- Matthias (10/5): - Erg vriendelijke ontvangst. Heel gezellige kamer. Gratis parking vlakbij.
- David (7/5): - The room is on the 1st floor of boarding house. Good size room. Stylish and spacious. Close to centre. Street was quiet on a Sunday.Good value for 1 night. Friendly welcome. Spoke English. Room was quiet with bird song outside. Nice clean bedding. Parking is on first come basis.Traffic increased on Monday. Shared bathroom, but not a problem. Basic tea making kit. Asked to vacate at 07.30. Stairs were fairly steep.Avoid if u r disabled. Towels were OK

Wij komen zeker terug!

- Claire (10/5): Great stay in Ypres - Very friendly host who gave me information about what to do and see. Location was very central but the room was at the back of the house and so very quiet and peaceful. It was a good sized room with lots of space for me and my luggage. There was information about Ypres and the surrounding area in my room. Nothing
- Mark (10/5): - Fabulous, really lovely place to stay whilst exploring around Ypres
Eigenlijk was alles gewoon prima.

- Marché Bester (10/5): Lovely stay in Ypres centre - Lovely owner, very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, in the city centre and the room was great! The room was big, clean, had curtains, a desk, a mirror, an open hanging closet, 2 chairs, towels, ... The bed was amazing, I slept so well!
- van Hooydonk (8/5): -
- Joh (1/5): Horrible experience - Room was nice but the old wood floors were cold, the heating was hot during the day and turned off at night and it was so cold I used the hairdryer to heat room. As above and the host wasn't very friendly, there was no lift only old wooden stairs like the floors, I had to check out early morning and was confronted aggressively by the host who began to complain that I was making too much noise, she literally chased me out the door saying I was rude, noisy a list of her winges, horrible women would never return and she needs to get out of the hospitality industry because she is not a good example.
- Mariella (10/5): Loved it! - Dorine is a very nice lady! The room was very cozy and clean. Even if you have to share a bathroom with the others guests, it was very clean! Thank you so much! I had a few amazing days in Ypres!
- Martin (9/5): -
- Jayden (10/5): Beautiful place and wonderful host - Really comfortable bed and well decorated interior, the stay was as good as can be. Fairly priced as well.

- Kate (9/5): Historically beautiful. - Comfortable, clean, friendly hostess. Close to centre of town. Just perfect for a visitor to explore and experience the fabulous town of Ypres Belgium Nothing

- Mieke (10/5): - Rustige straat, zacht bed, aan alle noden voldaan. Niets
- Mark (9/5): Heel aangenaam,zeer rustig,heel lekker geslapen -
- Milena (9/5): -
- Wayne (9/5): This is a good place to stay while in Ypres. - Comfortable, clean, good location, very nice and amiable host. Little to no tea making supplies (black tea, milk although a kettle was supplied.
- Fairdinkum2 (9/5): De Galerie was a very pleasant surprise and welcome addition to Ypes budget options. - De Galerie was a very pleasant surprise and welcome addition to Ypes budget options. Well laid out and many thoughtful little things were taken care of by the proprietor. I suspect she visited a number of B&B's before setting up De Gallerie. Also, the shower and bathroom were excellent, a be it, close outside the room. She also had an interesting collection of art objects from carved wood and stone to "woven baskets." Not much. Yes there were stairs but only a couple of flights which comes with the territory at this price point. Maybe the availability of a few crockery bowls and cutlery for breakfast. Breakfast is not offered as an option.

- Andy (10/5): Great location.... - I parked my motor bike outside the property as unrestricted parked applies after 1800 hrs ! Shifted for 0900 hrs in the morning !!
Dorine met me at the property as she lives on the ground floor.
Room was spacious with shared bathroom... not an issue !! All good !!
- Angus (10/5): Excellent, I will certainly return. - Excellent accommodation for a short stay in Ypres. The location is just a short walk from the Cloth Hall so very convenient and it has the added bonus of free parking nearby.
The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable and met my needs perfectly. The only slight downside is sharing a bathroom with the other room in the premises. I'm an early riser and I was very conscious about trying to keep as quiet as possible when using the bathroom to avoid waking the occupants of the other room.
- Andre (10/5): Cozy and well decorated room - Really beautiful room with nice decoration
Close to city center and easy to park
Very easy check-in
Very kind staff
- Connor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Very friendly lady and helpful:)
- Stijn (9/5): Superb -
- Jelle (4/5): Not a very pleasant stay except the location. Owner is friendly though. - Nice location, okay price. - Sand in the bedsheets...
- No extra toilet paper supplied in the bathroom. Which causes very uncomfortable situations.
If it's a shared bathroom, supply at least a lot of toilet paper or put extra every day.
- Old building, which gives it charm. But smells musty and everything makes a lot of noise.
- Eoin (6/5): Decent, but poor hosting - Very clean, nice location - both close to centre and train station but quiet. There was a dog locked inside one of the rooms who was clearly very distressed, howling and scratching intensely at the door for about 2-3 hours until their owners came back. I’m not sure if these were the persons managing the property or guests (they acted more like the former). In any case the person managing the property didn’t answer my multiple phone calls and messages about the issue, so I was stuck with this very upsetting noise for several hours.
The host also provided no instructions on accessing or checking in to the property until I messaged them directly on the day itself (it was a self check in, so a code for a lockbox etc was needed).
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Henry (10/5): Very nice, thank you. -
- Robert (9/5): Excellent and would highly recommend. - Great location and very easy to access Shared bathroom meaning you have to wait for other guest rooms to finish in there before you can use it.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Karlo (10/5): Super - I had an emergency situation and had to stay on the street at night because I was late for check-in. However, the owner of the property was incredibly kind—she woke up in the middle of the night to help me. Everything went smoothly, and I had no issues at all. She is amazing, and the place is super cool! Highly recommended!
- George (8/5): Very good -
- Veselin (10/5): Nice stay - Great location, really quiet and still close to the center and bars I was missing a tv in the room
- Jelle (9/5): Excellent rooms very close to the centre of Ypres. - Ideal location, always correct and clean rooms, nice interior at a competitive price.
- Elizabeth (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ryan (9/5): Superb -
- Alick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Potapov (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hadyn (10/5): Great for a solo traveller - The bed and room I was given were both top class, very comfortable and spacey, and Dorine was really friendly and informative about the area. And, proficient in English too, which made my life easy
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place to stay. Thank you
- Patrick (9/5): Nice visit to ypres - The location was perfect for arrival by train, and also close to museum and menin gate. The checkin worked perfectly, the room was roomy, and tea facilities were gratefully appreciated. All round very good
- Andrew (9/5): Very easy walk into centre of town. Our main reason for staying was to go the Menin gate. - Parking was free and only approx 50 metres from property. Having a shared bathroom is not what we usually book but the facility in this establishment was better than some that do have private shower and toilet.
- Andy (10/5): Perfect for a visit to Ypres - Large, clean comfortable room.
Great location on a quiet street in Ypres, close to visitor attractions and bars and restaurants.
Free parking in the street behind next to the football pitch.
Good value for money in Ypres.
- Matt (9/5): Superb -
- Rosalind (5/5): Nice facilities, extremely poor service - very nice facilities, near to centre of town I arrived at 1:30. Rang the bell, no answer. Came back at 5:30, pin code didn’t work. Owner answered the bell & said room not ready, come back in 1/2 hour. 6pm!! She said she would be there, she wasn’t. She disappeared in the morning when I was in the shower. So I had 1 minute conversation at 5:30, then an sms to tell me which room I had.
She said she’d been busy but I booked it months ago. I felt unwelcome and as if I was an imposition.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Max (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Ypres. - Lovely room in a perfect location in Ypres. Warm welcome and nicely designed room. Nothing
- Paul (9/5): Great 2 night stay. - Great location and good value for money. Ypres is a lovely town and the host was great.
- Donna (8/5): Nice stay in a great location. - Great location and superbly equipped shared bathroom with all the comforts of home. Room itself is sparse and very basic but ok for a night. The room is on the small side and not much to offer in terms of supplies. No TV, microwave, coffee was one tiny pouch each of instant for 2 people. A few more would have been great to have. Also the front door key is complicated and requires instructions from the host to open (such is the case in old places). The room could use a little more care in cleaning as there were dust bunnies under the bed and other furniture. Also, no fridge or offer from the host to store fridge items which would have been appreciated.
- Lance (9/5): Superb - Nice old home- guesthouse, close to town centre. All was fine.
- Gordon (9/5): Owner lovely and helpful Property lovely and cool away from th heat of the day - 5 min walk to centre but far enough away from the busy streets Nothing I enjoyed it all
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional - Room was large and the host was beyond helpful! We were allowed to store our bags after checkout when sightseeing during the day which was really useful.
- Gary (9/5): A little Gem - Lovely sized room~very comfortable bed~charming hostess~coffee facilties~great location~good value! The textured pillow cases and pillows didn't find them comfortable to sleep on ~looked nice though
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional value in a great part of Ypres - Wonderful place to stay immaculate spacious room very nicely furnished and large very comfortable bed Beautiful bathroom with great walk in shower we could not fault anything.A very nice welcome when we arrived excellent wifi and parked just outside the door'We will definitely stay again when we are in Ypres Not staying longer
- Andrew (9/5): Extremely cosy and fantastic value for money - Absolutely beautiful, comfortable and cosy room in a lovely building. The location was perfect, a very short, easy walk to the centre but quiet and with ample, free parking around the corner. The owner was very attentive; very quick to respond with helpful advice when we needed it. The bed was very big and very comfortable. The coffee machine was great, too. Excellent value for money and highly recommended. The only thing I can think of is that it would have been nice to have a glass in the room for water. I used one of the coffee cups and ended up getting very thirsty in the night.
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional - Close to train station and restaurants
- Dazza2002 (10/5): Perfect stop over on our journey. - Room was very large and comfortable. Location is perfect with only a short walk into town and free parking was also great. Communication was quick with self check in and out. Shared bathroom was clean and there was a communal coffee making table which was also very welcome. N/A
- Wendy (7/5): Overall… great. Thanks! - Great location. Big room. Comfortable bed. I didn’t know there were stairs up to the room. My husband has v limited mobility on stairs.
- Leanne (9/5): Superb -
- Nigel (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic property in a perfect location in a beautiful town
With a fantastic host thoroughly enjoyed our stay Nothing
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Jacek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerritsen (8/5): Nice room, very near to city centre, free parking - Q: What did you think of the breakfast? A: although description is B&B it is not included Out of toilet paper, no reserve available
With wooden floors and very thin walls it is quite noisy.
