ear defenders Couple of things to highlight: The place is at the centre but was a bit tricky to find at night, I would suggest to be careful about this. As the lift did not work, we had to take stairs to the fourth floor. The manager was quite helpful and took our luggage. We were given the hair dryer which was broken already. However, they asked us to pay during check out. Despite clarifying, they kept on insisting for it. Finally, the manager clarified and apologised.

• June Patricia (2/5): The Worst Hotel I've Ever Stayed In! - Absolutely nothing about this hotel was "likeable" The photograph looks lovely. The reality is anything but! The "entrance" was unmarked and, once through the door, it resembled a bomb site. Paint and plaster peeling, mouldy, filthy. Steep staircase, filthy! The lift was disgusting, filthy, and impossible to understand how to use. The room was also filthy, especially the toilet area. The balcony felt unsafe and it too was filthy. Bannister rotted, railings rusty. Our breakfast on day 2 never arrived. "Filthy" covers the whole hotel! Checked out a day early!!!

Özellikle genç resepsiyon görevlisi Mohra'yı hiç unutamayız. Her dediğimizi fazlasıyla yaptılar. Mohra, çok sempatik ve çok ilgili bir personel. Keza yanındaki uzun boylu kapalı bayan. Çok Candan davrandılar. Türk Kahvemizi hiç eksik etmediler. Otelden çıkış yaptık. Çantalarımıza sahip çıktılar. Olumsuz hiç bir şeye rastlamadık. Banyo ve oda temizdi. Kahvaltıyı çok beğendik.Hergün ücretsiz suyumuz geldi. Kahire'nin aşırı trafik gürültüsü var. Tabi hangi otele gidersek gidelim bu gürültü eksik olmayacak. Her araç korna ile ilerliyor. Korna çalmayan araç yok gibi. Otele ilk girdiğimizde birinci kat çok itici geldi. Sanki varoşların oteline giriyormuş gibi hissettiriyor. Lakin ikinci kat girişi oldukça iyiydi. Lobi ise gayet güzel tasarlanmış.. Kahvaltı yaparken masa Küçük ve dar idi. Koltuk yerine tabure konmuştu. Bunu görevlilere aktardım. Bir kitap gazete okumak için odada koltuk şart dedim. Banyo da ise sabun lif koymak için bir raf olması lazım olduğunu bizzat yerinde anlattım. Gösterdim. Derhal dediler.
• George (8/5): Acceptabil - Locatia este foarte buna,chiar vis a vis de Muzeul Egiptean din Cairo,aproape de multe restaurante. Fiind la strada principala se aude un zgomot infernal de la claxoanele masinilor care circula,insa stiam lucrul acesta de data trecuta cand am fost cazati aici. Baia din camera noastra necesita ceva imbunatatiri. Pe balcon era destul de invechit totul.

• Ami (7/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful with the check in and organising us a taxi for the airport. Central location. The room was nice and spacious. Our room faced the road so it was VERY loud even with very good ear plugs. The noise from the traffic was unbearable. No fault of the accommodation but maybe a thicker glass in the windows would be helpful. Our bed was slightly broken on the side so it was slanting down and wasn’t super comfortable.

• Oksana (10/5): Понравилось все. - Центр. Чистый номер, чистое постельное белье. В ванной комнате гель для рук, душа и шампунь. 2 бутылки воды. WiFi бесплатный. Оплатить можно наличкой (у нас были евро). Можно картой, но тогда добавляется 3%. На ресепшен нам предложили беруши. Я рекомендую этот отель. Очень сложно найти вход в отель. Руководство отеля, повесте табличку на входе в подъезд, пожалуйста! Ну и конечно надо быть готовым, что с улицы нескончаемый шум. Нам это не мешало, наоборот прикольно. Но любителям тишины точно не сюда.
• Benedito (9/5): Localização e custo-benefício ótimos no Cairo - A localização e a equipe, sempre disposta a ajudar, são ótimas. Além disso, o café servido no quarto e o wi-fi eram muito bons. O serviço de transfer do aeroporto para o hotel funcionou perfeitamente. O hotel, que está em um segundo andar de um prédio, possui ótimas instalações e limpeza. Entretanto, o prédio onde o hotel está localizado é um pouco sujo, podedo ser melhorado.
• David (6/5): Pleasant, the room was clean, cleaned daily and staff were very nice - Central downtown location, was quick to get anywhere in the city Shower size, was a quarter of standard shower, shower flooded as drainage was not level. Being a tall bloke, water was everywhere. shower handle would not stay in position. Requested a balcony, it was not clean at all. Doors on balcony did not close properly, so all the street noise was contact int eh room from cars using horns, (No fault to the business), possibly need to look fixing doors so stop some of the sounds.

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal Die wanne/whirlpool hatte einen großen Riß.Da der Einsatz aus Kunststoff war und der riß bei jeder Bewegung auseinander ging bestand die Gefahr das man sich den Fuß quetscht. • Audrey (8/5): Pleasant stay at Tahrir Plaza Suites - The location is walking distance to a lot of restaurant such as the famous Koshary place Abou Tarek. We felt safe around the area. The room was really charming and the receptionisr named Dora stood out. She’s very friendly and welcoming and made our stay really comfortable. The towels and the pillows can be better. It’s a bit noisy since it is right in Tahrir square. If you are a light sleeper, maybe consider that first before booking this.

• Hélène (5/5): - L'hôtel est situé dans le centre du Caire ce qui est pratique. Le personnel était très aimable. Les Petit déjeuner orientale et occidentale étaient très bon. Le sol en parquet était collant et donnait le dessous des pieds noir. Le reste de la chambre était très propre. Le bruit de la circulation dehors était insupportable. Même si le personnel nous a fourni des boules quies. L'hôtel est situé devant le plus gros échangeur routier du Caire. Rien qu'en changeant les fenêtres qui ne se ferment pas ça changerait tout.
