- Leanne (10/5): Grand old beautiful home - Beautiful grand house with everything you need Nothing
- Laura (7/5): Good - The house was beautiful! Spacious and clean. Owner was next door and we didn’t have much privacy.
- Josette (7/5): Good -
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Superb - Wonderful home and stay. Everything you could want to drop your bags and relax. It was great for our toddler, lots of toys to play with, and a high chair. Small inconvenience as we were not able to get the hot water working to the kitchen sink, which meant doing dishes in the laundry sink. It worked wonderfully everywhere else, though.
- Mary (6/5): Pleasant - The size of the house Not sufficient cooling on very hot nights
- Monique (8/5): Very good -
- Shoebridge (9/5): Hard to contact host on arrival . - Everything was provided which was great The property is for sale so may not be available in the future
- Jennifer (5/5): This is a beautiful property but unfortunately is a little run down. - It was a beautiful period home that could be so much more. The property had no oven and we had bought all the ingredients to make pizza's. It was a little shabby with spider webs, weeds in the garden and the bbq was dirty.
- Janine (9/5): Good family accomodation - Large house able to accommodate our mixed family group. Lots of character and had everything we needed. Very children friendly and lots of toys provided for them to play with. Owner able to assist after we didn’t receive our code from booking.com to get key.
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional. - The whole property was clean, huge, great facilities. We loved the showers. The host was so accommodating. Best stay we've had in a long time. The beds were a little firm and there were no fans or aircons in the rooms.
- Carla (7/5): Good -
- Angela (8/5): We stayed en route to our new home in Tasmania so it was our last night on the mainland. A lovely property, authenticity - Only stayed overnight but it is a beautiful place. Nothing not to like
- Kylie (8/5): Very good -
- Carly (8/5): Would definitely come back! A great house with everything you could need. - It is a lovely house that suited us perfectly for the night. Lots of beds and 2 large lounge areas and a decent kitchen. My only complaint is that it is a very cold house in winter. There were oil heaters in all rooms except one. The room that didn’t have the oil heater had an electric blanket but the air in the room was still very cold.
- Heather (9/5): Hosts were really determined to make our stay the best, and it was. - After a mess up due to Bookings.com the property suited us Nothing
- Loretta (10/5): Exceptional -

- Katherine (9/5): Superb - Review-
Lovely home, clean , comfortable beds. We had everything we needed. Julie was easy to communicate with.
- Scott (8/5): Very good -
- Revmna (5/5): Passable - Lovely old style and large home No oven, dishwasher, wardrobes (or even hanging racks) and air-conditioning only in one room, not bedrooms. Not all windows opened.
- Claire (6/5): Pleasant - Attractive, comfortable. Location - sulphuric smell very unpleasant. Also seemed dusty - window blinds and curtains broken and dusty. Odd to have no stove, one tea towel, no spare loo rolls.
- Felicity (7/5): Good - Just stayed for one night for a local wedding. Julie kindly let us check in early which was very convenient, and provided a travel cot for our baby. No issues, was a comfortable stay.
- Kara (8/5): Very good - Beautiful home with plenty of space, great for families. Great communication from host.
- Tatum (3/5): Poor - Nice host
Spacious
fireplace on a cold night -Old home needs a lot of renovation
- Was dirty especially in the bathrooms. Had hair on the floors & tiles were dirty. The whole house could do with a complete clean.
- Very cold at night despite having electric blankets on.
-Mosquitos in the house everywhere we had to use mosquito repellent!
-Despite giving notice to check in after 3 house still wasn’t ready when we got there. Host allowed us to check out late.
-House was a bit scary being so old
- Lei (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (10/5): Fabulous house for families, clean and comfy. - The house was fabulous! a great space for my family, although the house has been completely renovated we loved the old features that were retained and restored, amazing lead light windows and the beautiful high ceilings. We loved the wood fire and found ample wood stored on the verandah, Julie was very accomodating and instructed us on how to light the fire, our attempt was not the best we suggested an instruction sheet!. We were happy to find the chocolates ,bread and milk on arrival as some of us had driven a long way so a cuppa was much appreciated. Great pizza place 2 minutes down the road. Perfect location for our needs. The beds were comfy and the room heaters came in handy. The house was clean and fresh. Oh and the goats Angus and Joe were very cute, Lovely stay!
- Heather (1/5): False advertised. Old, cold building - It’s a very old home but it is large and has character I had an awful experience! The property was advertised as a 4 bedroom home on booking.com with no options to choose rooms. I use booking.com all the time and the advert appeared the same as all other 4 bedroom homes we have stayed in with access to all rooms.
When we arrived all the bedroom doors had padlocks on apart from one.
We had booked for 2 adults and 2 children, we have a toddler and a 3 month old. The 3 month old is awake every 2 hours at night so we wanted another room for our toddler so that we could put his travel cot in there and let him get some sleep.
Check in was 3pm and we arrived at 3:30pm. I called the owner and she told me that we had only paid for one bedroom and that additional rooms cost $200 each more. We didn’t have that money to spend and there was nowhere else my toddler could have slept so we left the property and told the owner that we couldn’t stay.
The owner called us at 8pm when we were already driving home with our kids sleeping in the car and told us that she was at work but that she would unlock a door for us once she had finished. Our children go to bed at 7:30pm and we were an hour away at this point so it really wasn’t much help.
The owner has since refused a refund as she has said it’s out fault for leaving. We were only there 15 mins and she didn’t call us and offer the room until 4 hours later.
Additionally, there were hairs all over the bathroom and no wood provided for the log fire whereas similar properties we have stayed at supply this. Definitely would not stay here again!
- Manikanta (8/5): Very good - Huge property with all amenities available, children would love it very old property.. bit scary., No central heating .. would be very cold in winters
- Susan (8/5): beautiful place - beautiful place it felt like our home
- Sonia (7/5): Spacious and comfortable. A house with charm - spacious No oven
- Kerry (7/5): overnight stay - large and sort of historic place Miskitos
- Ronan (8/5): Very good -
- Cheryl (7/5): Good - The location was walking distance to our event. Booking a 4 bedroom house and only 3 bedrooms were made available, but this was rectified.
- Ada (7/5): a relaxing trip - simple kitchen with no oven, stovetop and dishwasher
- Dan (9/5): Superb -
- Jarrod (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (10/5): Highly recommend - comfortable beds, spacious living areas
