- Haihong (9/5): - 旅社干净整洁,设施齐全,尤其是厨房非常方便
- Miguel (10/5): Easy, clean and cheap lovely stay in the gramps - Beautiful property, really clean and has plenty of space in kitchen. Nice chill areas, loved the daily billboard with weather updates and walk info. Also really close to halls gap centre so location was great nothing
- Kate (10/5): -
- hudde (8/5): - Extremely nice and helpful host (tips about hikes/snakes/places). Cosy couch area. Extensive info material about hikes/animals/announcements on the walls. Good price. One of the stoves didn't get hot enough for cooking. Hardly any cooking helpers except salt/pepper (oil/sugar etc. would have been really nice).
- Revelyn (10/5): Relaxing and comfortable - Cleanliness and close proximity to the hiking trail
- Henry (8/5): -
- Delphine (10/5): -
- Lisa (9/5): - Friendly and attentive staff. Bathrooms and rooms very clean.

- Pat (10/5): Great 1 night stay. Hope other YHA’s are as good as this one! - Great facilities, clean, everything that you could need to cook, etc and very well organised. Location was perfect! Bit expensive for a small room with 3 beds but it was Easter Sunday and we stayed 1 night so surcharges etc, I understand.

- Georgia (9/5): Good overall - Very good location. Good spacious shared spaces. Great campfire and smores ! No oil salt or pepper - which is just a hostel basic! Dorms were small with rickety beds
- Doriane (9/5): - Beautiful place with everything we needed. The room was simple but the common areas were great, very convenient and spacious.
- Clara (9/5): Super adresse pour les Grampians - Une super adresse pour explorer les Grampians avec un budget modéré ! Dortoir et sanitaires propres, cuisine partagée bien équipée. Le personnel est adorable. RAS

- Anya (10/5): - Really clean, uncluttered, nice lounge space and kitchen.fast wifi. Comfortable beds and clean showers. A few tables outside to which the resident cockatoos and kangaroos come by. I was the only one in my room for both nights.
Thoughtful information on the wall categorized hikes and things around. Really enjoyed my time there and wish I booked more than 2 nights.
- Billy (9/5): - Nice hotels Non
- Audric (10/5): Great spot to go visit the Grampians -
- Anna (7/5): -
- Pavel (9/5): Good for young people. - nice kitchen and BBQ zone. room is so small and dark, smells bad.
- Bartley (10/5): Totally relaxing experience amidst great camaraderie from fellow guests and staff. Bartley & Helen. - Excellent and warm care from the entire management team - Mel, Greg and Cleo. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Plenty of internal and outdoor spaces to really relax and take in the incredible scenery.
Hostel was really well run by Mel and her team. No complaints.
- Ayush (9/5): -
- MALCOLM (8/5): -
- Peter (8/5): Rhiannon (staff) was cheery, helpful and efficient. Great location for walks and chilling out. Feels homely. - The layout / floorplan of the building is excellent and comfortable.
Love the ecological / waste reduction and recycling measures.
Encellent areas to sit outside.
Excellent staff. The bedroom door closure / locks are very loud - not sure if insulation strips would reduce door closure noise.
Bathroom shower curtains are always wet … not sure that’s a good solution to preventing water spread. The exhaust vent in Men’s bathroom needs a clean. Window could be updated for better passive ventilation since there’s sign of mould on walls - this is a problem facing all communal bathrooms but greater ventilation may be possible with window redesign or fans on timer switch.
Kitchen fridges are too small if the lodge is full. Consider a third backup fridge even if located away from the kitchen.
Recommend staff don’t spray on kitchen tops in the morning while people are still preparing meals. Better if they spray directly onto a cloth / rag then wipe the counter to prevent aerosol contamination.
Garden needs a working bee to weed - there are blackberry brambles.
- Ben (6/5): -
- SARAH (9/5): friendly, comfortable and good value for money - Quiet time of year to stay- clean facilities and friendly staff Would have liked the fire place to be going each night (it was cold at night).
- Barnaby (9/5): -
- Carolina (10/5): Very friendly staff and clean hostel - Clean appliances, friendly staff and it is perfect located pretty close to the main shops. The time for check out “10 am” it is not enough for you to wake up, have a shower and breakfast, you need to wake up very early and it wasn’t pleasant as we check in at 10 pm, we should be able to enjoy more the time you are paying.
- Melinda (8/5): -
- Simon (10/5): -
- Crystal (9/5): -
- Tian (9/5): - Very friendly staff, great location, close to hiking tracks, big and clean public areas with all kitchen facilities… I really enjoyed my stay.

- Bowman (10/5): Wonderful location for this lovely hostel. - Very well equipped hostel in a gorgeous location. Access to Grampian walks very close. Clean and comfortable.
- Patrick (8/5): -
- Ben (10/5): -
- Denise (8/5): Enjoyed my stay very much and would stay again. - Lovely garden surrounds. Adequate parking fabulous double kitchen space with multiple cooking facilities . Well planned personal food storage spaces. Large dining areas including outdoor eating areas. Could do with more shared bathroom facilities .
- Pola (7/5): -
- Rosy (7/5): Average - Staff Building was freezing and the rooms are but rundown
- Kate (7/5): -
- Noemi (8/5): - We got a 3-bed room for a small group. The facilities were ok, nothing superb. For the price we paid all together, it was not too bad. Some showers were not working well, and I had to use another shower upstairs. One of the ladies was not the kindest person in the world, but another lady compensated for this failure, and in the end, everything worked well.
- Rynier (8/5): Easy alternative to Camping in Halls Gap - Fantastic location close to town many hiking trails..Nice community and communal.areas Nothing
- JohnW (9/5): -
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- Matt (9/5): Recommended for Budget travellers - A well organised and tidy hostel, everything went really well. Check only from 4-7pm
- Patrick (8/5): Good value place to stay with all the amenities you could wish for. - Large kitchen dining area with electric cookers and nice light inside dining area surrounded by greenery or outside tables weather permitting. Also comfy warm sitting areas. Lots of information available on the walks and wildlife in the area. A YHA room typically means shared bathrooms but as we stayed at a quieter time of year this wasn't an issue.
- Tara (10/5): -
- Mareike (7/5): -
- Lisa (9/5): Great self catering hostel walking distance to the centre of Halls Gap. - Great little hostel with a focus on sustainability. Comfy beds, very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. Walking distance to the centre of Halls Gap and lots of information on bushwalks, flora and fauna and local activities. Highly recommended!
- Charles (9/5): -
- Tracy (9/5): I always feel connected to Halls Gap when I stay at the YHA there. - Fantastic location, easy to get to and nature is on your doorstep. Gosh, if they had the money (which no one does, although backpackers would work for accommodation), they could freshen up the place with a coat of paint and new curtains.
- Esther (9/5): Mooi verblijf in prachtige omgeving! - Rust en bouwstijl Nvt
- Lynette (10/5): It is always a pleasure to stay at the YHA in Halls Gap as the place has a great vibe. - The ambiance of the building and the location No issues
- Ashleigh (8/5): Thank you happy young girl on front desk for the laughs you made it complete xx - Very beautiful and accomodating but didn’t realise it was more of a luxury backpackers with shared toilet and kitchen facility. Was okay in the end but I had never used a shared bathroom/kitchen and wouldn’t of if I didn’t accidentally overlook that however was lovely in the end and I’m glad I tried something new :) The lights in the toilets were blown so I couldn’t see to do my makeup haha
- Diana (10/5): Wonderful stay, extremely well run, clean and comfortable hostel. The best I’ve ever stayed at. Friendly helpful staff. -
- HappyJourney (10/5): - The YHA Grampians is eco friendly, the staff are lovely and helpful, the place is clean, tidy and in a lovely setting. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot. Very close walking distance to everything. Everything was amazing
- Aiken (8/5): - Clean and friendly staff, not the most comfy
- Vojtech (8/5): -
- Simone (10/5): -
- Leminio (8/5): -
- Daniil (10/5): -
- Guo (10/5): Very clean and cosy. I would settle there for life !! -
- Pin yan (10/5): -
- Minyao (8/5): - Good location. Easy remote check in. Good facilities in the kitchen and communal area. One of the showers didn’t have hot water but the other one does.
- Jeanne (9/5): Super séjour dans cette auberge chaleureuse. On s’y sent comme à la maison. J’y retournerai c’est certain! - Gentillesse des réceptionnistes
- Camila (10/5): Great experience! - The facility is great, so pretty! Kangaroos everywhere. Very sustainable, staff were very friendly and willing to help with anything.
I’d suggest to make the fire area a quiet room, it’s so calming and Nice but it can get very overwhelming when a group of people come in! The bathroom didn’t have a heater and it was SOOOOO cold 🤣
Also the room is very very simple, bed quilt was quite small and bunk beds were very loud. Although, the beauty of the rest of the place compensate…
- Declan (9/5): -
- stanislaw (5/5): -
- Peter (7/5): Good -
