• June (10/5): Beautiful location, spacious and comfortable accommodation - would highly recommend - This property is in a beautiful location with views across the water. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and clean with every amenity you could need. The host also accommodated a last minute additional night stay request and was very communicative and friendly. Would highly recommend. There was a slight smell from the water when showering

• donna (1/5): Unacceptable neighbor - The owner answered messages in a timely manner. We drove 12 hours were just there to get some sleep and hit the road again but literally as soon as our "up in age" dog and us got out of the car the neighbor was screaming threats at us about putting our dog in a leash because his 2 very large dogs were not, we hadnt gotten a chance yet to do anything before he was threatening us, his dogs rushed my partner while I was in the phone with the owner as we absolutely did not feel safe, the dogs trapped my 6 foot 5 -- 200 lb partner in the car nervous ti get out with them barking and growling. The neighbor continued to scream at us and his dogs for hours. The dogs then came at the 3 if us barking and growling. The neighbor continued fir hours. And the dogs barked at the bedroom window when we finally went to bed. We were going to just leave but it was by then it was after midnight and we needed to get some sleep. The owner did refund our stay which we appreciated. I certainly would not recommend this place. We did we feel safe as we did not know owner if the neighbor would be wandering in the yard as we were asked to let the owner know if we seen anyone previously.. The owner acknowledged this neighbor and his dogs have been a problem in the past I believe they need to have a disclaimer on the post as animals nor people are safe with that individual next door.
• nathalie (10/5): - We had such a wonderful stay. The house was spotless, cozy, and perfectly set right by the water. Everything we needed was on hand, from a well-equipped kitchen to comfortable bedrooms. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for peace, and nature!

• Laure (5/5): Déçus - L’emplacement est très beau L’endroit est totalement infesté de moustiques nous ne pouvions pas sortir de la maison. En arrivant nous avons été attaqué par les moustiques le temps de sortir nos valises de la voiture. L’eau du robinet est orange ne laver pas vos vêtements blancs ils seront orange en sortant du lave linge. C’est notre plus grande déception de notre séjour au Canada.

• Kim (10/5): The location and cleanliness was a perfect combination for my couple days of relaxation. - The location was great. Could walk to the beach. And it was a quick drive into Antigonish. The house was extremely clean and had everything I needed.
• Wenying (9/5): Fantastic view and very private. - Fantastic location, just facing the lake. Rustic but with electric appliances for your convenience. We had a walk on the lake shore. It ‘s a few minutes drive to the Pomquet Beach Provincial park. The owner is very thoughtful by sending us emails about the facilities and recommendations on restaurants nearby. We tried two and they were really nice. As we arrived late in the evening there were two big dogs of the previous landlord following our car into the property and watching us through the car windows, which was scary in the dark and remote area. But the owner was very helpful and told us that we did not need to be afraid as they would not attack. We stayed calm in the car for a while until the dogs left. It was an interesting experience though.

The view is stunning, beds are very comfy and everything I needed was on hand. I only had one night and wish I had more so I will definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night in December while visiting our son who studies at StFX University. This place is near Antigonish, but nestled on the waterfront in a little Acadian Community. We would definitely consider renting again for a future stay. Should be awesome in the summer time as well! A microwave would be an excellent addition.
