Garden let the property down - & steep stairs to the property were not mentioned in the description so not good for older visitors - especially when raining. Beds all very soft & cheap pillows.
• Kathryn (8/5): If you like sharing with ghosts this is the place for you - It was clean and had everything you needed. Conveniently up the street from a Cafe. It was haunted! Casper liked stomping up and down the hallway and opening and closing the bedroom door all night!!

• Fatos (3/5): We made it good to make our selfs happy - Hi, the house was dirty it hasn’t been cleaned properly there was dust everywhere and the kitchen fridge the stove and the pantry was not cleaned properly at all. The laundry the back yard and the front the one yiu guys advertise was terrible nottjing to sit one every was not cleaned properly at all quite disappointing and will not recommend to anyone.

• Jodie (9/5): Fabulous stay in Rye - perfect for group getaways. - The property was in a great location, super close to the Peninsula Hot Springs which was what we wanted for our trip. The amenities were amazing, everything from shower gel, shampoo & conditioner for the bathroom, everything you would need in a kitchen to games, cards and even a speaker for music! The TV was a perfect size for a movie night and we made use of the available HDMI cord so we could stream directly from our devices to the TV. The entire property was super clean and well maintained and it was a perfect space for a group of 6 adults.

• Terry (7/5): - Functional, met our needs for a quick stay with comfortable beds with no desire to entertain. It is a tired but functional beach house, definitely not modern. Only one old outside cushion for the tired extensive outside cane seating on the front deck, which was heavily promoted. Advertised fireplace not available, but nor is it now advertised. Would not have used it. The beds in the two bedrooms we occupied were very comfy, but I hate when there is no top sheet & you are left to ponder if the bedside colour coordinated cover that you are in immediate contact with when sleeping ever gets washed. The shower is far too small for a rental at this price, in a very dated bathroom..

Located just a short drive to shops, beach, Peninsula Hot Springs, bars and restaurants. Comfortable beds and a cosy log wood fire place. Outdoor couches missing cushions

• Laura (7/5): It was cold but lucky so close to the hot springs - We liked the mattresses and having three bedrooms and the big lounge and how easy it was to get the key. There needs to be electric blankets on every bed or ducted heating installed-the house was freezing even with the split system and the fire going. We had the oil heaters going but they didn’t take the chill off the air. It would be good to have a toilet not in the bathroom. Also ensure there is wood and matches and paper for the fire. Baking paper or foil and spray would also have been good. We think the tea towels were dirty as they smelled. We also didn’t realise how far we were from the shops which really should reduce the price.

Host was very sympathetic & offered to send cleaners when I alerted her to housekeeping issues. Photos presented on Booking.com do not represent the current state of the property. Poorly maintained outside both front & rear. Rear courtyard very untidy (dead plants, paved area full of leaves & moss, ugly garden shed). Unsightly structure beside car space stacked with old timber & roofing iron). Interior looks ok but only surface cleaned. (Ants in cupboard, dirty cutlery drawer & other kitchen cupboards, perished kitchen sink plug, no clothes pegs, no top bed sheet, scratchy bath towels). Front lawn cut during our stay but no attention given to rear yard!!!

• Shirley (7/5): We enjoyed our overnight stay - The house was mostly clean, beds comfortable, lots of hot water in shower and tv and netflix very good. The dishwasher was broken, stank and was full of dirty dishes so we had to do dishes by hand. Very small tea towels provided. Bowls were either huge or tiny. The stove top was poorly cleaned.

Excellent contact from the host, very easy to ask questions and get a response. Very comfortable beds and lounge suites. Lots of places to just sit and relax. Only wish the tv in the main bedroom was working.

• 89 (9/5): An amazing stay with only the dishes being my only complaint - The house was really nice and comfortable with lots of facilities which helped make the experience great The dishes left from the previous guests were not washed properly and had lots of stains and bits of food on it

Owners let us have an early check in to drop our stuff, house was immaculate with a BBQ and table out back, the front deck overlooks a nice front garden which looked like it is well kept with fruit trees, check in and out was easy. Would stay again for sure.

Walked through the door and immediately felt like I was home from home - chilled evening sitting listening to the birds outside - great view from the deck! Nothing it was all amazing! 🤩

• Ashley (5/5): Good for an overnight stay but photos did not accurately represent the property - Living room and bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils. Outdoor area was poorly kept, unclean and did not represent the advertised photos. We were unable to sit out the back due to the tables being so dirty, the shed was fallen over and the gardens were overgrown. There was an outdoor lounge on the decking which required the pillows kept in the shed, but the lounge and table were dirty so we did not bother.

• Denise (7/5): Roomy, clean, good parking, central on the Peninsular, a little dated but all of a good average stnd - Fairly central location. We did choose the property for the fire but unfortunately this did not quite come up to expectation. Otherwise all good for an average place. Usual story - if we owned a rental like this, we would probably put a bit more effort into a few things and tidy it up a bit more. BUT there was nothing wrong with what it was. I understand they are lacking a manager currently so this may well be part of the issue.
