Guest Reviews
- Scott (9/5): Great spot to break the trip on the way to Perth - Quiet location just off the main road. Close walk to local pub which had great meals. Breakfast was provided by way of cereal which was really appreciated and allowed us to get going early. Only thing to be aware of the shower and toilet come off one of the bedrooms. Means you will need to enter that room in middle of the night if you have to go!

- Muhammad Fariz (10/5): We will come again if we are going for another road trip passing the town. - Homme towels and robes, clean, well-stocked breakfast, comfortable Bathroom entrance, pedestrian peeking through
- Aad (10/5): Overall very good experience. Great communication by the owner. - Comfortable rooms, beds were comfortable. Clean and in quiet location away from the train and highway.
- Phillippa (8/5): Absolutely loved our very short stay, thoroughly enjoyed the township, and its incredible history - It was lovely, Cereal, yoghurt and fruit - this was unexpected, but very grateful as we had a very early start to the day. ANZAC Ceremony, then onto Parkrun, back to the property to pack up quickly to catch the Prospector back to Perth. Noisy people outside on the street late into the evening.
- Algera (10/5): -
- Rolf (8/5): -
- Christopher (9/5): Comfortable character apartment right in the centre of town - Character, location furnishings. Very comfortable and very clean. Had everything we needed for our stay. Would stay again Creaky floorboards, but that goes with the property so it’s not really something to complain about. Having the bathroom inside one of the bedrooms was a little awkward, but again that’s how it’s built
- Fox (8/5): Old but good, clean and tidy. Great location - It was old, but clean and tidy shower room basin sink loose.
Toilet shoehorned into shower room, had to sit forward on toilet as toilet lid too far forward.
light switches were not in the correct place - old building.
No USB charge points.
Weather was windy, the noise was very loud, unable to sleep
- Guenter (9/5): - Very centrally located, rooms were nice and cosy. We received an email before check in with the door code - all good. The bathroom was tiny and for 4 people challenging to navigate.
- Glenn (10/5): Accommodation gem in Merredin that adds interest and comfort to your visit. - This historic property is full of character and was a lovely alternative to motel accommodation. There were some very thoughtful additional touches such as a selection of breakfast cereals, milk, water bottles, etc. The linen was above standard with large fluffy bath towels and crisp white sheets on the very comfortable bed. The large comfortable sofa was an added bonus. Nil
- Isabelle (6/5): - I cannot comment on the staff as it was all arranged online and I never saw anyone.
It was clean, tidy and a convenient stopover on our trip. Continental breakfast was included. There was only one bathroom which was en-suite to the main bedroom. This meant the other couple with us has to come into our room to use the facilities. Not very convenient
- Marie (10/5): - Perfect location, near pub to grab food and attractions.
- sharon (7/5): -
- Christopher (9/5): Very nice. Stayed overnight. - Large, spacious rooms. Easy to access. Large windows and high ceilings. Attractive building and decor. Queen sized beds would be better.
- jason (10/5): -
- jacques (8/5): - l'appartement est bien, la salle de bain est assez petite, par contre l'appartement est très cher
- RICHARD (9/5): Nice place to stay if passing through. - A sympathetically converted property.
Plenty of room! All ok
- Cassandra (7/5): -
- Wilson (9/5): Charming stay - Gorgeous old high ceilinged home. Couldn't turn off verandah light which made 2 bedrooms very bright for sleeping.
- McKenna (8/5): -
- Lesley (10/5): I wish that we had booked two nights instead of just one. It was a really charming place. -
- Lisa (9/5): One of the nicest apartments we have had the pleasure to stay at. Don’t stay anywhere else in Merredin, this apartment is - Gorgeous apartment. So comfortable and within walking distance to the shops , restaurants etc. It was so lovely to have two separate bedrooms as my husband snores so 3 1/2 weeks of travelling and staying in the same room/ bed was starting to drive me nuts! The gardens at the back which you can assess are beautiful too. We didn’t get to do that much at Merredin as we were only there for one night as a stop over while on our way back to Fremantle. Nothing we didn’t like with the apartment although the floor boards gave me away whilst trying to tip toe to the bathroom at night. A small price to pay for staying in such a beautifully restored apartment.
- Léa (7/5): Nice stay overall - Very confortables beds, nice decoration No real kitchen :(
- Andreas (6/5): -
- alex (4/5): Unsatisfactory for 4 adults. - The property was clean and well presented. The facilities did not suit our group of 4 senior adults as the toilet and shower were inconveniently located in a small ensuite. There was also a problem with slow drainage.
- Peter (10/5): A very pleasant one night stay in a unique Australiana setting. - Lovely iconic 2 bedroom apartment, spacious and beautifully maintained. 👍All good
- Helen (6/5): -
- Christian (8/5): -
- Graham (9/5): -
- Tricia (7/5): This suite is sadly let down by its ensuite. - Lovely comfortable bed. Good location. Interesting old building. Some history & info about room usage would have been good. Small toilet, very cramped ensuite, shower curtain
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Pauline (7/5): 1/2 way stay from Kalgoorlie to Perth - Spacious accomodation in Merredin. Bit cool on arrival.
- Wendy (8/5): - nice surprise having fruit and cereal TV remote
- Michelle (8/5): Period property that is ideal for a short stay - Central location in town with restaurants and pubs in easy walking distance The tiny bathroom is a puzzle given the size of the property
- Straya 4 (8/5): Merredin stay - The location was close to the heart of Merredin with an easy walk to the main street. The beds were very comfortable. The Treasury was lovely and the interior was unique with character and charm. Not much not to like. Our stopover was for a night only.
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful heritage building lovingly restored
- Elizabeth (9/5): The Merridan Treasury - The Merredin Treasury is a Gem. Lovely stay overnight in such an historical site. Lovely set up and comfortable beds. Really nice town too.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (8/5): Just acceptable - Interesting home. Converted old bank house The only bathroom is in the bedroom so other guests must disturb those if needed to use it. There is a need for a second separate toilet in the house or even outside
- Craig (8/5): Nice accommodation in a nice location - The suite was well laid out with good furnishing and beds in a lovely old building. Close to the main shopping areas. Enjoyed the breakfast supplies.
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Lois (10/5): Exceptional -
- Merrilee (7/5): Good -
- Carl (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (8/5): Merriden Treasury - The accommodation was clean, breakfast items were provided along with bottled water and milk. The bed was very comfy and there is plenty of space. The high ceilings kept the rooms cool. Nothing
- David (9/5): Like staying in old fashion comfort the way it should be. - Central location. Easy dealing with host. Value.
Great old building…. Best digs in Merriden. If I had to say anything. It’s great if you like to rise early… old fashioned blinds but no big deal.
