Guest Reviews
- Ele (9/5): Super! Niente.

- Alwyn (10/5): A great stay where the welcome from the host enhances the visit - Casa Ferrari is a clean, comfortable and homely bed and breakfast. It is conveniently located in a very quiet side street but only about 10 mins walk from the city centre. The best however is the welcome and helpfulness of the host who is very happy to take the time to talk about Bulgarian history and life which really makes a difference to the whole visit. None - all good!
- Allison (10/5): - It felt authentic. Innkeeper helped me with my laundry, which was much appreciated. I most appreciated speaking with a real Bulgarian and learning about Bulgarian history. The area was fine. More residential than touristy but walkable or easy bus ride to most things.
- alexis (10/5): Exactly what we needed for a quick visit to Sofia. - Perfect convenient location, and the host offered a lot of helpful information.
- Stanimir (10/5): -
- Elsie Ray (8/5): Good stay with helpful host. - Breakfast ok but limited.
- Fabio (10/5): -
- Attila (10/5): Friendly, real, comfy and good value place - This guy gets it. This is what B&B felt like at its infancy, before it became a property business ROI machine. Here you have actual conversations and human atmosphere. Host is very friendly, joins for breakfast chat, and is a really wise and cool person, who is happy to talk tourist things, history, and life. Overall the place has 3 small rooms, with a huge shared central room, so it must be fun for friend groups. Amenities, location, and basics are fine. Furniture is amazing and well kept antics. Breakfast is basic but local and fresh. I traveled for business, but will come back with family. :)

- Ole Sparre (9/5): Fantastic owner and comfortable guesthouse. - Peaceful area, quite close to center. Rooms and other very clean and in good order. The owner was fantastic, informative about everything including national history and polices as well as the geopolitical situation. He also helped in finding a parking space. Breakfast also outstanding. Bed sheets a bit thin for the colder season, thus warmer duvets e.g. from IKEA would help.

- Martin (10/5): - Extrem freundlicher Gastgeber.
Rien

- Therese (10/5): The warmth of a host and lovely simple accommodation. - Ludmil is the most wonderful host. He was always easy to communicate with, met me on arrival, and shared helpful and informative stories over breakfast. Breakfast was traditional with such delicious Bulgarian yoghurt, juice and coffee.
This is set up as a true bed & breakfast. I had complete privacy in my room, with air conditioning and private shower/toilet. There are only three guest rooms and the opportunity to meet other guests at breakfast if you wish.
The rooms are basic and have everything you need. The art on the wall is a lovely simple style.
The area is easy to walk to the centre and safe to return to even as a single woman late at night.
- Maurine (10/5): Beautiful, well appointed place! - Everything is so clean and well prepared—so many amenities such as kitchen, laundry, good breakfast, excellent host. It’s also close to a market, ATM, pizza place, shops, main streets. Nothing
- Hendrik (10/5): Very good - All good Very happy
- Justine (10/5): Exceptional - Casa Ferrari is extremely well located. My room and bed were very comfortable, super clean, and had an ensuite bathroom. Ludmil is a fabulous host and very helpful. I'm looking forward to staying in Casa Ferrari again.
- Katherine (9/5): Superb - Welcoming and informative host. Easy walk to Metro
- Andy (8/5): A good stay overall... - Owner (Ludmil) was very helpful and informative. Soap dispenser in the shower wasn't working for first 2 mornings (of 3) and small shower curtain makes it difficult not to flood the floor.
Breakfast with eggs, cold meat and fruit would have suited us better, but there were plenty of alternatives and different choices, so no one went hungry! Ludmil will also provide eggs (for example), if requested.
- Luca (9/5): Simply Amazing - The passion of the Owner is simply amazing.
Professional
- Gregor (10/5): Exceptional - everything very nice. highly recommended if you are looking for an alternative to a normal hotel.
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Neil (10/5): An excellent stay. There was nothing that Ludmil would not do to help us. - We enjoyed traditional Bulgarian breakfasts served by our host Ludmil who told us all about Bulgarian history. We loved his passion for his country and for making his guests fell at home.
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Banri (10/5): Exceptional - Owner is so kind!!
- Oleksandr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denitsa (10/5): Exceptional - I didn’t stay at the property, but the owner took great care of me and I was accommodated at a hotel nearby. I will definitely want to go back and stay at the property next time.
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wei (9/5): great experience and reasonable price. - very friendly host who gave detail introduction on history and culture of Sofia. some part of outside road under the construction.
- Vidyadutt (10/5): Centrally located property in a quiet neighbourhood - Casa Ferrari is on a quiet street yet close to the city centre. The main shopping street, Vitosha Boulevard, and the main attractions are a few minutes away. The closest metro station "National Palace of Culture" is just 5 minutes on foot.
The B&B was neat and clean and had classic furniture that added to the beauty of the interior. It has all the basic amenities required to make you feel at home away from home.
The host Ludmil is a kind and helpful person, who is very knowledgeable about the city, Bulgarian history and culture - and he takes great pride in it. He explained about Bulgarian culture and history like a professional tour guide and suggested the places to visit. Whenever possible, Ludmil made sure to provide traditional Bulgarian breakfasts and explained how they were prepared.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience staying at Casa Ferrari B&B and I would choose it again if I travel back to Sofia.
- Dominik (10/5): Amazing place run by amazing host - Casa Ferrari surprised us with very convenient location in a close proximity to the most important tourist attractions in Sofia. The city centre is very walkable. The place itself was lovely, with easy access, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. We were greeted by Ludmil, the host, who offered us a delicious breakfast and short summary of rich and extremely interesting history of Bulgaria. We could count on his recommendations too.
- Christopher (10/5): Excellent accommodation. - Short walk to city centre and close to metro. Room was spotlessly clean and very good breakfast. The host is very knowledgeable about Bulgarian history and interesting to talk with.
- Leonie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gianluca (10/5): Exceptional - A great place to stay in a perfect location. Ludmil is a fantastic host who is extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Looking forward to returning to Sofia and Casa Ferrari!
- Florian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional - The host is a helpful and kind person. He's interesting and educated too. The rooms were bigger than expected and very clean. The location was perfect for sightseeing and dining.
- Edijs (10/5): Exceptional - It was nice and clean and very Good location close to everything in city center and transport
- Janine (9/5): A peaceful haven with a great host, close to the centre of Sofia - The location of the Casa Ferrari was very good - in a quiet side street close to the city centre just 10 minutes on foot to the nearest underground station and about 15 minutes walk to the lively Vitosha pedestrian boulevard.
We liked the fact that in spite of the central/urban location, our room in the B&B, which faced the rear garden, was very quiet and peaceful, with no traffic noise. The aircon was also a great boon as temperatures in Sofia climbed into the 30s. The B&B was spotlessly clean and simply but nicely furnished, with comfortable beds and easy chairs. Our host, Ludmil, made us very welcome and was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
For breakfast, our host provided a different Bulgarian speciality pastry each morning which gave us a great introduction to the local cuisine.
Ludmil also told us a great deal about the history of Bulgaria which was very interesting, and best of all, was able to take us to the gorgeous Rila Monastery and the beautiful Boyana Church close to Sofia, acting as our personal guide on a private tour - a very memorable and enjoyable day! The B&B is a ground-floor apartment in an older style building. When you first enter through the main door of the building, it feels a bit grim, but a few steps upwards take you to the B&B's own front door and through to the peaceful 'oasis' that is the Casa Ferrari.
- Paul (10/5): We have a new friend in Sofia - Quiet, clean and the host was exceptional. We were there for almost a week and had a wonderful experience. We felt at home Nothing
- Brittney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brittney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (9/5): Would definitely stay at Casa Ferrari again when we visit Sofia. - My husband and I loved the Bulgarian breakfast provided by the host! Not only that, the host was a history buff and told us very interesting facts about Sofia and Bulgaria in general. He also recommended where to go for walks, where to eat typical Bulgarian dishes, and where to shop for rose and lavender products. Nothing to put here, as my husband and I loved our stay at Casa Ferrari.
- Berkan (10/5): Exceptional - Mr Ludmil is an excellent host, knows and loves his city and incredibly kind. He was one of the friendliest people I've met on my travels. Location is very safe, walkable, and quiet on nights. You can't ask more. Oh and lovely bulgarian breakfast.
- Joseph (10/5): Stay here and you will love the experience. - Our host, Ludmil, loves his job, his city, and his country, and generously spreads his enthusiasm to each guest. He offered to take us on a tour to Rita Monastery and Boyana Church, two places we might not have been able to see without his assistance. He started each day with a favorite Bulgarian pastry and ideas for where to go, both in Sofia and around the country. He was a terrific first experience to start our trip. Ludmil does a fine job with all the details of Casa Ferrari and sightseeing.
- Alisha (9/5): Superb -
- Satya (10/5): Super Host ! Very friendly and know quite a lot about local history and eager to explain about it ! Breakfast can be a b - Super Host ! Breakfast can be better with some fruits !
- Ian (5/5): Passable - The owner was very friendly I was after a B&B that was staffed full time. That's not the case here. It's room rental with breakfast. The breakfast was very limited. I think Booking.com should make these things clear.
- Christoph (10/5): Exceptional -

- Denis (9/5): Comfortable, friendly and clean B&B near to key Sofia attractions. Excellent alternative to a Hotel. - Very comfortable b&b with some extra facilities such as free use of the kitchen, washing machine, iron and clothes rack. Wifi, too.
Very clean and presentable
The owner is very approachable and will engage in conversation over breakfast, especially Bulgarian history and politics. It's like staying in someone's home certainly a different experience to a hotel!
The location is good too - a short walk to the metro and also to the main shopping boulevard (about 5 to 7 mins leisurely walk). The bathroom is rather small and the shower will leak water on the floor.
- Kubo (10/5): Wonderful!! - The owner is the best. Thank you for bulgarian traditional breakfast and mindful conversation every morning.

- Janis (9/5): Very enjoyable memories - Breakfast was in Bulgarian national style, which I appreciate positively. No comments
- Andreea (8/5): Ok for short visits to Sofia - I had the single room, which is one of the 3 bedrooms in the apartment. The kitchen (common space) was well equipped with a fridge, kettle, utensils and a microwave.
The place was clean and overall comfy. The bed was quite narrow, though, but manageable.
Great wifi connection, which was really important since I had to work.
Ludmil (the host) helped me buy parking tickets when I arrived. 1. The breakfast part of the BnB. Out of the 4 mornings there, I had breakfast in two of them. One day I decided to skip, and on the last one, I left at 6:30AM. The food consisted of yogurt and pastry taken from a local bakery. My issue was not with the food per se (though some variety might be nice for people on a low carb diet), but with the schedule. It seems 8:30AM sharp was the time when the host came with the pastry. I agreed to this for the first morning, since there were some other guests, and they needed to eat early so they could leave. However, for the remaining mornings, i've asked him if he could either come later (10AM) of just leave it in the kitchen, since I was working and I didn't really have the time until then. He agreed, but on the next morning, at 8:30, I heard him pacing nervously in the common room, where food was served. I came out, said hello and that I would eat later, since i had a video conference I needed to attend. He expected me to make conversation and eat there, in front of him and seemed disappointed I wasn't available. He said we'd be talking the next day, since it was Saturday I didn't have to work. To be honest, I skipped breakfast the next day in order to avoid this awkwardness. There is a thin line between being helpful and welcoming, and overstepping.
2. The parking: there's parking on the street if you're lucky and it costs 1 leva/hour. This should be mentioned in the description, since it adds to the costs one may or may not be willing to pay.
- Gili (10/5): Exceptional - Super friendly staff, great location. We really felt at home
