Guest Reviews
- Geeta (8/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- Cassandra (10/5): Comfortable and convenient - Well presented, good sized -
- Rob (8/5): - The apartment was very clean and well appointed. The key pick up and drop off were difficult. When we tried to return the keys the shop was closed. No information to say we could just leave the keys in the room .
- Jenn (2/5): I would not stay here again. - Location of apartment was handy, walking distance to Westfield, shops and supermarkets and restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Residents staying within the complex all seemed nice and helpful. Did not appreciate location to pick up keys and return keys on check out day. Road closures and road works all around the supermarket to pick up & drop off keys. The car park was very difficult to get in and out of. The apartment did not feel overly clean upon arrival. Tiny videos were sent the day before check in explaining how to get in and out of the garage, use the washing machine etc but so difficult to actually view them. No WIFI at the apartment and not great mobile reception. It is 2025, how is there no WIFI? The address provided when originally booked was different on check in to access the garage. More road closures and road works made it more difficult to find. Was also charged $110 (deducted from bond) for a picture that had fallen off the wall (which damaged the wall), through absolutely no fault of our own. Picture fell when we weren't even there. I sent pictures of all the damages when we found the picture, and was assured we wouldn't be charged for it. Yet a week after our stay, we had the bond only partially returned with the deduction without even the chance to argue our case. I would not recommend staying in this apartment.
- William (1/5): We had to pay a bond of $300 and now they won’t return it. We do all our bookings through Booking.c - One single bed had dirty sheets
One window in the living room had dirty hand marks all over it
- Lindell (9/5): Lovely apartment, well located in Woden. - Very nice apartment - quiet. Carpark easy to access with our large car. Batthroom & Bedroom floors needed a bit better cleaning.
- James (8/5): Covenient, central to Woden CBD precinct, good little apartment. - Excellent location and best hosts I have dealt with yet. King bed should mean king bed - not two singles put together with a sheet!
- Leeanne (7/5): Good - Only one set of keys so when someone left you had to go let them out and back in
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Liked having the two bathrooms Everything was good
- James (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cherry (10/5): Great value and exceptionally clean accommodation. - Excellent accommodation, clean, new and great location. Free parking and separate amenities so convenient for families or two couples. Met our needs well, no negative comments.
- Jamie (7/5): Need to improve communication & services. - Location good, initially difficult to find once you know where to go it’s fine.
Good for short stay. KEYS: I read another review about only 1 set of keys being provided. Despite asking well ahead of our stay for a 2nd set of keys/ fob to access building/ Carpark & apartment so we could enter/ leave independently. Only 1 set of keys was provided. Makes it very difficult for 2 people to go in & out independently. WIFI: there is no wifi connection. In this day & age this is a must.
KEYS: Pick up & drop off for keys also not easy. Have to collect & drop off keys / fob from a different location . We left at 9 am on Sunday morning, went to drop off keys to find shop was closed until 10am! So had to wait around.
Staff were difficult to contact & slow to return messages. Only time responded quickly when it was time to check out!
- Julian (9/5): Despite a couple of hiccups still enjoyed our stay and would go again. - Good location, nice comfortable unit, secure parking. Key pick up was inconvenient, had to walk a distance in an unfamiliar area to a convenience store which was "closed, back in 10 minutes" when I got there.
Some of the instructions provided were incorrect, e.g "parking go up 2 levels to level 2", when in fact the parking was down 2 levels in the basement.
- Daryl (8/5): Very good - Clean The Internet was not working the whole time we were there. I was told sorry nothing they can do.
- Jennifer (10/5): I really enjoyed my stay, it was comfortable and close to the shops - I loved the location, the appartment, amazing appliances and Wi-Fi
Good instructions to pick up keys and drop off. The host Emma answered any questions that I had promptly I was so happy with the appartment. Nothing
- Jason (1/5): Bad - All of it
- Shelby (10/5): Exceptional - Plenty of room, great price, good location when not wishing to stay directly in the city even then it was a very quick drive. We will definitely be booking here again! Perfect for people with kids etc. Bath mats and small refreshments weren’t provided (milk, coffee etc). Wifi information was incorrect, was no issue for us anyway however may be for others.
- Adam (7/5): Convenient and comfortable atay close to Woden town centre - Location to work and parking in the building is a big benefit. The unit is sufficient for a short stay up to a week as it has all kitchen facilities to stay comfortably. As it is a 1 bed unit a Queen/king mattress would be better than a bulky join in the middle of the bed. Cleaning products to wash up were dirty so I bought my own. TV and all other facilities made the stay comfortable.
- Jodie (5/5): Never again - Things I wish I knew before I booked include, terrible information about booking, ie, parking space, key pickup from seperate location, ‘cleaning fee’ being 30% of cost and the aggressive tenant who vandalised my car because I couldn’t find my car space. I was there in Canberra for medical procedures and incapacitated. I felt very stressed by the whole experience.
Additionally there was no internet despite their trying to make out it was broken. It is non existent. The mono colour scheme was depressing and the location included a long day ch8ld care centre so the noise during the day was awful.
The whole process reeks of con job as they duck the service and value of a hotel.
I like self contained apartments but I couldn’t use the oven as there was no ovenware, there was 4 satchels of coffee otherwise I would have bought my own. No bathmats, hand towels or face washers and only 1 tea towel.
I’ve been generous with. Score of 6 as I recall all of the things that made this a never again property or anything to do with Serain residences anywhere.
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (8/5): Very good - Central to shops, cafes, hospitals & parkland. Great location!
- Carina (1/5): Good location but lacking in facilities - Located near shopping centre - No WiFi, no previous communication on this
- Stovetop didn’t work (even asked neighbours who had the same set up, everything around it like the rangehood worked - just not the stovetop)
- it was 35 degrees and there was no sheet supplied. Uncomfortable sleep with heavy doona.
- Mandy (3/5): Disappointed! - Great location It was not clean. Beds were unmade. No clean towels.
- Chetan (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (5/5): Passable -
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sallyann (8/5): Very good -
- Pavan (7/5): Good - Location Checkin process
- Paul (4/5): Very long check in process, hard to get hold of the property. - This was the most complicated check in. The check in email which was supposed to be sent to use a day before was never sent. We arrived at the property, without knowing what to do. Finding the property phone number was a mission as it is not available on Bookings.com or Google. I found it through a third party website. Nobody answered the phone. Then once we spoke with someone, an email was sent to us to check in on line, which we did, then another email was sent to us with 10 videos to watch (where to collect the key, how to park etc). Then we had to go and collect the key from around the corner. The whole thing took 1h30min. It was painful. The lady on the phone lacked enthusiasm in all aspects of customer service. NEVER AGAIN....
- Cheryl (9/5): Superb - The location, finish & furniture where fabulous. Floor piano & rooms excellent
- Fiona (10/5): Good value, great proximity to shops - central, right next to westfield, parking included, had all we needed sinks in the bathrooms needed a proper clean
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheryl (7/5): Good - There is no top sheet on beds. There were finger marks on the mirror wardrobe in 2nd bed room and kitchen cupboards.
- Esther (8/5): Overall, we had a pleasant stay. - We are able to prepare and cook our own food. It’s also close to a mall and shops where we can grab all we need. All pretty well and fine.
- Michaela (8/5): As new unit at Woden - Excellent location right next to Woden shopping centre.
Very new unit. Comfortable beds.
Clean. Only one key was provided and that key fob was needed for access to carpark and lift and unit, made it a bit tricky when going out separately.
Google maps takes you to the wrong side of the building if driving! That's not the fault of this property, but good to note. In car you need to approach from west side of building to enter the carpark. Not East.
- Alissa (1/5): Worst company to deal with. Will not refund my $800 to date. Scam - Nothing. We didn’t end up staying as the room was still dirty from the previous people who stayed Wouldn’t refund security deposit or booking fee when they admitted fault. Poor communication. Was told the room was ready and arrived to find the cleaner had only just unpacked her car and headed up (this was at 5.15pm) my eta I gave them was 3.15pm
- Dinesh (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lachlan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (9/5): Great spot, 15min drive to heaps of attractions. - Location is great. Next to Westfield Woden shopping centre. Cafes and restaurants walking distance. Bus station close by. 15 minute drive to City centre. Local swimming pool and iceskating 5 min walk. Apartment had all we needed. Loved it would stay again.
- Nicholas (7/5): Good -
- K.c. (9/5): Superb -
- Elly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (7/5): It was fine however a bit sterile. Not welcoming - Location is excellent. It’s convenient Didn’t have a toaster. Which is very disappointing and unexpected. No wifi and would have been good to have more than 1 key.
- Melbpete (7/5): Good - The apartment was clean, modern, quiet, well appointed and well located As a business traveler I need a working iron. The iron provided had back black gunk stuck on it which ruined my shirt. I didn't expect compensation but asked if I could get a new iron by the next evening, or at least a response... no offer of help or message to resolve. Just to say sorry would be nice.
- Geoffrey (1/5): Bad - Nothing Key pick up confused and difficult parking was Unclear and time consuming the facilities were basic and not reflective of cost and the contact details hopeless.worst was the demand for a damage deposit before releasing key pick up details that was not revealed at time of booking
- Tom (8/5): Very good - The checking and check instructions were clunky.
The beds didn’t have top sheets!
- Beth (3/5): I won’t ever stay at this apartment again. - I found the check in and staff difficult and indifferent.
I couldn't understand what was being explained.
It was my first experience and wasn’t sure as I am used to a receptionist.
I then heard the comment ‘Some people are so stupid.
The apartment was clean and comfortable and in a great location.
Our 2 year old spilled a small amount on a pillow case and have now received a bill for $50.
I am always extremely careful and at other locations have been thanked for the way the property was kept.
Small accidents do happen.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - The check I and check out were quick and easy - I had all the instructions sent to me ahead of time which made it really easy to refer to when I needed
- David (8/5): Unit was comfortable and in a good location that is close to shops, restaurants and amenities. Definitely worth consider - Great location with onsite parking. Bright, modern unit with good facilities. A couple of odd things - no top sheet on any bed, couldn’t find a toaster or kitchen sink plug, microwave had a burnt smell.
- June (9/5): Superb -
- Renee (6/5): Convenient. - New Not a lot of information about what was around. Smoke detector was cheeping. No response when we contacted for support. Had to buy new battery and fix it ourselves.
- Solomon (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent room. Spacious and clean. I locked myself out of the room in the middle of the might and the staff drove in and let me back in. Great experience staying here.
- Tracy (5/5): Dissatisfied - Excellent location, clean and comfortable Hard to find, same address as post office and not signed. Couldn’t get tv to work, after messages and phone calls nobody showed to address the issue. Heating didn’t work. Some instructions would be useful. Won’t be staying again. Moved to Abode and definitely recommend
- Liz (9/5): Superb -
