Guest Reviews
- Michael (8/5): Great location but a bit more detail required to make it a perfect stay. - The view and quietness was great. Good location. The front verandah overlooking the ridge was dirty. Had not been cleaned prior to arrival.
The driveway down to the guest house was not suited to our 2wd car. if known would have taken the 4wd. Was unlevel and potholes from recent rain washouts. the car stayed at the top of the hill for duration of stay and did some cardio walking up and down the hill every time venturing out.
- russell (9/5): We had a restful stay which was what we wanted. Less than 5 minutes from Montville for a coffee. - The accommodation was well appointed and clean. Everything functioned as it should. Coffee machine and good beans was a bonus. Great balcony for a read, wine and cheese looking at the sunset, or a sleep on the day bed.
- Madgen (8/5): -
- Gavin (10/5): Beautiful, private and close to town - Beautiful and private cottage with just the right amount of space for a couple for a weekend.
- Zoe (8/5): A nice three night stay in a lovey little house with long views. - Private and attractive - the view is long and lovely. Well appointed and laid out. Loved being able sit out on the veranda and chill out.
- Anna (10/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Secluded eco cabin with everything you need for a romantic getaway. - Secluded, romantic and had everything we needed for our stay. The eco cabin was well insulated so we didnt even use the fireplace despite our intentions to. Obsessed with this little eco cabin. The perfect quiet escape for our honeymoon, honestly my dream house. The bed was so comfy we are shopping to buy the same one for home. Driveway is narrow and steep, but our little car had no issues. Honestly wish we stayed longer than 3 nights.
- Joel & Courtney (10/5): - This place had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We loved the fireplace, bath & taking in the beautiful views from the veranda. So nice to be able to bring along our puppy as well. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Marbie!
- Rachael (10/5): -
- Megan (6/5): With a bit of work this place could be absolutely amazing - The views, peacefulness and general theme of the house were amazing! Great vibe and great location. We were expecting a lot more from this place for the amount we paid. Unfortunately there were a few things broken/not working as they should (blinds, fireplace) and the place was quite dirty - stains on the sheets, mouldy cushions, stains on rug etc.
- Ben (7/5): A great place to chill and relax but some maintenance required from the owner to bring it up to a “luxury” standard - Great location, quiet, secluded. It was clean and well presented. Amenities were good. The exterior of the property has been poorly maintained. Gardens are overgrown and look nothing like the photos. The timber floors inside were not flush and had numerous gaps between boards. We stayed for 4 nights in winter and only had enough firewood supplied for 1 night. The deck furniture is old, dirty and needs replacing.
- Sheree (9/5): Superb -
- Goodwin (10/5): Exceptional - The house was perfect – it had everything you need to feel at home before slipping off into your daily adventures. It was such a peaceful and well-equipped space, and we couldn’t have asked for more.
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (9/5): Perfect - Everything was so clean and presented so lovely. Thankfully it wasn’t me that had to take the car up and down the driveway lol.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, views and amazing kitchen.
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Diana (10/5): Outstanding accomodation with everything you could possibly need in a secluded hideaway - Stunning location, beautiful accommodation with everything you could ever need. So beautifully presented and to be pet friendly made this the most perfect stay. Everything was great, lots of spiders were inside which might bother other guests but that’s what you get when you’re in the hills. Maybe providing some cooking oil and salt/pepper would be nice but not expected.
- Booth (10/5): Absolutely wonderful, pleasantly surprised. Very peaceful, quiet and relaxing weekend in Montville. - I likes that it felt rustic whilst at the same time being very modern in terms of high quality amenities, appliances and other creature comforts. Like the comfortable and quality bed and bathroom, coffee machine, nice new kitchen. Even if you wanted to make a fire, the fireplace would be amazing and the timber was supplied. The greenery out the back currently needs to be cut back quite a lot. Only to match what is advertised in the photos. But it did not intrude on the actual property. Just would have been nicer.
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Damiano (9/5): Perfect comfortable clean country retreat - Beautiful quiet and private location, very well appointed guest house with lots of thoughtful inclusions like coffee machine, Google speaker for music, bath salts for the bath. Spotlessly clean. Very well located, close to Montville and lots of nice walks. Driveway needs a little TLC but it's fine we didn't have any trouble with a conventional car.
- Loretta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kato (10/5): Extremely Happy and cannot wait to go back there again! - We had a lovely time at Fletchers Ridge - Main House. We will definitely recommend it to family and friends. The view was amazing, the house was very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable and easy access to Montville shopping town. We'll definitely be back again. The internet wifi dropped out every now and then, but, it was ok! We enjoyed our stay very much and all the facilities the property had to offer.
- Monique (10/5): Relaxing - Loved the privacy and all the little things like shampoo and conditioner provided amongst other things. I absolutely loved the bath in the bedroom because of the outlook.
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, very peaceful yet close to attractions.
- Denise (10/5): Magnificent Villa, beautifully styled in a wonderful town - What a beautiful villa this is. Excellent location just a km or so from main town. The villa is so beautifully styled and offers a luxurious accommodation and yet the comforts of home.
The outlook is divine and the sun trapped balcony delightful.
The bathroom is fantastic with a great shower. The kitchen has everything you need and all items are top quality.
We highly recommend Fletchers as a beautiful couples accommodation in an absolutely wonderful part of the world. The only thing I’d mention is the steep driveway, but if you take care and follow the reversing instructions to exit you will be fine.
- Megan (8/5): Relax by the fire or in the bathtub looking at the rolling hills - Loved the fireplace, bath, comfortable bed and proper coffee machine including providing fresh coffee beans. Also loved being able to take our 2 cavaliers. Not the fault of the property but the weather was pretty wet the whole week were were there so being off the grid we needed to be mindful of electricity use. Wasn’t a real issue though.
- Barry (10/5): We had a great time -
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caitlin (9/5): Lovely weekend away - Very well appointed and extremely comfortable house with plenty of room for our family group. Close to town centre and Kondalilla Falls Unreliable internet connectivity so TV streaming services were not available for most of the stay. Meant the kids had to play hide and seek instead!
- Courtney (10/5): Will definitely stay here again. We were amazed by the views and the luxurious guest house!! The facilities were modern - Will definitely stay here again. We were amazed by the views and the luxurious guest house!! The facilities were modern and clean. The basics provided (firewood during winter, oils, salt and pepper etc) made the stay even more enjoyable. Perfect romantic place for couples. Thank you fletchers ridge
- Lorna (8/5): Very good - Location The outdoor furniture needs cleaning to be able to enjoy it.
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shona (8/5): Very good -
- Tony (8/5): Ovwrall great just feedback to improve even further - We love Marbie checking in with us and providing some wine and helping with remote batteries. 1. Provide mosquito Coils for the deck - when midges and mosquitos arrive due to all the rain
2. The driveway is not easy to navigate and is a bit rough and at the bottom muddy and churned up - in a few places - understand there has been a lot of rain but think it needs some work from the house down to the guest house.
3. Apart from the rather small patch of grass outside it is a bit limiting for dogs bigger than small ones, to walk or get exercise - if you created a dog run somewhere I’m sure it would attract more repeat visits from dog owners.
Anyway just letting you know so you can improve your repeat occupancy rates.
- Sharon (10/5): Very enjoyable stay with our little Cavoodle. - Nice sized cabin. Very private. Probably needs the Lantana growing at the back to be mowed.
- Erin (9/5): We have already recommended this place to people since staying here, we really did love it. Felt like a home away from h - Loved the styling and loved all the personal touches like hair tools and different teas, bath salts for the bathtub and shower products. Games to play and access to streaming on the tv. So considerate!! My only note is the mattress as it sunk in the middle and made for uncomfortable sleep. The comfort of the mattress was wonderful but the sagging part put our bodies into a weird spot and we were sore when waking.
- Neroli (9/5): Superb -
- Joshua (10/5): Would recommended to anyone - Property has everything you need, couldn’t rate the quality enough.
- Josue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zoe (9/5): Well equipped guest house stay for a weekend at Montville. - It is well styled, fully furnished and is clean and comfortable for two with what you need for a weekend in the hinterland. Easy drive to Montville; Mapleton and Maleny. The aircon and fans were a must as it was super hot and humid so we appreciated those. We did have an issue but the owner was responsive and it was resolved which we really appreciated. Hard to keep up with the gardens in the summer so may have happened quickly but the lawn was long and overall garden was abit overgrown which impacted the view more than we expected from the photos.
- Rebecca (10/5): Will definitely book again in the future! - I loved everything about this property! Thank you so much for having us!
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home with fantastic views. Very comfortable
- Barb (9/5): A relaxing getaway in a luxurious guest house nestled among the rolling hills - The modern guest house was designed to perfection with the comfort and convenience of guests a high priority. We even heard the cows during our stay! The bed and furniture was comfortable and the decor was luxurious. The stunning country kitchen was well equipped (sharp knives and scissors!) and a pleasure to use. The full coffee machine and beans were much appreciated! We spent a lot of time on the comfy daybed on the deck and watched the beautiful sunsets. I even watched the sunset and TV from the bathtub!
Fletcher’s Ridge was a beautiful place to stay, relax and explore the surrounding areas. Everything has been well thought out to provide a comfortable stay. We loved being able to bring our two furry boys too.
Thank you for your hospitality!
Barb & Jason We were so happy to be able to bring our two very well behaved Cavaliers with us. Although the deck had a soft/screen gate, we would have felt more comfortable if the house had side gates as the top of the driveway was a main road. We had to be with our dogs at all times outside on the grass. Grassed area was a lot smaller compared to photos online. A fire pit would have been the icing on the cake!
During the day, the traffic on the main road can be heard, which felt strange considering the amazing view!
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (9/5): Superb -
- Tiffany (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (8/5): Perfect winter escape. - Quiet. No people. Private. Self contained. Clean. Modern. Entry a breeze. Coffee machine, fire, bed linen, bath and Tv/streaming were great. Fog and the rain made an awesome stay with the views. Lounge was a little uncomfortable. The drive is steep which was fine in our 4wd - wouldn’t recommend a sports car.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Spent our wedding anniversary here and it was absolutely magical! - Loved staying here, beautiful spot and stunning views! We made the most of the bath and the fire place which was perfect for a weekend in winter! bonus points for being pet friendly as-well as we were able to bring our dog! That I couldn’t bring the bath home with me :D haha
- Kylie (10/5): Excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere in that area that’s pet friendly and it has a great view. - I loved it was pet friendly and the bath was so relaxing. Coffee machine was also fantastic.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful and well equipped property with a great outlook.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Lucinda (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing property, we stayed as a husband and wife, baby, toddler, and aunty.
The property: There were 2 parking spaces (one covered). Heaps of room inside; as well as 3 bedrooms there was a small study which is where we ended up putting baby in her portacot. As well as the inside lounge/ dining, there was a large lounge set and dining table on the balcony so a large group could comfortably stay. 2 bathrooms (ensuite with shower off the main bedroom, separate bathroom with a bath and shower and a separate toilet). A full set of toiletries was provided and hair drier in the ensuite. TVs in main lounge and master bed, preloaded with netflix, stan, abc iview etc and there was fast wifi throughout the property. Fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and full espresso machine (!) in addition to a pod machine. I appreciated that as well as the usual pots and pans, cooking oil and some seasoning, cling wrap, and Tupperware etc were available. The view off the balcony/main living area was gorgeous, our littles enjoyed watching the cows in the fields.
Location: The property is off the main road but is down a (steep) hill, and was very quiet with no trouble from road noise. 10 minutes from town, and half an hour to ginger factory, botanic gardens, and australia zoo. Not really complaints as our stay was lovely, just to note
- the property is off grid on solar battery power, so you can't run the ducted aircon/heating all night (there were lots of blankets provided)
- there was no firewood provided for the house, maybe due to the season (we stayed in May though it was quite cold at night)
- a manual for the espresso machine would have been helpful :)
- Elizabeth (10/5): Luxury and relaxation on Fletchers Ridge - The host, Marbie, was lovely and extremely responsive. The space is modern but welcoming; the design of the home allows plenty of light. There are various places to relax within the home as well as out on the back deck. It is wonderfully quiet.
Views of the ridge are gorgeous.
Fantastic internet speed.
The quality of the hard and soft furnishings is truly exceptional, and every little detail, amenity, thing you could want is already there. We were there for nine days and definitely plan to return in the future.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Leanne (10/5): amazing! - Everything about this property is spectacular!
The hosts have thought about every little detail and we have never stayed at a place that truly felt so homely.
comfy beds, beautiful products, amazing artwork! the only thing we didn’t like was that we left!

- Lisa (10/5): We had a wonderful stay. I’m so pleased we discovered Fletchers Ridge guesthouse. - Whatever need we had was met with style and quality. The bath was glorious, the daybed delightful and the view was gorgeous. A top location where we were only minutes to town. Beautiful touches throughout. I really couldn’t fault it.

- Dinusha (10/5): Spectacular view and luxury accomodation - Incredible view and accomodation- we loved our stay!
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanja (6/5): Pleasant - Door code entry We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. The property doesn’t cater for 4. This is a little misleading and it’s not worth the price.
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenton (10/5): Incredible! - The whole weekend and fletchers ridge was just sensational. This was a very special weekend for me a I proposed to my fiancee at fletchers ridge. I could not have asked for a better experience. The views and location was just amazing too.
Marbie was an excellent host and offered his professional photographer skills free of charge when I proposed to my now fiancee. The photos turned out absolutely amazing and will be something we can treasure the rest of our lives.
This is my favorite getaway in Australia by far. We will be coming back many times in the years to come. It was all incredible. Nothing bad about this place at all.
