Guest Reviews
- Mario Victor (9/5): Central Trastevere residence - Site is central. I appreciated the kitchenette with basic supplies. The room was bright and airy. The noise in the streets below was quite annoying with shouting and banging till the small hours of the morning.
- Sofia (10/5): - This was one of the best Booking.com properties we have stayed at. The host Nadia welcomed us in person, showing us the ropes and handing over the keys. She was kind and professional, and made herself available via WhatsApp for occasional enquiries throughout our stay. The flat is even nicer in the flesh than in the photographs: simply wonderful. Even the travel bed was comfortable. The location and views are simply superb. An excellent place to stay. Nothing: this was a superb experience.

- Leevi (10/5): Perfect stay in Rome! Would recommend and come back anytime. - The apartment was just like in the photos and the view was just amazing. Apartment was super clean and had everything that we needed during our stay. The bed was super comfortable and the blackout curtains in the room ensured a good rest until the morning.
Location was perfect for us since we could walk everywhere and there was a lot of restaurants to go to in the neighbourhood. The area was very quiet during night time after all the restaurants closed , and stayed quiet until late morning.
Our host Nadia was very friendly and helpful with everything during our stay. We needed to store our luggage to the shop downstairs after the checkout and even that worked out perfectly with the friendly staff. Everything was perfect!
- Giorgiana (10/5): - Very good location. Many restaurants and terraces around. You can reach all the important tourist points on foot. Nadia was always at our disposal. I highly recommend. -
- Rebecca (9/5): We felt like locals - The location and host are wonderful. There is a beautiful view of a church. There are lots of restaurants nearby and the plaza had live music over the weekend that was fun to watch. I also purchased some nice local goods (jewelry, cosmetic bags) from small businesses in the area. There is a gluten free restaurant right down the street (Mama Roma) and also a place to get smoothies. The place was perfect for our family of four. The only thing I would say is to add a top sheet on the beds, as it was summertime and I didn't like covering up with a comforter without a top sheet.

- Ana (10/5): Perfecto - La ubicación y el apartamento en si estaba genial
- Giulia (10/5): Roma è sempre Roma! - Struttura molto carina e in una posizione ottima N
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Leanne (9/5): We loved everything about our accommodation. So close to everything but private. Spacious rooms and Nadia and Giuseppe w - The location was superb, close to everything. The rooms were spacious with good facilities. The lift is good if you can’t do stairs also. We liked everything.
- Mark (9/5): Excellent - I only gave it 9 because I’ve never given a 10, but a perfect stay in a lovely apartment with a fantastically attentive host. Very traditional feeling. A great oasis to come home to after a big day out.
- Simon (10/5): Amazing stay in the heart of Trastevere! - We had a fantastic stay in this lovely apartment, ideally located in Trastevere — definitely the place to be if you want to enjoy great food, lively evenings, and a relaxing atmosphere after a full day of exploring the city.
The apartment is super comfortable and clean, and the location makes it easy to walk to many of Rome’s iconic sites. It was the perfect base for discovering this amazing city. From the bedroom window, you can see the beautiful Santa Maria in Trastevere church, which lights up in the evening. It’s truly magical.
Our host was incredibly kind, responsive, and full of great tips and recommendations for visiting Rome. Her messages made everything smooth and easy — a real plus!
Highly recommended! 🙌
- Patricia (10/5): We enjoyed our stay very much! - It was clean, comfortable.
Very close to square.
The host was very helpful
- Sharon (10/5): Perfection in an apartment in the best location in Rome. - After 2 months travelling and 17 different apartments this place in Rome gets our vote as the best apartment we’ve stayed in. Incredible location. Perfectly laid out space. The views from the windows! Fantastic bed. Wonderful linen and great pillows. Everything has been thought about and the host is generous. Plenty of coffee pods etc. Thank you so much Nadia. There was absolutely nothing to not like except we wish we’d stayed longer!
- Maureen (9/5): Superb -
- Olga (10/5): Great apartment and location. - Great apartment, all amenities provided. Location is excellent .
- Simon (9/5): Great location and cosy flat - Property in great location close to bars and restaurants. The area is spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. Host communicated very well Nothing to dislike, it fitted our needs perfectly. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding after checkout but resolved easily.
- Tricia (8/5): A very comfortable apartment in a central location. I'd highly recommend! - The apartment is located in the heart of Trastavere, just off a busy piazza, but still very quiet. Nadia was amazing in terms of communication, and left us some much appreciated welcome gifts (thank you!). I couldn't locate the lockbox code (though I knew that she sent it to me), but she had a local contact who helped me (as she was out of town). The small kitchen was well stocked with equipment (though we didn't cook as we were only there for three days), but it was great for breakfast/snack foods!
It's a great little apartment in a bustling neighbourhood! The supply of coffee was a little shy, so we had to buy our own. No big deal, just a little feedback... :)
- Mark (10/5): We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience on our first visit to Rome. - This was my first visit to Rome so I can’t say how Imperial House compares with other similarly-priced options, but it was perfect for us. Nadia (the host) was super helpful with lots of clear communication and handy tips, and she even met us at the apartment with a chilled bottle of Prosecco and some snacks. Her restaurant recommendation for dinner was also a winner and exactly the kind of place I was hoping for - local and authentic with hardly any tourists. The apartment itself is perfect for a couple. It’s dual aspect, which I always prefer, small and compact with everything you need for a short stay. The bathroom is super clean with a powerful rainfall shower, the kitchenette is well-equipped (although why anyone would want to cook when staying in Rome makes no sense to me), and the mattress on the bed is firm and comfortable. Location-wise, it ticked all our boxes. The Trastervere neighbourhood is one of those places where every turn of a corner reveals another incredible photo opportunity so be prepared for burning through your phone battery! Most of the key sites (Colosseum, Forum, St. Peter’s, etc) are within a 30-minute walk, and Janiculum Hill and the gorgeous gardens are just around the corner. I can’t fault Imperial House in any way and would happily stay here again if we return to Rome. Just one final comment. If you’re a very light sleeper, or the kind of person that’s irritated by the sound of church bells, you might want to consider another location. The bells of the Basilica Santa Maria, which is visible from the apartment, chime every 15 minutes, 24/7. We found it to be utterly charming but I appreciate it might not be to everyone’s taste :-)
- Rakesh (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome host
Very helpful with tips on whwre to go and where to eat
Beautiful proprty and great value for money.
- Kimberly (10/5): Great location, comfortable and great communication. - The location was perfect, we love the Trestevre. The property owner met us when we arrived in Rome and showed us around the apartment. She was very friendly and helpful. The view was amazing and the space was very comfortable for our family of 4.
- Penny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tess (9/5): Amazing stay right in the heart of Trastevere! - Great apartment right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Trastevere. Apartment was very clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. Nadia was very attentive throughout my stay and very clear with all information and check in/check out instructions! Would absolutely stay again!
- Yvonne (10/5): We loved our stay ! - We really enjoyed our stay at Imperial House San Calisto 7 - our host was very welcoming and the apartment was perfect for us. We loved the location and all the facilities in the apartment. Nothing .
- Kristin (10/5): Exceptional - Ideal location for exploring Rome and the Trastevere neighbourhood. Nadia was very nice and helpful with anything we needed. Bed was very comfortable and the building was very charming.
- Kudrna (8/5): Very good - Loud but not their fault. Saturday night on the piazza
- Andre (8/5): Very good -
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alain (10/5): The rooms are excellent, top location. The Host is very friendly and helpful… I will definitely recommend - The rooms are excellent and clean, top location.
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional - It is a large and centrally located apartment with an amazing view of the square. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, but all the tourist spots are also available within a walk or a bus drive (depends on your physical condition :)). Nadia is a great host and we felt ourselves very comfortable staying here!
- Rafael (10/5): A great place to stay in Rome! - Beautiful, comfy, and very clean apartment in a lovely area of Trastevere. Only a 1-minute walk to many nice restaurants, but still on a quiet street. It has a very nice view: from one side, a picturesque street, and from the other side, Santa Maria plaza and church. Walking distance (max 30 minutes) to many of Rome's main spots, like the Forum, Vittorio Emanuele II Monument, Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Vatican, etc. The hosts were very kind; they gave us the keys in person and showed us the apartment. I had to work during my stay, and the Wi-Fi was very fast, which was helpful. A place we'd love to come back to.
- Stephanie (10/5): Enjoyable place in Roma - Lovely appartement with gréât location surrounding with restaurants The AC in summer is a bit small
- Yelyzaveta (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (9/5): Perfect location and great host. I'll be recommending to my friends. - Amazing location and great space Nothing
- Elyes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roisin (10/5): Great vibes - The area it was located was nice. Great view from windows. Comfortable beds. Really nice shower. It felt very safe and secure. I fell over the step in the apartment in the middle of the night
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (7/5): Overall we stayed there only 2 nights and we enjoyed that it was walking distance to good spots! The staff is super nice - Location was prime, walking distance to most attractions. Flavio was super helpful and stayed in contact with any questions we had. The parking was a hassle and the pillows were hard a rock. They did not provide any iron for clothes and no hand soap…. Also if you want quiet at night this is not the place. It’s close to restaurants so people drink and make noise after midnight.
- Rob (10/5): Will book it again next time. - Very athmospheric location in the popular Trastevere area. Tremendous view on the Santa Maria in Trastevere which definitely deserves a visit. Close to the Tiber river, and plenty of restaurants. The apartment is very nice and very clean. Good shower, good beds. Very friendly host. Nothing to dislike at all.
- Martha (10/5): Perfect! - It was perfect, the location, size and quality exceeded expectations. Staff were really helpful. The steps in the room were a bit of a trip hazard!
- Aleksandar (10/5): Gem at the very heart of Trastevere! - The place is amazing, don’t miss it! None
- Karon (10/5): Absolutely wonderful , met by the owners who were helpful - Perfect location, great restaurants & beautiful view Absolutely nothing
- Nancy (10/5): Newly Renovated Apartment in the Heart of Trastevere - The apartment is beautifully renovated, with all new furniture and appliances. The host Francesca was exceptionally kind and available. You are in the center of nightlife in Trastevere, with lots of activity around (and noise, but which never bothered us). We hope to return! Nothing!
