Guest Reviews
- alain (10/5): - L’hospitalité la disponibilité le calme la propreté et la distance courte de Trastevere Rien
- Ian (8/5): A great stay, an amazing host. - We had a wonderful time in the city, helped in a big way by our host at the property, Gian Carlo. His knowledge and recommendations of interesting sites and restaurants enabled us to find some hidden gems. The property is spacious and the facilities are as described. Living in Gian Carlo’s home enabled us to enjoy an authentic Italian experience. There was nothing to dislike, many thanks Gian Carlo.
- Belinda (10/5): Bellisimo! 😍 - The host, Giancarlo! The bed. The porch. Giancarlo’s food recommendations, ask early and make reservations even if you end up needing to cancel. None to note.
- Inessa (10/5): Perfect location for an authentic Rome experience - This house is magical! Beautifully designed, with precious paintings, everything clean, comfortable and made with exquisite taste. I really appreciated staying with real Roman family, that gave me local tips of a lifetime: the kind of things you’d never discover as a tourist! Giancarlo is a legend, we had very interesting conversations, and he was also very considerate of my time and my space and helped me in my plans to see Rome on my own. I’ll surely stay in this house next time I’m In Rome. The location is serene, on the hill with beautiful garden, but in 10-15 min walking distance from lively trastevere. So it was a perfect balance to sleep very well and rest on my holiday, but also to easily engage in city life and tourist attractions - whenever I wanted.
- Karyn (9/5): - The host, Gian Carlo was very kind and helpful. He chauffeured us to/from several places and made dinner reservations for us at a place he recommended. His overall knowledge of Rome and its history was so interesting!!
- Bagdon (5/5): Passable -
- Christine (10/5): a perfect oasis from which to explore Rome - Beautifully decorated apartment in luxury building with elevator, private garden and wrap around terrace. Host could not have been nicer. Made dinner reservations at great local restaurant for us and drove us there as my husband has some issues with walking on uneven ground. Sound advice on things to see in Trastevere....even a guidebook to Rome at our disposal. Typical Italian breakfast with great coffee. Could easily stay a week and explore Rome from here. Apartment right on bus stop to Piazza Venezia. Will recommend to friends and family travelling to Rome would have liked a fresh pastry in the morning to go with my coffee. would have liked a wash cloth (a mostly American thing) ..really minor stuff
- Podkorytov (9/5): Exceptionally designed peaceful refuge with a perfect location - Amazing location and internal design of h the e property! Very hospitable host who did everything possible to make my stay memorable
- Zoltán (10/5): Exceptional - The room is beautifully furnished, the bed is extremely comfortable. The room and its private bathroom were very clean and tidy. Breakfast prepared by the host is delicious and sufficient. He's adjusted his morning schedule to suit our needs. The owner was extremely kind and attentive every day, speaks very good English, which is very helpful and nice to talk to. The apartment is very well located, there are many restaurants nearby, the bus stops in front of the house.
I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.
- Stanislav (10/5): Calm place next to the pulsed life, with an attentive host who is a part of the experience. - We didn´t have many expectations about Trastevere and mainly didn't have experience living there. But we met Giancarlo, and it was like a meeting with history, art, Roman life, and hospitality in one. Although Trastevere is more connected with restaurants and bars, we spent nights in a very calm place with an attentive host who prepared breakfast, helped us with transport, and shared the experience of his full-fledged life. It's a shame that we came to discover the beauty of Rome and not to discuss life.
- Danielle (9/5): Superb - Very little for breakfast
- Melissa (8/5): Very good - The owner/host was a wonderful host. Very helpful and informative.
- Karen (10/5): We loved the neighborhood and the apartment but our favorite part was making a lifelong friend with Gian Carlos! - The apartment is very beautiful with a balcony that overlooks a garden where you can hear nothing but birdsong. That we had to leave it.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Murray (8/5): A good location and a new friend we hope to revisit - great location and the owner was so helpful and knowledgeable, including driving us to some special locations
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ani (9/5): Superb - Amazing location, gorgeous apartment, very interesting and knowledgeable host. One thing to note is that it may not be immediately obvious from the description that the host lives there too. All went well and we enjoyed his company, but it’s something you would want to know beforehand.
- Richard (9/5): We enjoyed the hospitality and comfort of our stay. - The host, Gian Carlo, is very kind and helpful. He lives on the premises and is often available to provide sightseeing and restaurant recommendations. He even gave us a ride over to St Peter’s one morning. The apartment is a short (10 minutes) but steep uphill walk from the center of Travestere. Not a problem if you’re wearing comfortable shoes and don’t mind a little exercise.
- Elisa (10/5): Living the real Rome - Giancarlo was a fantastic host! He showed us his favourite restaurant in Monteverde where we managed to have a late dinner. He was always available, nice and with a very good conversation, very helpful. Location is perfect, just 10 min away from main areas of Trastevere, in a calm area next to a parc with amazing views. Bus 75 (that goes to Colisseum) just stops at the door and you can just walking to Vatican. All was very clean and bathroom was quite big and full of products to use in the shower. Capuccino at breakfast was very good. We hope to be back one dat. Grazie mille!!
