Guest Reviews
- Kenton (10/5): Exceptional - Historic home, antique furniture quiet location
- John (8/5): A clean unit in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown. - The location is central and easy to get to downtown. The parking at the back was great. We appreciated the lights that come on when arriving at night. The gardens were very nice and well kept. The availability of extras like coffee, etc was very good. The streaming TV system was difficult to use and was really only for watching movies. Some of the living room furniture is uncomfortable (and unattractive).
- Gary (7/5): Expected more from the property - Spacious well appointed suite. This is a well appointed Heritage property which strives to provide 5 star accommodation. However to achieve this the hosts will have to improve their cleaning regime. When we arrived the trash bins were full as was the coffee machine filter. The shower had clumps of hair in the strainer, the table top was greasy & the property would generally benefit from a thorough cleaning.
- Alison (8/5): We were v comfortable in the apartment and v happy with the location - In a v convenient location near to shops pub cafes and buses.V well equipped kitchen and lots of complimentary spices coffee tea oil and toiletries.Toaster kettle microwave and large fridge.Easy to self cater.Comfortable bed and sitting area.Small bathroom but large shower which was easy to use.Two small closets for clothes and lots of drawers. Only slight disadvantage of being on the ground floor was that in the morning you could hear guests moving about upstairs. The property is old and so this was expected and not a big problem
- Goddard (10/5): Exceptional - Well appointed, great location, very comfortable for a family of 4. Easy check in, very clear instructions. Everything was great!
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ann (9/5): Beautiful , well equiped and comfortable apartment. Good value and convenient. - Lovely apartment in a lovely area. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Host was friendly and helpful. Convenient to get around once we found the bus service. A few problems communicating with the host, to pick up keys and when we had small problems with laundry and tv.
- Wilf (10/5): would repeat and/or recomend - good size room, nice furniture
- Kim (10/5): The perfect spot for exploring Victoria - Beautiful heritage building, sensitively decorated and furnished suite. Very well equipped with lots of original and thoughtful touches. Walking distance to Cook Street Village and Downtown Victoria.
- Pierre (9/5): Superb - You’ll miss nothing ! Holly is fantastic host, taking care of her visitors. She’s enthusiastic to talk about Vancouver Island and will provide you all good tips to enjoy your stay. Manor is beautifully retaurate and offer great comfort. thanks for your warm welcoming and attentions !
- Lara (10/5): We would stay here again and again. - It’s a beautiful heritage home, and the decorating was gorgeous. As with any heritage home, we could hear noises from the other guests as they walked in the wood floors or showered.
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely apartment, close to town center, would definitely recommend - Lovely apartment. Walking distance to the town center.. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Fully equipped kitchen. Easy parking on the street outside the property. We didn't have any issues at this property
- R18andr18 (8/5): Very good - The suite on the main floor (#1) is very large and comfortable. The bed is soft in a good way and the kitchen is stocked completely -- and I mean with everything you ever might need (scissors, wax paper, etc.). The floor is varnished wood and the furniture is antique-style but comfortable (the suite also has a modern couch). There's a dinner table and a writing desk (which may be de trop). The shower is excellent, although the toilet is a bit squeezed in, but not a problem). The neighbourhood is lovely, and it's very close to downtown, Cook Street Village, and Beacon Hill Park. The parking was free, at the back, and easy to use. The only issue is that you can hear people walking in the suites upstairs. It depends on the people, but I was there for 8 nights and it was in general a bit irritating (I more or less solved the problem by using my sound-cancelling headphones). Also, the TV reset itself and wasn't easy to figure out. I'm sure that Holly would have sorted that out, but I just used my laptop, the wi-fi being excellent.
