Guest Reviews
- Iina (10/5): - very good location next to restaurants and train station. Good communication with the host.
- Fiona (8/5): Fantastic locatio, more spacious than a hotel room - The location was fantastic, close to several train lines and convenient stores around the corner. The loft room was fun and suited our 9 year old, both beds were comfy. Nice quiet area. Spacious for 3 people in Japanese standard. While it wasn't an issue for us, the stairs going up to the accommodation could be difficult for some with luggage. Would've liked to have a clothes rack to dry clothes given there's a washing machine.

- ting chi (10/5): - Very typical Tokyo apartment, very close to the train and convenient to shops
- Scott (9/5): -
- Hayden (9/5): - We very much enjoyed our stay in the apartment which was a good size for 3 people. The loft is very cozy, but please be careful going up the stairs. The Host was lovely and we especially loved the location which has a great selection of bars and cafes near by. We also enjoyed the Izakaya on the 1st floor (Isle) so much that we had to go twice.

- Caterina (7/5): - Very good position near the Ueno Park. When the stairs to access the second room are down, it is not possible to access the toilet from the main room.
The air conditioning in the upper room was very noisy and unusable during the night. The air conditioning in the main room was quite weak.

- David (9/5): A small but cozy place to stay in central Tokyo. - The property's central location is excellent, with easy access to several train lines and 10 minute walk to the Keisei Narita train line. The apartment is very clean, the air conditioners work well and it's surprisingly quiet, despite the busy neighborhood and active construction nearby. The host is very responsive and helpful, through all the steps - from booking, through check-in, the stay and the check-out. When the ladder to the upstairs "attic" bedroom is open, the maneuver to get to the bathroom is challenging, the guests may be better off closing the ladder from the front door side if they want to avoid the contortions around the bathroom sliding door and the washing machine.
- raybie (9/5): Comfortable accommodation - Centrally located, easy access to shops, trains, restaurants. Comfortable and clean . Great communication with owner.
- Michelle (8/5): We will definely be back! - We loved the location of the property. Near train stations, and many shopping stores. The property’s owner is awesome! He was very helpful and caring! I didn’t liked that there’s no elevator, but not too bad. We have to use stairs to the third floor.
- Daniel (4/5): The loft was a boiling sauna - Convenient spot and nice owner The loft was totally unusable in summer.
It was over 30 degrees up there and sauna
We had to move the mattress downstairs and sleep on the floor. Which defeats the point of being a place with two bedrooms.
The owner offered to bring a fan. But that would have made no difference at that heat level
- Georgios (8/5): Great location, responsive host, super clean. - Great host very responsive, internet was excellent, as was the very convenient location. A bit crumpy for 3 people but that's the wat it is in Japan.
- Henry (8/5): Decent accommodation in Ueno. Accessible to stations, stores and shopping street. - Convenient since it's located in Ueno. Quiet and accessible to shopping areas and 24-hour stores. Personally, I like the hidden stairs to the attic. The host is responsible and replies fast. The room is smaller than the pictures show. The toilet and the bed are not cleaned properly. Long stairs and you have to climb up to the third floor. So, if you have big luggage, super tiring.
- Low (8/5): Very good -
- David (7/5): Great space in a convenient locale in Ueno. The second room is an attic loft! -
- Yannick (8/5): Very good - Location Some kitchen utensils missing. Quite cramped, but still spacious enough.
- Harley (10/5): Amazing apartment, would recommend! - The bed was very comfortable The staircase is hard to get up and down with heavy luggage
- Tyler (10/5): Great location and cozy room. - The location is great. Near convenience stores and the subway. Also within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping.
- Chris (9/5): A cute place right in the heart of Tokyo. - It’s set in a wonderful area with restaurants and shops and even a brewery! Easy to get to by public transport and close to Akihabara for shopping. The property is small but well designed and has most of what you need. I would say that this property is not for anyone with mobility issues as the stairs are steep and there’s no lift.
- Eric (10/5): Great stay! - Clean comfortable and close to train stations. Owner is very friendly and responds quickly to questions.
- Hadza (10/5): its good value for money - its location is superb, easy check in and check out procedure its a bit small, typical japanese home probabaly.
- Shutendo (6/5): Good solution for a solo traveller, ideally a first-timer, do not expect any special comfort - The position is frankly very good, near Ueno-Okachimachi, and the price was convenient The size is ok for one person, in two it might feel a bit small. This place is a good solution if you are a first-timer in Tokyo and use the apartment only at night to sleep. The first night at the bar downstairs they were a bit noisy but luckily this did not happen again. The owner was nice to provide a night lamp after signalling this problem. The loft is at a second floor with a narrow, steep staircase and no lift, so keep that in mind if you have heavy luggage. There is a small yakitori bar right downstairs so it might get a little noisy at times. The other downsides of the apartment are the following: 1) no place to store your things other than a shoe rack at the entrance; 2) a super tiny table at the foot of the bed with a couple of stools, so no other place to sit down other than the bed; 3) window opening right on the hotel in front so to have privacy you need to keep curtains closed and artificial light. I did not use the stove but in case you need that it is not suitable for cooking much more than scrambled eggs. A little bit more of decorations and personal touch might soften the impression that this was simply a studio for salary men rented out for profit.
