Guest Reviews
- Kimmo (10/5): Just Great! - Superb location near tube station. Many nice restaurants from breakfast to dinner within minutes of walking. It is worthwhile to go to Marchmont st and The Brunswick Centre. No need to go to Soho. :) Noice from street during nights. It makes sense to take earplugs along.
- Linda (10/5): Superb well located apartment - clean and modern - definitely book again ! - Fantastic location - clean , modern apartment - would definitely book again ! Everything was perfect !
- Silvia (9/5): Perfecta elección para visitar Londres - Apartamento, ubicación, anfitrión. Nada
- Gemma (10/5): Fab stay, ideal location - I've stayed in a few different areas in London through the years and this was my favourite. The area was beautiful and wax quiet. The Apartment was ideal, larger than I thought and so clean. We were directly across from the Tube station. We were in oxford street in 11 mins on the tube. Loads of lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance. The host met me from the tube and was based close by in the event of any issues, which we didn't have. I would stay here again. It didn't affect me but there are 3 flights of stairs to the Apartment. I don't mean it as a negative comment but more to highlight. Some people can be fussy
- Darren (9/5): Apartment next to Russel Square tube - Great location right next to the tube. Entry was facilitated by a member of staff and the details of the apartment were explained. Internet access was easy and the service was fast. Great part of London to be in. Some people might find the stairs a little difficult; however, this was no problem for us.
- Marketa (8/5): Great location, warm, after we figured out thermostat set up, well furnitured, needs maintenance. - Location, enough pillows and blankets, well appointed kitchen, responsive owners, clean. Setting up the floor heating was not well explained. The property needs maintenance. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (2nd, according to an European standard) in an old building. The elevator is extremely small.
- Theresa (9/5): Would use again - Location and space in flat was lovely everything you needed but we did not use The clothes horse packed with wet washing which smelt damp and no instructions for to use tv we could only find one chanel which was a shame
- Simon (5/5): Perfect location but that's where the perfection sadly ended - The location was perfect. The apartment block was secure to enter and the room was secure. I sent a video to the host. There were several issues. There was some damp towels drying in the kitchen/lounge from the previous guests, this was a big turn off giving the room a damp feel.
The windows in the lounge/kitchen dont close correctly so were drafty, glad we weren't there in the winter.
Beds were clean but very tired, the duvet barely covered the bed before we got in so was not the most comfortable, the pillows seemed very old and the life had drained out of them some time ago.
There were bare wires exposed in the ensuite shower room cupboard, the drench shower, didn't drench as only approx 20% of holes were clear. The bathroom/shower needed a deep clean tbh. The shower head bracket was not installed, so shower head just lodged over the faucet.
The underfloor heating was useless or we didn't know how to use it correctly - I have suggested a welcome manual to instruct guests.
The shower in the 2nd room was not finished and without a door stop, the glass is likely to break soon.
Access to the top double bunk is only for the adventurous (13-23 yrs) as the triple height step is challenging.
- Anita (9/5): Great location and value for a family or group needing two bedrooms - The location was excellent. And though the apartment was quite small, it allowed privacy for our family (me, my husband and adult daughter) with separate bedrooms, bathrooms and a living area. The apartment was well appointed. The host was very responsive. It was on the third floor and the lift wasn’t working - issue for me with a bad hip and my husband with bad knees. Also there was only one key so we had to coordinate who had the key to be available to let the others back in.
- TCT (5/5): very close to all the facilities - excellent location - The key handover was amazing - and brilliant - thank you sadly the kettle is full of limescale - which means that the taste of the water - is not passable - the steam comes out of the kettle when it boils so therefore you get scalded.
- Vladimir (9/5): - Hele vriendelijke host. Zeer mooi en proper appartement. Centrale ligging.
- Archie J (6/5): Great Location, Meh Accomodations - If you are looking for a lively location close to a Metro, a Pub, three takeout restaurants, a sandwich deli/coffee stop and a Tesco Express this is fantastic! There was also another plaza with a proper grocer and shops and restaurants for a bit more variety. Not to mention you are within a short walking distance to other metro stations and the British Museum. No air condition (not listed amongst the features), but it was how and needing the windows open only provided minor relief for summer temps in London. It also led to a lot of noise coming in from the street level including traffic and conversations of passer-bys. Shower in main suite was also tiny for an averave sized person. Quirky features didn't really do it for us.
- demeersman (6/5): - Locatie Niet proper
- Nic (9/5): Fantastic, we would stay here again. - We loved this apartment! The location is great, right across the road from Russell Square tube, supermarket, pubs and park down the road. The apartment itself was quirky with some cool artwork and a great outlook over the intersection where you could sit with a cup of tea and watch people coming and going. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, all very neat and tidy. The second bedroom had bunks, the top bunk is a bit of a climb up. There is a shower in this bedroom. There is a separate toilet and basin. Kitchen was adequately stocked, had everything we needed. (3 women staying 76, 52, 19) We liked everything. The only thing for us was that is was on the 3rd floor, we had to drag our luggage up. Note that there is a lift - we just couldn't get it to work?
- Hpt (8/5): Quite ideal if you arrive at st pancras - pleasant, functional, good area minor details (eg pile of towels in the corner of the living room)
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jelena (7/5): Good location, some small repairs and it is almost perfect! - Location was perfect for a family trip! Every room as it is own temperature regulation. 2 toilets and very cool bunk bedroom! Perfect for family. Coffee machine and oven did not work. Was a little bit cold because of old windows, but we got heating to work better then it was ok.
- Casey (9/5): Would stay there again based on location, comfort and amenities. - Location was absolutely fantastic. Big enough for a family a four (university age kids.) Two full bathrooms and 3 fullsize beds were a plus. Warm and comfortable space. Evident that property hasn't had proper upkeep in a while (drains clogged, lights/switches not working, wonky microwave.)
- Ka (10/5): Great - Just opposite to Russell Square Station and has a number of bus routes nearby. Spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is wonderful. We need to walk up stairs to reach the elevator. And then the elevator cannot reach that floor. So we have to carry the luggages on stairs.
- Teresa (8/5): Very good - Location was fantastic and literally across the street from the Russell Square tube station. Roomy flat and comfortable home base. Really great use of space and storage much more roomy than the pics really capture. Lots of options for food/groceries and pubs with fantastic food all within a block. Washing machine was a plus as well as small fans provided. Plenty of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, diswashing etc). Host was responsive weeks before our trip and worked with us on a delayed arrival. Check out was easy, just put the keys in the lockbox and nothing more so that was nice before our long haul flight home. There is a lift but super small and a bit scary so if you have any issues with stairs this is not a good location for you. No toilet paper in either bath at arrival after a 4 hour train ride in - an unfortunate surprise but offered to reimburse us for purchasing. Neither safe was usable host did offer to get another one within a day (we did not request it after all). Intro to the property was really brief, how to lock the door that was pretty much it. Flat has some wear and tear, cracked mirrors on closet doors, handle not secure on shower, just some minor maintenance needed. Instructions for the flat either via email or a folder in the location would be very helpful ( like turning off the heat, where to put the trash, etc) and would prevent alot of back and forth texts to host. The gentleman who was the host was really responsive by text to be fair.
- Liban (8/5): Fantastic location, comfortable apartment with responsive hosts. Highly Recommended! - Fantastic location Water pressure at the shower was low
- Eddy (10/5): Hope to be back soon! - Fantastic location, right beside the tube on Piccadilly Line, and easy connections to all major attractions. Plenty of local eating and grocery options at our doorstep also.
Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful with good communication throughout.
The apartment itself is great, quirky and tasteful interior design, lots of nice mod cons (underfloor heating, tons of storage space, smart TV, good Internet, etc). Our kids loved it. Minor inconvenience being on the third floor with no lift - but staircase was easily navigated.
- Gra (8/5): Very good -
- Bev (10/5): Highly Recommend - Fabulous place. Great location Nothing
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (9/5): We had a wonderful stay. It was very comfortable and felt homely. Fantastic location near great restaurants, the Tube st - Great location. Very friendly hosts. Quirky homely apartment. The WiFi was a bit patchy.
