Guest Reviews
- Matthew (1/5): Overpriced and a lack of care - Good location Beddings were left in the washing and dryer; we had no hot water and the radiator/heating wasn’t working either. The beddings weren’t changed, they had stains and full of dust. The blinds all through the property were scruffy and inadequate, they were flimsy, had holes and let in a lot of light. The toilet seat was too small for the base and moved around, it was horrible. I won’t start with the mattress, the springs poked my ribs.
- Margot Diesch (1/5): Sind ausgezogen, da überall Schimmel und wir hatten sogar einen Wasserschaden… - Gar nichts Die Wohnung war in einem sehr schmutzigen und schlechten Zustand….

- Anonymous (2/5): Underwhelming stay. - Bow on the toilet paper, facilities weren't as bad. Beds not made, broken blinds, left clothes in dryer, mould in the shower, toilet light switch broken, sofa bed isn't strong/back of it is ripped up. Hot water ran out fast. Bad communication between owner.
- Zyrone (5/5): Passable -
- Kelly (3/5): Poor - We attended wide awake festival and the flat was only a 10 minute walk When we arrived at 3 the cleaner was still there and the place wasn't very clean after she left. The floor had been washed but the shower was dirty, there was popcorn stuck to the sofa, the fridge and microwave were visibility dirty, the blinds were broken and the shower would not drain. Definitely not worth the money we paid.
- Lewis (1/5): The worst property I have ever booked - Nothing It Stinks and has mold / damp on the walls Everything, the place smelt like wet dog, the beds are thin mattresses on a metal frame, it appears to have damp and what looks like the start of mold on the wall in the front bedroom, you can smell damp coming from the cellar, this place is awful
- Scott (1/5): Never stay here - Nothing Everything.
What a dump. Not fit for humans.
Mould on walls,filthy,said sleeps 5,but only 4,no tea/coffee.
- Ana-maria (10/5): Highly recommend the place! - The apartment and the location! The host was very communicative as we booked it on the very last minute and they let us check out later than 10 the next day! Very lovely apartment and super affordable! Thank you, you made our stay the best! N/A
- Lee (3/5): Would not stay here again and would recommend against anyone else staying here - It was close to Brixton academy Some of the window locks were broken so we couldn’t shut them and it was freezing, the bed was like a camp bed and extremely uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep in the front bedroom as it was damp with mold in the corner of the room. The sofa in the kitchen area was ripped and dirty, there was no sink in the bathroom the toilet seat was broken . Outside is poorly lit and communication from the owner was poor as to where the keys were etc
- Patricia (5/5): With some new furniture and lighting this b&b would be much improved. - Bacon and eggs were provided No instruction sheet to explain tv, WiFi or boiler
No bedside furniture or side lamps
Had to use kitchen sink as bathroom sink
No washing up liquid or tea towel
- Michael (1/5): Avoid this property at all costs. The property has major defects and an inadequate owner. - The property failed in most regards. There was no hot water for 3 days out of five. There was black mould inside the property. When asked for a partial refund, the owner agreed to a two day refund of what we paid, but then only refunded 200 out of the 330 pounds we were owed. A totally stressful and disappointing experience.
- Revins (3/5): Good Location but Bad Property - Was very close to public transport and the city, beautiful area and home A leak in the main room caused water to flood the floor. Door handles were broken and lamps did not work correctly. Mould also covered some of the walls and ceilings
- Jo (8/5): We enjoyed our stay here, large flat, garden and good facilities in kitchen. Perfect location for electric Brixton - Easy check in and check out with key box. The flat is large with plenty of space and a garden at the back. All the facilities that is needed and no clutter.Perfect location for electric Brixton and close to pubs and shops. We couldn’t get the heating to work as the thermostat was out of battery and the TV wouldn’t work as it wasnt connected to any internet but may have been us not being tech savvy. The blinds at the front dont give you full privacy from the road and the door handle comes off of one of the second bedroom door, so we couldn’t shut that door.
Not the hosts fault but the flat above is very very noisy early in the morning up and down the stairs so take ear plugs! Over all I would still use this property again as long as the heating was working.
- Pawel (8/5): Happy to stay there, would not hesitate to recommend. - Appartment was very clean, warm, comfortable and spacious. Kitchen fully equipped, all pretty new. Contact with the owner without any problem. A bit noisy neighbour upstairs.
- Santena (6/5): Pleasant - Location was very good, close to the station for bus and metro. There are also good shops near. Comunication was excellent, nice host, fast replys and parking paying. Bedrooms are big and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit unusual and too small. There was also a chair missing for 5 people. The kitchen wasnt fully suplied. There were also ants and other bugs. It was not really super clean. Everything in the apartment is new, but not very good made and not cleaned up the proper way.
- Hilary (5/5): Didn't spoil our trip but I shall be wary of booking through Booking.com again - Breakfast N/A but we had an excellent breakfast in Brixton market. Location excellent for our needs [an event at Brixton Performing Arts centre]. We had arranged to arrive between 4pm and 5pm and the booking confirmation said someone would be there with the keys. I wondered about how they would know we had arrived but assumed the owner must live on the premises or all would become clear when we got there. It didn't! Noone showed up and we had to wait on the phone for over half an hour to get through to Booking.Com. We were very worried that we weren't going to have anywhere to stay. Eventually the owner turned up with the keys about 5.20. The flat had not been cleaned but we had to quickly change and hurry out to our event and he cleaned it while we were out. I'm still not sure what the arrangement should have been.
Also the sofa bed which we wanted to use was not fit for purpose, tipping up when our occupier turned over!
