The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming from the very first day. I really appreciated how friendly and helpful everyone was — always ready to give advice and share great recommendations for places to visit, eat, and explore around the area. The house itself was very comfortable and well-equipped — the washing machine, and bathrooms were all clean and convenient to use. I also loved how the location was perfect, just a few steps away from a lively shopping street and the train station, which made getting around so easy.
• Benamin Ahmed (10/5): - Allen and Masae are kind hearted, were always ready to recommend good dining and sightseeing spots and overall incredibly supportive. They even spoke Japanese with me to improve my language skills. Jujo Shopping Street is a well connected and convenient base to explore Tokyo from. The shopping street itself is frequented by locals, so the prices are reasonable, compared to the more touristy areas of Tokyo. Everything great, no complaints.

• Leunis (10/5): Nothing short of amazing! - I had the greatest of times at Allen & Masae! They have such a lovely house, everything was spotless and I slept like a baby (which has not happened much in Japan tbh). Their greatest assests are 1: their hospitality. They make you feel right at home and are willing to help you with whatever need you have. Allen is one of the friendliest men I’ve ever met, such a lovely person. And 2: the location. Just as they described it’s just a 3-min walk from Jujo Station and right in Jujo’s shopping street. Food, 7/11, … you name it all right outside your door. Really, really enjoyed my stay here. Oh, as a bonus, they have a cute doggo as well (which did not like my very much, since she’s not fond of strangers in her house😅)
• Julien (8/5): Very good - For those unfamiliar with Tokyo area, this place is slightly distant from the centre (a couple of stations from the Yamanote line), but ideally located at the junction of two efficient train lines, that serve the west and east sides of Tokyo. So from there you can get essentially anywhere in Tokyo within 45 min. Moreover, the building is inside of a "shotengai", i.e. a shopping gallery. Last but not least, the host is extremely welcoming and attentive to the comfort of the guests. This is a guest house in a typical Tokyo building, and that means it can feel cramped at times, both inside and outside. So be warned if you are not used to Tokyo homes. At the moment the beds are very basic, thin and squeaky, but the host mentioned their intention of replacing them.
