• Markus (9/5): - We stayed two nights in an apartment at the Castel Sant'Angelo Apartments. The apartment is a relatively spacious two-bedroom apartment with a large kitchen and a spacious bathroom in an unbeatable location. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and very functionally furnished. A great place to enjoy Rome. The service from the landlord and his family, including their spot-on restaurant recommendations, was fantastic. We would gladly stay again.

If you have sensitivity to mould, this is not the accommodation for you.

Ci sono due letti matrimoniali e due divano letti matrimoniali comodi. Unica pecca è che si hanno due docce ma un solo water. Non è stato un problema
• Robert (4/5): Nicht noch einmal und auch so nicht zu empfehlen. - Sehr gute Lage in der Innenstadt, zentral, wenige Meter von der Engelsburg. Kein Luxusappartment. Küche und Bad ohne Fenster. Lüften im Bad unmöglich. Kaputte Toilettenbrille, keine Änderung nach Reklamation. Schimmel an den Silikonstellen der Badewanne und an der Decke.Keine Schallisolierten Fenster in den beiden Schlafräumen.
• pilar (5/5): Buen anfitrión, buena ubicación necesita mejor limpieza y arreglo de baños - La ubicación muy bien, el anfitrión muy atento muy buena comunicación, nos permitió dejar las maletas hasta la tarde y estuvo atento hasta que llegamos al apartamento que fue de madrugada, gracias Livio El apartamento es amplio, fuimos 6 personas y tuvimos utilizar sofá cama, con un solo w.c que es insuficiente para tanta gente , 2 baños aunque uno de ellos no tenía mampara lo cual hacía que el baño se llenará de agua, ambas duchas tenían moho entra las juntas y en la silicona y el apartamento en general no se veía limpio¹

• Rose (4/5): Far from luxurious as promoted - The best thing about this apartment is location. It is a stone throw away from the Castello di San Angelo and walkable to all tourist spots such as Piazza Navona and Colosseum. There was also a washer and dryer which is extremely convenient when travelling for long periods of time. The apartment was quiet at night given it was above a busy passageway. We were very disappointed with the overall size of the apartment. When booking, you are not told that there are 2 options. A smaller apartment and a larger apartment (located next door). The pictures on booking do not delineate the 2 options and it isn't until you have paid in full and checked in online that a name appears of the apartment you have been allotted. Our online checking stated apartment Massimo but when we arrived we were given the smaller apartment Flavio. When questioned, the meeting staff said that you 'chose this one'. I was perplexed and confused because the apartment didn't look like the booking images. The interactions with the host were rude and dismissive. He said it was an error with the checkin online and that we selected Flavio apartment. There was no evidence of this on any of our booking confirmations. The price for the smaller apartment doesn't match the quality advertised. That said - the apartment isn't a luxury suite as promoted. Two small rooms (one which is only separated by a makeshift wall) and the bathroom had a cracked and broken toilet (which they didn't bother to fix after we asked them to). This was highly dangerous - the toilet seat wasn't attached and the crack quite sharp and large. There was mould in the shower, no shower screen and the TV software on both TV were not updated so you couldn't even watch any TV shows. There isn't a lounge area so only the kitchen table and chairs. We also were given stained or old looking towels. I have added pictures of proof because the host will be quite defensive in reply (without doubt).

• Katie (8/5): Lovely, central location with great staff/support! Would likely stay here again. - The location was excellent and allowed us to spread out and take our trip at our own pass. While I loved the location, it was in a major thoroughfare from Castel Sant’Angelo and was quite loud at night. The split-duct air conditioners were great to have, but were loud (too loud to keep on at night) and didn’t cool that well. There was also evidence of some water damage/mildew in the bathrooms that could use a little love (and some mildew cleaner).

• Kathryn (10/5): Home away from home! - I loved that this is a family business. Livio was so helpful, he arranged for his son to pick us up at the airport and he gave us a ride to the train station when we left. He was early every time, and instructions were clear on where to meet him. The apartment was very clean, kitchen was stocked, the beds were comfortable and plenty of space to hang clothes. It felt like a home away from home in the heart of Rome. The location is perfect. A 10 minute walk to St Peter’s, and about the same to Piazza Navona. You are close to everything here. Highly recommend staying here, I will come again! I loved everything.

• Susan (10/5): Highly recommended by a Family of 4 from Ireland - As a family of 4 we had a wonderful stay at 'Castel Sant'Angelo' apartments. The apartment is in the most ideal and central location for a typical sightseeing tour or just for roaming around the wonderful streets full of fabulous restaurants, bars and shops.....our son had only finished chemotherapy so we were unsure the distances he could walk but the location of the apartment made everything easy. Inside the apartment was very modern but still in keeping with the old Roman style. All amenities available, comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. As for Livio our host we cannot thank him enough for all his help and guidance, a typical friendly and kind Italian.  We will definitely return and would highly recommend.

• Stav (6/5): The property is spacious and perfect for a big group but apart from the bathroom ammenities had a great stay. - The property was in a great location very close to all the attractions. The bathroom floor floods when showering which needs to be constantly mopped and has a bit of mildew around the rim of the bathtub and second shower. The bathrooms need a little updating.

• Vivian (10/5): Excellent apartment in the center of Rome - Our family of 7 had an excellent stay at this apartment, equipped with everything to be comfortable and good air conditioning. The apartment has a nice lay out and is more beautiful in real life than photos, located in an amazing location in centro historico in Rome, walkable everywhere to popular places of interest. It’s a 12 mins walk to St Peter’s Basillica and 25 mins walk to the Vatican Museum. There are lots of great restaurants, shops all around and charming, lively cobblestone streets to walk on between the apt and Piazza Navona. We took the bus to the Colosseum, super easy, cost effective and convenient. Noise was never a factor even when we stay in the middle of July. Our kids actually enjoyed the large windows looking out to the street towards Castle San’t Angelo and people watch down below. Livio was the best host who was always responsive, answered all our questions prior to our stay and met us at the beginning to show us the apartment and accommodated our need for airport drop off. Overall an excellent stay and host. We’d stay here again in the future.

• Paul (10/5): I would stay there again. Premium location. - It was an apartment so no free breakfast but there are so many restaurants nearby it doesn't apply. The host met us at the airport and drove us to the apartment and let us in! It was great! The air conditioning wasn't great. I like to sleep cold and it just didn't get cold enough for me, but there was air conditioning in each room which was nice.

The team met us at the apartment to begin our stay, and helped us transport to the airport upon departure. I highly recommend them.

The host greeted us upon arrival and took his time to walk us around the apartment which was very conveniently located near the Vatican, the castle, and local transportation. Restaurants and shopping were within walking distance. The apartment itself was large and beautiful and clean. Probably one of the best places that we stayed during our two week trip abroad. Highly recommend. Nothing negative. Highly recommend.

• Donald (5/5): Passable - Location We stayed one of the two nights booked and paid for. The apartment location is very good but it is a student bar/drinking area and you will hear noise all night. We found the bathroom unacceptable: a bath tub with a very low mounted shower and no curtain and little counter space. Also the apartment was difficult to gain access with the 8 digit code. Sometimes it worked other times it didn't after numerous attempts. You can tell that the apartment hasn't been updated in a while. For the price you expect more. We found a deluxe hotel room that worked out better for us.

• Smith (10/5): A GEM OFF AN APPARTMENT WITH FABULOUS HOST LIVIO - We have just arrived home from a fabulous four night stay at this appartment. Our host Livio was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. He arranged our pick up and drop off at the Airport, which was on time, and competitively priced, and was so friendly and informative on route. Livio also took us into the apartment and showed us round explaining all we needed to know, he was first class and always answered any questions on the phone before I had even finished typing, how's that for service 😄 🤣 The apartment is in a brilliant location next to all the restaurants, and hop on hop off bus route 😂 The experience we had was amazing, and we can't wait to return as soon as possible. • Idxdmitry (9/5): Great vacation in Rome - This is a spacious apartment that includes all necessary amenities. It is ideally located, very near to the Vatican and other notable landmarks. It provides excellent value during the winter months. We used the transfer from the owner; it was great and cheaper than a taxi. The nighttime was quite loud, causing us difficulties in sleeping due to the sounds of screaming birds, ambulances, and cleaning machines in the morning.
• Ignacio (9/5): Beautiful apartment on a great location - Location is AMAZING. Rome is at your feet: A 3m walk from the Castle de st Angelo and a 20m walk from the Vatican. A 5m walk to Piazza Navona, a 10m walk to Trastevere... The apartment is beautiful, spacious and tastefully decorated. We couldn't be happier with the choice. The kitchen had a table that could fit 6 people and all kind of equipment to cook. The main bathroom was spacious, the second one was tiny but useful. I have to say that Livio contacted me constantly before arrival to make sure the check in experience was smooth. I would vividly recommend to stay here Internet was slow. It worked with no issues but we were not able to get more than 2Mbps. Good for staying connected on WhatsApp/email and browse internet but will not be good for remote work. While the apartment was clean on check in, it was not "shiny clean". My sister found some fluff in the floor of her bedroom. It did not bother to me at all but it did to her.

Just fantastic location, from the window there is view on sant D’Angelo castle. Near apartment there are stores with Roman food and you can walk to Panteon, plaza Navona via such a lovely Roman streets The street can be noisy for someone who love quiet location

The location is amazing with loads of shops, restaurants etc nearby an easy to get to all the sights. Livio and his family are wonderful hosts and even provided transfers for us to and from the airport to the apartment. They are very kind and showed us round the apartment and how to use everything which was appreciated. Would highly recommend!! Nothing! Everything was great, it exceeded my expectations.
• Angela (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay here, the excellent host truly made it! - The location was ideal. The apartment had great amenities. A handy washer and drier in a small utility area. The owner, Livio, offers a pick up and drop off to the airport for a very reasonable fee. This was an amazing service, travelling solo with children I didn’t have to worry about taxis and safety. Livio is an excellent host and deals promptly with any queries. The street outside can be noisy at night time.

The hosts met us, provided all the information we needed and were very helpful setting up transportation from the train and later to the airport. It is well situated with so much to do and see all around. We were within walking distance (~30 minutes) to just about everything. Rooms were very clean and spacious with a full kitchen and laundry (wash & dry). Perfect for our group of 4. We knew it going in but 4 adults sharing a single bathroom is not an issue if you aren't all getting up early and out the door going to see attractions at the same time. Also it took a little getting used to, showering in the tub without a show curtain to contain the splashes within. I would be concerned with water getting on the floor on a regular basis.

• James (8/5): For our needs this was a very good option for our three days in Roma before our cruise. - Location was very convenient. No sitting room. Furniture is a bit outdated.
• Joanne (10/5): Fantastic stay from start to finish! - Fantastic host kept in contact with us and also offered to pick us up from the station. The apartment was gorgeous and in a central location. Beautiful decor and views, with large windows. The entrance area was clean and tidy. Apartment had everything you need!
• Philipp (7/5): Too expensive for what it is... - Owner was very friendly and helpful explaining all the necessary points, Location is exellent in the heart of the city No shower curtain makes the bathroom flood every time you take a shower if you are several people you will stay in a puddle of water, Mold around the bathtub and and fouling wooden door frames on the bathroom door dont give you a feel of the "advertised Luxury, place... You sould also not bothered by the wall that is opened to the public corridor to share the aircondion from there... You can hear every word from the next room as the walls are ony gypsum board without insulation.... Nice place but for 470 Euro the night overpriced.

The location is fantastic--right near tourist sites, shops, and restaurants. We could walk many places. Plenty of space in the apartment, very clean and comfortable. Has a washer/dryer! Loud street noise--a product of being in a great location in a city. Bring ear plugs!

The location was superb for walking to sites and dining. But greatest of all was the excellent communication and attention to details by the hosts. Will come back and recommend it to all my friends. Nothing we did not like.

• Jane (4/5): Would not recommend. Not worth the money we paid. - Convenient location. Laundry. There was no shower curtain or screen. 4 of us had showers and the bathroom flooded each time. I don’t go on holidays to mop up water with towels every time someone has a shower. We asked for a mop but didn’t get it. Dead plant outside the window. Towels and linen were old and tatty. Coffee machine didn’t work. Could they not have left some milk in the fridge? Not worth the rating you gave the property.

• Mark (10/5): A perfect place to say with a family or solo to explore the limitless bounties of Roma! - The host was friendly, prompt and took care of the transport to and from the location. We went when half of Rome was shut down due to various events and we managed to make it to the airport on time! The location is within walking distance to restaurants, cafe's and the Vatican and is tucked away in a small side street so it was relatively quiet throughout the night. One of the best end-to-end booking experiences I ever had! Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat and will surely return for another stay! Nothing!
• Danette (10/5): Great location, accommodating host. - The charming apartment was tucked away in a great location convenient to shopping and restaurants. We felt safe and were able to walk to the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain among other sites during our very brief (1 night) stay. The host was very informative and accommodating, aiding us with transportation and restaurant recommendations.
