Guest Reviews
- Mark (10/5): -
- Lucy (7/5): Nice clean place to stay. - Clean and well decorated. Home has been renovated and is comfortable. I didn’t like the messages that seem to be a treat about more money taken out if the lights weren’t turned off etc. it’s unnecessary. A simple “ please ensure you turn off the lights would suffice
Also it was cold as only a spilt system was available for heating. Only one toilet.
- Corinna (8/5): Very good - The location was central to everything we needed to access, and the house was beautiful, but it was very chilly upon arrival; however, it eventually warmed up. The main bedroom mattress is rock hard, and we were expecting two bathrooms with two toilets to help everyone get ready each morning for the tournament. It's a little tricky to keep everything clean when it's so wet, with giant puddles on the stairs, and it's uphill to carry luggage. So, bring your muscles and Ugg boots to keep your feet warm indoors. The mattress in the main bedroom is so hard and thin. Dual washing machine and dryer have lengthy cycles (would recommend adding a clothes hoist as an option in laundry, or some step-by-step instructions). We used the towel ladder out of the main bathroom to dry what we could, and it was much faster. No plug for the kitchen sink. Four guests with two face washers and one small milk could have supplied two, as the guests settled in after a big drive and were unable to check in until 3 pm.
- Tamara (8/5): Very good -
- Rose (8/5): A comfortable stay - A comfortable stay in lovely Albury. The house was well-appointed, and the cleanliness was excellent. We would have appreciated more transparency in terms of the bathrooms - only one bathroom has a toilet. Also, the deadlock was quite difficult to navigate - the key consistently jammed, which was tricky to navigate in the dead of the night.
- Janet (9/5): Albury/Wodonga gem - The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Beds were comfy and the house was fairly spacious and in very good condition. The key/access arrangements were easy (some places are a nightmare). Communication with the managing agent was pleasant and professional. I marked down slightly because the sofa in the lounge room was uncomfortable and there wasn't enough room for four adults. The one chair was useless. As we didn't spend much time sitting around it wasn't a big problem for us but could be an issue for some groups, especially if there are more people.
- Tanswell (10/5): Lovely property perfectly located near the centre of town! - The location was super close to the centre of town and nice and quiet, the house was clean and really well appointed with everything you could need for a decent stay. Nothing, it was great!
- Katherine (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - Comfortable beds and great location for what we needed. House needed roasting pan and strainer
- Robyn (8/5): Very good - Had some trouble opening door with key every time.
Would appreciate security light at front, front path and steps not well lit. Needed to use phone torch to see. Front path and steps messy with leaf litter. House well appointed and clean. Beds ok but found pillows very uncomfortable.
- Pip (9/5): Superb - Good location and good value for money, was great that our family could stay together at the house and spend more time together rather than in separate apartments. Very tidy, clean and a lovely place to stay, would definitely choose here to stay again. The advert did mention there was a coffee machine but it was not on the bench, maybe it was tucked in a cupboard and we didn't find it? Not a big deal, we just bought coffees. We all must have presumed there would be a hair dryer as not one of us packed one. 2 Bathrooms but only one toilet and it is in the bathroom, definitely something to consider if a full house of people.
- Renee (9/5): Superb - Very clean. Good location. Only 1 toilet. The second bathroom is a shower and sink only. Was missing a few kitchen items, like a strainer.
- De (6/5): it was a great stay everything was there, the space was alright for us. - Love the style, old but modern look. Space was excellent. unsure if the linens were cleaned as the linen in the masters bedroom smelled a bit off to me.
- Tracy (10/5): Had a very nice stay in this lovely, centrally located property. Thank you. - Incredibly nice property in a central location very close to Albury town centre. Couldn't find chopping boards and would've been handy to have had some paper towels available.
- Madeline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Libby (8/5): Pleasant property in a good location, just a couple of tweaks to make it a great guest experience - Good location, and tastefully decorated. Well-appointed kitchen. great for cooks.
Big backyard and pleasant front garden (a little steep for people with mobility problems). While the property is advertised with two bathrooms and it does have two showers, there is only one toilet. So the second shower is effectively unavailable if you want to leave the toilet available for other guests (that counts in a three-bedroom house where you might have up to 6 guests).
While the kitchen is great there is no dining area, so we ate our meals on the lounge, there is a small bar table in the kitchen, but certainly not big enough for more than a couple of people to eat at.
The pillows on the beds were awful. The beds need lamps on both sides, plus some sort of power hub for charging phones etc. And each room needs extra blankets (we did find some, but in one room, not in each, so if the other room had gone to bed we would have gotten cold).
The toiletries weren't great, so bring your own (and no hairdryer).
The best properties have the heating or cooling on before guests arrive, at a low setting, so that it doesn't take too long to make the property comfortable when they do. It took some time to get warmth into the house.
Just for the information of future guests, the phone reception is pretty bad, just a factor of location, something the host can't control, but you won't get much work done.
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property in an excellent location. Will definitely book again. Highly recommend a stay here.
- Sarah-jane (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kylie (9/5): Cody and clean - Very clean, cosy and comfortable house. Close to town, well equipped, cute decor. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Easy check in/out. Cold on arrival and took some time to figure out heating. Plenty warm enough once heaters running. Better lighting on the front entrance stairs for night time arrivals would be great.
- Sally (10/5): Would definitely stay at Millers Nook again, great price, location and very homely! - The house was cosy and felt like being in your own home. Property was only a couple of minutes to the town centre and in a beautiful part of town. Great price and definitely better than staying in a motel for a family of 5. Toilet paper was only 1 ply so we bought our own.
- Luke (7/5): Clean property - Millers Nook was extremely clean, quiet and nicely furnished. The heating is poor for such a cold area. We were freezing cold the afternoon we arrived until the heating kicked in a few hours later. A small heater in the bedrooms would be helpful . The main reverse cycle air-conditioning system was old and needed a good clean.
The front door lock is difficult to access. You need to jiggle the door to unlock it.
I went to dry my hair and the hair dryer doesn't work.
The pillows on the bed weren't comfortable, luckily I brought my own pillow.
- Marise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kellie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynette (8/5): Would stay here again. - Property was clean, seemed recently renovated. Loved the high ceilings and large back yard. Struggled to keep the property warm, dining table not big enough.
A BBQ would have been handy.
- Britta (10/5): Exceptional - This place had so much charm. Very clean. Very comfortable
- Virginia (5/5): Very disappointing - I booked the property because it advertised 2 bathrooms as we had elderly people staying. We were very disappointed and upset when we found there was only one toilet which should have been stated in the description. Also for a cold climate the heating was inadequate.
- Kerry (8/5): Very good - House was lovely but you would need a car as it is out in the suburbs. The bakery that was just a few blocks away was fantastic. That there was only one toilet even though the was two bathrooms
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Tanswell (10/5): Exceptional -
- L (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (8/5): Great stay, but a little disappointed that we weren't prepared for 1 toilet. - Location was great with no street noise, air cooling was fantastic. Bed was comfortable and the property was clean. Extra sleeping pillows on the bed and advice on only 1 toilet.
- Rebecca (10/5): Comfortable, clean and quiet - A stylish home with all the modern comforts.
Felt like home.
- Amylee1005 (6/5): Comfortable but don't book if you need 2 bathrooms - House was located in a nice spot. Quiet area, rooms were clean and comfortable. Listed as 2 bathroom. Should be listed as 1 bathroom plus a shower. I specifically booked 2 bathroom as a family member requires their own toilet for medical reasons, upon arrival found only 1 toilet but 2 showers. Was extremely disappointed. It turned out to be quite difficult to manage. We wouldn't book here again.
- Caryn (8/5): Lovely and comfortable home - Charming house, big yard and outdoor dining area. The small bathroom shower recess leaked water all over the bathroom floor.
- Patricia (10/5): Well appointed -dining area needs revamping - Impeccably clean and well presented-excellent facilities. The design meant that any dining would have to be in the back room which was not conducive to an attractive family setting.
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (9/5): Superb -
- Barb (8/5): A lovely place to stay - Very clean, lovely glasses and kitchen equipment. Tastefully decorated. Great showers. Being open plan, took a while to get warm. Electric blankets would have been nice
- Adz84 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerard (10/5): A relaxing warm comfortable stay - Lovely quiet location and private from neighbors
Nice and modern but comfy and practical
Only a few minutes drive to central Albury Information on heating, hot and cold tap directions and dishwasher instructions
- Brett (9/5): Cosy warm house with all the comforts you need for a family weekend getaway. - So homely and warm. Great kitchen Bathroom door handle fell off….we had to try and fix it
- Lachlan (10/5): Very enjoyable stay in an exceptionally comfortable property. - Exceptionally clean and well presented. All good
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (9/5): We will be booking again - Lovely house We would have liked a second toilet
- Mary (10/5): We would stay here again if in Albury. - We were in Albury for a 4 day tournament. Loved going home in the evenings to a beautiful home able to have home cooked meals. There was a leak in the bathroom that caused us to have no water for a couple of hours on our second day. Issue was fixed that day.
- Rose (7/5): excellent property. easy to arrive, stay relax. excellent getaway location. - facilities. style. beds. kitchen is hard to work in with bench. lovely style just not so functional.
