Guest Reviews
- Lisa (10/5): Great location, great apartment! - We absolutely loved the apartment, the location in the jewish neighbourhood, which is the safest in town. It was nice and quiet, the apartment well equipped, pretty, very clean and matched our needs. There are lots of restaurants nearby, a great grocery shop called PAM 2 minutes away that has everything you need. We walked to all the sight seeing places. Nothing is far. The communication with Francesca went really well and it was easy to get access to the apartment. Thank you!

- Veronika (8/5): Tolle zentrale Wohnung - Super Lage!

- lotfi (7/5): Bon sejour, pratique , a ameliorer - L’emplacement extra . Déplacements bruyants a l’étage

- Gerald (4/5): Great location,.. but condition and quality of furnishing and cleanliness leaves much to be desired. An u friendly host - Location is fantastic and amidst the ruins of Ancient Greek temples and arenas. The distance one has to walk with your luggage to the property and the 4 flights of stairs you have to carry your luggage up.
I suggest property should highlight this factor, so that older travellers are aware of this issue.
Host was quite unfriendly. The sofa is shaky and the rest of the furniture in the apartment are very flimsy. The loft floorboards creak very loudly, and there is only one shower.
The water container of the coffee maker is slimy, the water had been left for some days. The inside of the kettle boiler is badly scaled with lime.
The staircase to the loft is a dangerous hazard and I believe the edges of the steps have been taped temporarily with some plastic material in an effort or hope that the damage to your head will not be too severe.
I have never written a bad review. This is my first and hopefully my last.

- Luise (10/5): - We loved the modern style. It was well equipped and we loved using the kitchen for cooking. Also there’s a little supermarket around the corner. We are tall people and upstairs you have to be cautious with your heads.
- Liz.Riveron (9/5): - The location was absolutely amazing and the apartment had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The shower needs a bit of maintenance, the door didnt close properly and the pressure was very low.
Superbe
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sonam (10/5): Modern Roman apartment in an ancient Roman ruin. - Ancient Roman ruins right at our doorstep. The building itself falls within the Roman premises! Having a washing machine and dryer was a huge plus point. Our host, Francesca led us through the entire check in process, and was so helpful and patient. The inevitable flight of stairs to the top but worth it.
- Nikolay (10/5): perfect place to stay - perfect apartment in the center of the old town very quiet , very comfortable beds, big living , nice kitchen
- Margaret (10/5): I would highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to rebook if I return to Rome. - The apartment exceeded our expectations, it had everything that we needed and more.
Francesca our host was super responsive to our questions.
- Vojko (5/5): Passable -
- Andrzej (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful apartament in great location at the city center. Close to the city most recognizable locations. The apartment is large, spacious and very comfortable. The large space on the ground floor of the apartment with a kitchenette and toilet and the mezzanine with two bedrooms and a bathroom made our stay with two children completely relaxing and cozy Nothing, for me it was just great. I could have a flat like that for my own :D
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Pip (9/5): Amazing apartment in a stunning part of Rome! - Stylishly decorated, unique and clean. Exceedingly comfortable beds and great communication with host.
Wow what a location as well- straight out the front door into archeological ruins and conveniently located for almost all the major sites in Rome. There were a couple of niggles but nothing that impacted on our stay.
- Alison (10/5): Wonderful - A true Roman experience Designed with style
- Annelies (9/5): Dream stay in Rome! - A dream location and a wonderfull equiped lovely decorated appartement My husband and our sons are are quite tall, they had to mind their heads
- Kathryn (9/5): Great spot for a memorable stay in Rome. - Location was amazing. Walking distance to everything. Great restaurants steps away. Felt like walking back in time every time coming and going from the apartment. Very quiet. Very clean
Easy check in…Great stay! The couch pillows weren’t supported for leaning back. The upstairs bedrooms have lower ceilings so taller people will have to duck in spots.
- Kirsty (10/5): This is the perfect place to stay in Rome, you’ll want to stay here forever! - We were blown away by the gorgeous apartment, it far exceeded our expectations. It could not have been more perfect; the location (by ancient ruins), the beautiful interior decor and the comfortable beds. Nothing at all!
- Ale (10/5): Hands down the best place to stay in Rome. - Hands down the best place to stay in Rome.
In the very heart, but without the hustle and buste. All the privacy and facilities one might desire. Beautiful apartment with original wooden ceiling, yet so light vs typical untreated wood.
I could write odds, but just look at the photos.
Can't see myself staying anywhere else!
Special appreciation for the communication with the host 🤍
*I understand the concerns in the previous reviews, but as Italian saying goes, "Chi cerca - trova". One can either concentrate on noting everything they'd prefer differently (as if they're buying the place), or just enjoy. I truly reccomend the second - both indoors and outside are gorgeous and convenient. Godetevi!
*It is a couple of flights of stairs up.
*Tall people, you might need to pay attention in two spots. But nothing you're not used to already while travelling. I wish there were glasses for water, wine and champagne.
(Cos the kitchen is well equipped and asks for a home cooked meal. There are coffee and tea cups, though.)
- Rachel (4/5): Great location, you can probably find a more comfortable place to stay with a more hospitable host. - The location is great, if you like staying in the Ghetto, which we do. There are great restaurants nearby, it's pretty central to all the top sites in Rome, and right across the river from all the Trastevere night life and cute cafes and shops. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was equipped with dishes, although there weren't even basics like olive oil and vinegar, so we had to buy everything. The building is clean, historic, and beautiful. You step right outside into the ruins and history. The apartment also has a washing machine and a dryer, which is really rare in Europe and proved to be quite helpful to us. The first thing you should know about this apartment is that it is not child friendly at all. The upstairs includes a bedroom and a gallery overlooking the living room with just a couple of low bars that could be quite dangerous for small or rambunctious children who could easily fall down to the living room.
The living room is comprised of some really odd furniture where the backs of the couch were just pillows sitting on the couch, unattached. This means that if you try and lean back, the pillows fall off and you have no support - really uncomfortable.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one which has a door, and one that doesn't - the room is wide open so anyone staying in the room with the door can see into the other bedroom when they go up and down the stairs. We were traveling with another couple, so this was a bit awkward as one couple didn't have privacy.
The main issue we had was with noise. Surprisingly, the noise wasn't coming from outside, since the windows were really excellent at keeping out noise, but internally - the floor squeaks and groans with every step when people walk on it, and the one bedroom door screamed each time it was opened or closed. We wrote to the host to see if someone could come and spray the door with oil to fix the squeaking, and got this response:
"I think it’s a problem of the last few days because I went home last week and this problem wasn’t there. I would suggest you buy a spray yourself and try to solve the problem if you can’t sleep, alternatively don’t close the door at night."
Not exactly the helpful response I was hoping for. She said the cleaning company would look into it after we left, but that wasn't going to help us, and when I asked if there was any oil spray in the apartment, I got this: "No!"
The last night we were there the air conditioner in the bedroom started to drip on the floor.
- Anduela (10/5): Everything was perfect! - Comfortable for 4 persons
Location is near attractions
Good communication with owner
Easy self check in
- Aiden (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing, the apartment situated amongst some ancient ruins was really cool ! We walked to most attractions pantheon, Colosseum, wishing fountain (sorry don't know the exact names ). Very modern furniture and amenities cooking appliances, laundry, beds, bathrooms, ect . Host was very helpful and informative . Would stay again if I was ever in Rome !
- Cuci (10/5): Exceptional -
- Uki (1/5): Proprietor was rude and offensive throughout my stay. - Upon arrival the proprietor demanded I check out at 7am on the day of my departure. My booking said 10am so I refused, which was not well received. The apartment’s door doesn’t have the kind of smart lock used by other rentals to prevent you from locking yourself out, and one night after dinner I realized I had left the keys inside. I messaged the proprietor but they didn’t respond, so I had to spend a sleepless night outside. The proprietor finally responded at 7am to say they would drop by in the afternoon after work. I was dumbfounded and explained that, after being locked out all night, I could not continue waiting until the end of their work day. I offered to go pick up the spare set of keys. They reiterated they didn’t have time to deal with me. After much insistence they finally gave me an address to pick up the keys. The taxi there and back cost me €50. The propietor, far from swiftly providing the means to regain access to the apartment, reacted with annoyance and made me feel I was wasting their time. The water pressure in the shower was minimal and the hot water cut off at about 2-3 minutes during all my stay. A message asking if this was normal was met with more impatient, dismissive responses. The propietor had already reacted angrily when, because of special needs, I asked if the advertised second floor apartment could not for all practical purposes be considered a fourth floor by a foreigner, which turned out to be the case. Some Italian buildings don’t number “in-between” floors, even when they have full-height apartments in them, as in this building. The literal translation for “secondo piano” is “second floor” but the true translation in such buildings is “fourth floor” as you have to go up four full flights of stairs with apartments on all four floors. Bear in mind if you are bringing luggage or are physically challenged.
