Guest Reviews

- Dyanne (9/5): Spacious and comfortable! - Nice size bedrooms, perfect for traveling with friends. 3 TVs in the unit (livingroom, and both bedrooms). Large bathrooms. Overall, very comfortable stay. Minor inconveniences - Not enough knives for cooking, some basic serving platters and utensils, the dryer was not great in the washing machine unit, kitchen overhead lights buzz, and construction work above our unit which started at 8 am every day.
- Guest (8/5): Very happy with apartment. - It was quite conveniently located although the Piccadilly Line being down was unfortunate.
The rooms were generous and beds very comfortable. Bathrooms excellent. No SkySports on TV was a real downer.
A better supply of dish clothes for cleaning benches would have been useful.
- Roberts (10/5): Biggest and most luxurious apartment-hotel I have been in. - The apartment is very spacious and elegant. It is stylishly designed and thoughtfully equipped with everything necessary—and more! (The apartment even has men's and women's shoes for various occasions, bags, umbrellas, a work desk with a pen and ruler, hair ties, an ironing board, power adapters, cables, an electric heater). There's a high-quality iron, hairdryer, an excellent frying pan, other electronics, dishes, kitchen tools. There's tea, coffee, a wide variety of spices. The bedrooms are very well separated from each other—almost like two combined apartments. The bathroom has a bathtub, a huge mirror, and three different lighting settings. Perfect mattresses and comfortable pillows make for a great night's sleep. The neighborhood is very quiet, safe, and visually beautiful. Just nearby there are many free museums: the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Science Museum, the Geology Museum, and more.
Thanks to the hosts for all the comfort! Apartment is in the basement floor, so no street view outside of windows.
- Colette (10/5): Beautiful, Spacious apartment in the heart of London - Very spacious, clean and well equipped apartment
Great location. 5min walk to Gloucester Road tube station. 3 min walk to coffee shops, restaurants etc Apartment in a quiet street. Steps down to the apartment a little steep so caution is required
- Farhad (8/5): Excellent location and comfortable accommodation made it a wonderful 2 weeks in London. - Excellent location.
Host was responsive.
Very comfortable accommodation and well equipped. Fridge was switched off with no instructions on where the switch was located.
Water heater didn't work on the first day. It took the whole day of to and fro to determine whether engineers were required. Once the engineers did come the issue was resolved quickly, but we lost a day off the holiday in getting the hot water back.
- Mark (2/5): Nice location... that's all. - This place is in a great location and it is kept well. (1) The “patio” is only accessible via the master bedroom, one step from the bed. (2) The lowest shelf on the wall in the living room prevents anyone tall from sitting there. (3). The doors have chains which close them automatically. They close with a loud thud. (4). There are doorstops all over the house to prevent the doors from slamming. (5) These doorstops are sticky and rubbery. Unlike a regular doorstop you can kick out of the way with your foot, these doorstops need to be moved with your hand. So if you are unable, to reach down every time you go in and out of a room, you are not going to be happy. (5). There is no A/C in the living room. There is no A/C in the hall. (6) The shower door in the master bath leaks water onto the floor every time. There is a nothing to prevent the water that runs down the glass door from running out onto the floor. The bath mat was wet all week. (7). They only provide ONE set of keys. I asked for a second set. They said no. (8). They don’t tell you in advance that you have to pick up the key from a cigarette shop that is 0.3 miles away. While 0.3 is not that far, you have to manage it with all of your luggage. (9) They don’t tell you in advance that you have to drop your key off at the same smoke shop when you leave. (10) The owner of the house, whoever they are, have shoes and clothes stacked and hanging in the foyer.
But by far and away the biggest negative to this property is the management company. Typically, when I rent an apartment, I need a confirmation email, I need directions on how to get the key, and I need instructions on what needs to be done when I leave the property. This management company sends emails all the time. Dozens of them. They called me on the eve of my departure from the US and told me I would need to pay a deposit, in advance. This was not in the terms of the contract. The examples of annoyance from the company are almost endless.
