Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): - We loved everything about the place. Quiet, relaxing and so peaceful. All the staff were incredible too.
- Fiona Olivia (10/5): - Super Host, perfekta Lage Chicken das einem weckt aber das gehört in die Cook Islands
- Nicky (9/5): Outstanding accomodation on Aitutaki - breakfast included no lunch or dinner facilities but plenty nearby filtered water - Privacy only 8 villas adult only Loved it all
- Thomas (8/5): - Der Garten war wunderschön. Gepflegter Strand. Sehr nettes Personal.
- Carl (9/5): -
- Katharina (10/5): - Einfach alles, tolle Ausstattung toller Empfang.
- Dale (9/5): Paradise stay location atmosphere perfect - Beautiful grounds beach location quiet fantastic breakfast n in room cooking facilities and fabulous wonderful staff All was perfect
- Belinda (9/5): We had a great stay. - Property was very relaxing and very peaceful.
Very friendly manager and staff. Pool bar wasn’t opened everyday, and when it was opened it was only for a couple of hours.
- S1513ANanthonyh (10/5): Fantastic- can’t wait to return - Fantastic resort to get away from the big cities. The villa we stayed in, number 2, was perfect with beach views, while the resort had all the facilities we needed with a great beach front and the ability to relax by a pool later in the day. So many nice restaurants within walking distance or I recommend hiring a car to get around. So easy to drive you can’t get lost. The staff were exceptional and some of the nicest people you could meet which is what Aitutaki is all about. I highly recommend this place and even through it does not have its own onsite restaurants and only a pool bar that does not detract at all as it’s nice walking along the beach to a variety of places next door. And only 8 villas makes it feel like you have the whole resort to yourself somedays
- Anthony (10/5): Relaxing paradise - Fantastic resort with only 8 beautiful villas making the place feel like it’s your own. Beach front with plenty of water activities available and a pool with a bar to relax in the afternoon. Restaurants within walking distance from the resort We didn’t stay long enough. Can’t wait to come back

- Carmit (10/5): Amazing location, great atmosphere, the breakfast was wonderful, it felt like a private beach and you the only one there - Location, very friendly, great atmosphere and eye for details (the though about everything) We like everything
- M9247QCtodds (10/5): Excellent - would highly recommend - Fantastic accommodation which is first class. Manager and staff were great going out of their way to check we had what we needed. Booking activities through reception ensured we got the experience we were looking for. A good pool was important to us, and this did not disappoint at all. Good breakfasts provided each day with many options on how we wanted our eggs.
- 85shelleyv (10/5): Loved the place. - Loved the place. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Adjusted breakfast times for activities and transfers. Accomodation was excellent. Pool was beautiful and right on the lagoon so could snorkel straight out.
- davidbI4464BD (10/5): Simply stunning! - A stunning, quiet and beautiful slice of paradise. The chalets are lovely - recently rennovated, spacious and superbly equipped with amazing outlooks and views onto the manicured gardens, the beach and the lagoon. The staff are simply superb - friendly, happy, hardworking and will do anything to ensure that your stay with them on the island is memorable. I am definitely going back!
- Rona (10/5): Paradise found! - Clean, quiet and lush grounds. Beautifully appointed, comfortable cottages. Excellent food and staff that made it feel like home. And the location…heaven!! Nothing.
- Ronajnak (10/5): Paradise on Earth!! - We enjoyed our stay so much! All the staff were warm and accommodating from pick up to check out. Molly and Beth made us feel like family! The grounds are gorgeous, and the bungalows are squeaky clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was delish! The pool, perfect. The ocean front…spectacular. Are you seeing a pattern? 10/10 recommend. We will be back!
- Mark (1/5): Property Conditions Not As Advertised - How this expensive Absolute Beachfront Bungalow property was portrayed online with a beautiful pool at the time of booking 6 months in advance. Pool was drained for re-tiling (project was planned in advance). Arrived exhausted from air travel on a peaceful Sunday afternoon. Host was working with a crew re-roofing the immediately adjacent beachfront unit; non-stop power saw, power nailer and crew communication noise. Host then indicated work would take place all day Monday thru Thursday as well. Screen doors on unit were broken and would not operate without a struggle. We could not tolerate the constant noise. Host assisted with re-booking us at an inferior property; more of a hotel room with common walls with other units than an independent bungalow (equivalent beachfront bungalows at other accomodations on Aitutaki island were sold out). Beware before you spend several thousand dollars to reserve this; conditions may be unexpectedly different when you arrive. Before we arrived we were given no warning the pool was not operational and that major active construction was taking place.

- MyTra23 (10/5): More than a touch of paradise - We spent 7 nights in Etu Moana mid October 2025, and we loved every moment. The small boutique hotel is situated at one of the most beautiful beaches of Aitutaki, facing the sunset side. The only eight bungalows hide in a lush green garden, between palms and flowers. Don't expect the sterile perfection of so many 5-star-chains. Instead you will be surrounded by the perfect South Sea idyl, by tranquility and peace. You may catch yourself just staring at the green-blue symphony of colors just steps away from your bungalows terrace, hours after hours. Breakfast is served besides the pool, and the same perfect view of the lagoon. All members of the staff at Etu Moana offered their most beautiful smile all day long. There are some facilities around, offering lunch and dinner. We liked the Tava´e Resort´s restaurant, they have great fish dishes and the same perfect view from their terrace facing the lagoon. Etu Moana´s guest rooms offer a lot of space, plus a tasteful and high class ambience with a lot of wooden construction and furniture details. Don´t forget to book the lagoon tour by boat, and don´t forget to bring your camera. If you come between July and October, you may have the chance to swim with humpback whales - an unforgettable. Molly, Etu Moana´s friendly and helpful manager, will assist you in choosing and booking the right tour for you. And you can borrow bicycles or rent electric carts to explore the entire Island.

- Gene (10/5): Amazing! - The location is beautiful. Staff were all pilite and went above board. Nice to see so many happy and welcoming staff who appear to love their work!
- Travel00847405458 (10/5): Peace and tranquility - An idyllic piece of paradise. Super clean, great position, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the bikes and golf buggy to get around.
- Allanah (10/5): Excellent, loved it. Beautiful villas with everything you need. -
- MonaSim2 (10/5): Peaceful Paradise at Etu Moana - Etu Moana is a true island escape. The location is convenient, the villas are spacious and stylish, and the beach with its reef is stunning. The staff are warm and helpful, and guests can enjoy free bikes and kayaks to explore both island and reef. The atmosphere is wonderfully quiet and loved, making it easy to relax and feel at home.
Perfect for anyone seeking peace and beauty in the Cook Islands.
- MONASIM (10/5): - Conveniently located with stylish villas, a stunning reefside beach, free bikes and kayaks, and wonderfully helpful staff—Etu Moana offers a quiet, loved atmosphere that makes it the perfect Cook Islands escape. It was perfect in any way.
- Mark (7/5): - Great location
- SherwoodBoy (10/5): Relax in Paradise - Situated on the paradise island of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands, Etu Moanu is the perfect blend of beauty and tranquility.
The staff are naturally warm and friendly and, being adults only, there is a peace which is wholly appropriate to the setting.
The beach villas are well-appointed with both indoor and outdoor showers, a very comfortable bed, kitchenette and balcony where you can languish over your morning coffee whilst gazing over the amazing palette of blue that stretches before you.
Breakfast is served poolside and the best part is the warmth of the greeting from the staff. Newly arrived guests are quickly seduced into a calm that laps over you like the waves on the beach. Even the hermit crabs seem laid back!
To add to the delight the resort has three electric buggies for hire which are perfect for either touring the island or popping to the shops. Their low maximum speed means you have time to absorb what’s happening around you and the locals always give a friendly wave as you pass by.
Snorkelling off the beach is amazing. There are numerous sea cucumbers to avoid stepping on but the resort also provides kayaks to glide over them! The water rarely gets deep but the variety of sea life is superb. Nearby resorts welcome you for dinner so there are always new things to experience.
All in all a perfect break :)

- 440gerardw (10/5): Lovely “get away from it all” experience. - Delightful peaceful setting in a beautiful island, even the dawn chorus of cockerels add charm. If self catering, limited stocks only available locally. Lagoon tour, and nearby “island night” music and dance both very enjoyable.

- S1370UBwolfgangf (10/5): Heaven on Earth - We enjoyed a perfectly relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting. Quiet, romantic, beautiful beach, even a fully equipped kitchen, stunning bathroom: so what else you need in this paradise?
- andrewwT497VP (10/5): A wonderful stay at Etu Moana - This was a trip of a life time come true. We came for a wedding and then stayed a few days extra. It was beyond amazing. Etu Moana is perfectly located on Aitutaki. Enjoyable beach walks or a short bike ride to near by restaurants or for a message. Bring a flash light for night walks back as the hermit crabs come out for meet ups and its wonderful to see all the shells they have found.
Our stay was the relaxing we hoped for. Was quite, relaxed and easy to find our pace. The villa porch was perfect for naps, reading or gazing at the lagoon. Snorkeling out front was fantastic. There are kayaks and sups, which we used many times. Just swimming from the beach was fine and right away your in tropical coral reefs with so many colorful fish. I saw larger unicorn fish and sea turtles several times. Coming back from snorkeling was easy with the private outdoor shower behind the villa.
The villa was clean, orderly, nicely laid out and very comfortable. All staff were super friendly and helpful. The managers Molly and Shawn were always present, warm and helpful. There was allot of attention to detail and they create a campus that is welcoming and beautiful. Beth, who works the front deck concierge, always greeted us with a smile. She was so helpful in setting up several excursions for us. If we didn't excursion we relaxed in the resort. The pool was amazing and often to ourselves.
There are bikes and golf carts for getting around and we used both many times. I wish we used the bikes on day one!. Safe and enjoyable road to ride on.
It was wonderful to walk the beach at sunrise with coffee. Follow this with the breakfast at the pool was even better. The staff were always cheerful at breakfast. I really enjoyed that they played traditional Cook island music and would sometimes sing. Food was wonderful with lots of local fruits, fresh baked breads and fresh coconut water. Every other day was homemade waffles....... I left really early one morning for a fishing charter and when I returned the morning team had set aside a breakfast for me. That was just one of the many nice touches the week included.
Thank you Etu Moana and all the wonderful people of Aitutaki. We will be back and we will stay at Etu Moana for sure. You made a trip of a life time be something wonderful.
- Alecia (9/5): Super beautiful villa , very clean and beautiful staff - Privacy, cleanliness, beach view from bed No restaurant
Eggs extra cost for breakfast
- emmatD4184AN (10/5): Tropical dream... - Wonderful service from the moment we arrived. We were met at the airport by the lovely Gusti with a freshly made floral lay. When we arrived at Etu Moana it was like a tropical dream. Beautiful gardens, cold coconut and a warm hug from the gorgeous Beth. Our room was delightful and had everything we needed. The location and facilities were perfect. We can't recommend it highly enough. Even the roosters added a special flair to our experience.
- Carter (10/5): A fantastic place place to stay and relax while enjoying the wonderful island of Aitutaki. - We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. Nothing was a problem during our stay. Fantastic hospitality. Very helpful and friendly staff. Our accommodation was very comfortable, clean and private. The pool area was a fantastic setting for breakfast and great for swimming and relaxation. The golf buggy hire was a great way to see the island. There was nothing we did not like about our stay at Etu Moana.
- Lauren (9/5): The most wonderful honeymoon experience. - Absolutely stunning bungalow in a stunning setting, couldn’t fault it! The host are also the most welcoming and lovely, we didn’t want to leave! It is a bit on the pricey side.
- suelisa1 (10/5): Amazing Resort with Amazing staff - We visited Etu Moana resort for 4 nights during our trip to the Cook Islands. From the moment we were met at the Airport, driven to the resort….we were treated like we had been there before…after our welcome Coconut waters, we were escorted to our huts by walking thru the amazing grounds. Wow…the huts are beautifully appointed and the views are unbelievable….sitting on the deck was so relaxing. The Resort supplies standup paddle boards and kayaks and peddle bikes. You could also rent a scooter or Golf cart to go around the Island. Each morning you meet up with other guests for breakfast. The staff were amazing…always greeting you and ensuring your needs are met….Overall, if you get the opportunity to go to Aitutaki, Etu Moana resort is the place to stay.

- Dianne (10/5): A relaxing , peaceful few days - Beautiful bungalow and gardens. All the staff were outstanding and helpful . Thank you Nothing
- runweij (10/5): Unforgettable time in paradise 😊 - We had a wonderful time at Etu Moana. We are from China and Aitutaki was 3 flights away for us (16hrs in air), but Etu Moana made our trip smooth and comfortable. The villas were well designed and clean with beautiful gardens. Beth was increasingly nice and helpful! We also walked around the area (most resorts are close together), and Etu Moana was definitely one of the best
- JDY_12 (10/5): Best bungalow ever! - Absolutely fabulous experience!! Everything was fantastic! Would highly recommend and I would definitely stay again. The bungalow was super comfortable and the service was outstanding!!

- Susan (10/5): Exceptional Stay at Etu Moana – A True Island Gem! - Exceptional Stay at Etu Moana – A True Island Gem!
Etu Moana is an absolute paradise. The eight boutique villas are beautifully spaced out among lush tropical gardens, creating a sense of privacy and tranquility that leads right to a stunning beach. The facilities were excellent, and our villa was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained.
Our four-night stay was perfect — we only wish we could have stayed longer. From the seamless airport pick-up with Jamie to the warmest welcome from Beth and the ever-personable manager Molly, the entire team made us feel incredibly special. Their local insights and thoughtful touches truly enhanced our stay. The ladies who prepared our delicious breakfasts each morning were just as lovely — always friendly and attentive, yet wonderfully discreet.
Etu Moana is a special place, made even more memorable by the people who run it. We would return in a heartbeat. N/A
- Kezandwaz (10/5): Sunsets, whales breaching, marine life, this place has it all. - We experienced the WOW factor the moment we landed in Aitutaki. The warm friendly reception on arrival, with a coconut refreshment and an escorted tour of the manicured property was most welcoming. Our 3 night stay in the spacious, luxurious Beach View Villa was the perfect ending to our Rarotonga Holiday. Thank you.
- Jennifer (10/5): The Staff, the grounds, the villa and the view were all exceptional. We hired the electric buggy twice and had a beautif - Everything. The moment we were picked up from the airport and taken to Etu Moana, I knew we’d chosen the right accommodation for us. Greeted by the lovely Beth - with a warm smile, and taken to our villa (one of only 8). It had everything we needed for our stay. Clean and comfortable Nothing

- Courtney (10/5): - Everything about this place was exceptional, from the staff to the location and the facilities provided
- DOFlightSurg (10/5): Amazing Relaxation on the Beach - What an amazing place right on the beach!!! The cabins are great and the beachfront ones have such a great view. The snorkeling in the lagoon right off the beach is incredible. There is so much life on each of pieces of coral! We greatly appreciated all of the personal attention and recommendations. The breakfasts are a great start to a beach day and we were so thrilled with their Barefoot dinner! Thank you so much for the amazing experience on our Honeymoon!
- Simon (9/5): Good spot and nice people - Good location but hard to swim in ocean at low tide, better at swimming hole further along. Nice pool. Staff nice brekkie fine Bathroom privacy not great, need a more solid door on it.
- Judith (10/5): Etu Moana is a lovely place and great to stay in. - Breakfast was by the pool and very nice. Nothing to mention
- Wendy (10/5): A great choice for your visit to Aitutaki - Etu Moana is a wonderful boutique hotel with private beach huts offering beautiful lagoon views. The hosts and staff are fantastic and helpful, accommodating every visitor. The location is ideal with nearby restaurants. Perfection, nothing we didn’t like.
- iansA3315NQ (10/5): Idyllic location to chilllout - Our stay was enhanced by friendly and helpful staff with accommodation in an idyllic garden setting with our bungalow overlooking the pool and out over the lagoon. Continental breakfasts by the pool were supplemented with an assortment of cooked egg breakfasts to taste caringly prepared on request
- GRL1951 (10/5): SPECIAL PLACE AND PEOPLE - This was the 4th time we have stayed at Etu Moana (8 nights) and I am very pleased to say that this visit, as all of our other visits, was special. The Team are efficient and very friendly.
The facilities are still great and are kept clean and tidy.
Special requests are received and acted on with efficiency and friendly "can do" approach.
It was a bonus to have access to the electric cates for visits to restaurants etc.
We will be back again.
- Doug (8/5): - Nice and quiet apart from the roosters at all hours
- E1529SSjulief (10/5): A lovely stay on Aitutaki! - Etu-Moana Boutique Beach Villas (Adults only) were awesome. From the moment we were met at the airport we were treated like VIPs. Our villas surpassed our expectations with a large deck in a very private garden setting overlooking the pool on a lower level and the beach. Kayaks, SUPs, snorkelling gear alol available and we enjoyed kayaking on the lagoon. Breakfasts around the pool each day were fresh and plentiful. Availability of golf buggies to hire, and bicycles to use allowed us to see more of the island. Walking distance to restaurants and courtesy pickups for lagoon cruises were a bonus. A lovely stay on Aitutaki!
- Blair (10/5): A small boutique property where relaxation is the #1 priority. Would love to go back again - The setting and the hospitality is fantastic. A great place to relax That we couldn't have stayed longer
- patriciapL7755WV (10/5): Exceptional service - Tastefully decorated bungalows in a beautiful setting. Very helpful and knowledgable staff; they organized an interesting tour of the island for us on short notice. Helped us celebrate our anniversary in style!
- 164graemen (10/5): No bright lights or loud noises here, just tranquility. - You might find more expensive and think it’s better, but it won’t be as good as Etu Moana. Low key, refined elegance can be found here. If you want fluorencent lights or karaoke sing alongs, go elsewhere. If you are young enough for bunk beds and shared bathrooms, go elsewhere. Stay at Etu Moana and you will have that smug look on your face that says ‘we are so superior’. People from other resorts will wish they were you.
- 989blairt (10/5): Delightfully peaceful and relaxing - From the moment we arrived at the airport we were looked after 100%. The driver (Ocean) was friendly and courteous and when we arrived at Etu Moana Molly and the rest of her team carries on with the high standard. Probably the most relaxing holiday we’ve ever had
- Andrzej (10/5): Exceptional -
- dld_honolulu (10/5): Idealic bungalows on the beach - Beautiful location and accommodations. Staff was excellent and helpful whenever needed, nice breakfast by the pool. Kayaks and SUP's available to explore off shore, and bikes and golf carts available to explore the island. Comfortable bed, nice showers, indoors and outdoors perfect for rinsing the sand after enjoying the beach and ocean.
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, peaceful setting, clean and comfortable bungalows. Bikes, kayaks, stand up boards available for use. Good breakfast included. Will definitely come back. No complaints, seems everything was thought of.
- Darren (10/5): - Loved that it was quite and for adults only. Staff and hosts were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. So glab we picked here to stay. Would recommend for anyone wanting a fantastic experience on the island to check out staying here. Would definitely go back.
- Arthur (9/5): We loved our stay in beautiful Etu Moana Villas - The location for breakfast was beautiful but the selection was a bit limited. Bacon did not seem to be offered.
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- citymusiclover (10/5): Quiet, high quality bungalows with bikes and kayaks - Eight well-crafted and appointed bungalows on a serenely quiet beach. We had a “garden room” but could still see the water from our porch. Kitchenette, stocked with cold drinks. Bed was comfortable. AC worked well, WiFi via Starlink was a bit spotty but worked well enough.
Kayaks and bicycles freely available to use, and you can borrow their electric golf cart to explore the island. Didn’t need a car for sure. Snorkeling is possible right in front of the property (for better snorkeling, try by the marine science ctr in the north of the island). Bring your own mask and snorkel as none to borrow.
Breakfast was simple, not many choices but they would make you eggs and had fresh bread. No restaurant on site, but 3 within walking distance. There is an honesty bar where you can fix yourself a drink by the pool.
All the staff were kind and attentive, no issues start to finish. Appreciated the attention to green choices.
- Sandrine (9/5): Nice bungalows near the beach - The owner and her staff are very kind. Everything is made so that we feel comfortable. Bungalows are very beautiful. The place is quite and clean. We can see many fishes by snorkeling just in front of us. Breakfast could be improved
- 942AndrewD942 (10/5): Paradise - The villa was comfortable and had everything we needed, the garden is absolutely gorgeous.
Molly and the rest of the staff were all amazing nothing is a problem from booking dinner reservations, booking a scooter to taking care of transport to/from the airport! What a beautiful stay :) Highly recommend. Would go back again (and again).
- courtnii (10/5): Peaceful oasis with everything you need! - We had a lovely three night stay at Etu Moana. The whole team there are very friendly and helpful. We got picked up from the airport and taken to this peaceful oasis. The golf buggies, which could be hired, were a highlight for us, we were able to explore the full island and travel to some nearby restaurants. We also used the bikes to get around. Breakfast was great (loved the waffles) and it was very handy having water sports and reef shoes provided. It was peaceful and relaxing, would definitely recommend staying here!
- Melanie (9/5): A few days of luxury not to be missed, we relaxed, enjoyed some adventures all in a quiet paradise. - The view out over the lagoon and sea was stunning and the access to bikes, golf carts, kayaks and SUPs etc was very handy. We loved the beautiful breakfast offered every morning. The hot water was sometimes a little patchy. Shower heads (overhead rain style) while pretty lacked the pressure I’m used to. Only a minor issue compared to the awesome experience.
- 1kath1 (10/5): Polynesian Paradise - Beautiful beach villas nestled amongst tropical gardens, situated on Aitutaki's pristine lagoon. Celebrated a "big" birthday there and could not have asked for more. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, like a big family, which makes this place very special. Much more than just a nice place to stay. Looking forward to our next visit.
- Wjloe (10/5): This is tropical paradise - We chose Etu Moana to celebrate our honeymoon in a beachfront villa (1) and were not disappointed, waking every morning to sparkling blue sea. We were greeted at the airport by Petra who immediately made us feel welcome. This is boutique adults only accommodation where you were made to feel like family whilst your privacy is respected. Our Villa had everything we needed to be comfortable and was serviced every day. Breakfast by the pool was a lovely way to start our day and there was a tasty choice of local produce and coffee, served with a big smile, and a highlight was waffle morning. Petra, Molly and Shaun helped us with tour and dinner recommendations and bookings as well as information on the island. There are complimentary kayaks and paddle boards right out the front or you can relax on the sun lounges on the waters edge or by the pool. We chose a sunset private beach dinner one night, which was the icing on the cake for our very special time in Aitutaki. This is a place where dreams come true and lifetime memories are made. It was so very hard to leave but we will be back. Thank you so much to everyone for a wonderful honeymoon.
- R1816JGadams (10/5): Great stay. Came back for a second time - Second time staying here. Facilities are wonderful. Location is great. Outdoor shower is awesome. Kitchen fully stocked though we didnt use. Bed is very comfortable. Great stretch of beach for sunsets . Paddle boarded every day. Highly recommend
- lettucemayo (10/5): The managers and staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. - We felt like we were in paradise as photos don’t do this resort justice - it is beyond beautiful! From the moment we arrived the hospitality and thorough orientation made us felt relaxed and special.
The villa is lovely, gardens immaculate.
- Jill (10/5): - Stunning property, the staff were great, absolutely perfect place to stay!
- Cathy (10/5): Heaven away from home! - Well, if anyone doesn’t want serenity, amazing view, beautiful pool and beach don’t come here.
No seriously, my sister and I loved our stay, 10 out of 10. Molly is an amazing manager, nothing was too much trouble. We loved our Villa 6
With no hesitation I would highly recommend this resort.
Thank you Etu Moana 👏👏
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Molly, the host was excellent. From the first meeting at the airport and throughout our stay at Etu Moana and beyond, Molly was very warm and welcoming and made us comfortable and relaxed. A wonderful experience.
- Peter (8/5): Aitutaki well worth adding to Rarotonga for a Cook Islands visit, lagoon exceptional. - Quiet small island visit. Good beach. Use of electric buggy for island tour was a highlight as of course was the lagoon. Not enough wind for watersports
- babstaehli (10/5): Nature and Polynesian friendliness are written in capital letters here. Unwind, relax, enjoy. This place is magical. - Nature and Polynesian friendliness are written in capital letters here. Only wonderful memories from the first to the last moment. The resort is run with a lot of love and taste by great people. I will definitely be back. Many thanks for the hospitality, the great ambience, the peace and serenity is just the right thing to turn your back on "normal" life.
- alberto00077777 (10/5): How to live a paradise and forget the rest of the world ! - With my wife we spent one week at the end of March 2025 at Etu Moana, we got one very nice Beach Front Villa, furnished with care and quality. The villa provides a lot of space (66 sqm), quiet privacy and all kind of comfort aimed at offering an unforgettable stay. View is simply amazing, nature around is fantastic and the staff is professional and kind, driven by Petra and Molly, always ready to give the best suggestions to make your holidays simply fantastic. Given such an high quality, price is acceptable. Overall, really a wonderful experience !
- MicheleB250 (8/5): Paradiso silenzioso - This place was for me a bit of the essence of Aitutaki. Silent, beautiful, rural. You go back in time and in the way of living the day. Walking or biking (or in a golf cart when it rained) on this island everyone is a friend, everyone is like family. Even the roosters that disturb or cheer up the days, depending on the mood.
Both on a rainy day and a sunny day we felt good and disoriented at the same time, relaxed and aware of being in one of the most remote places in the world. The welcome is excellent, the location very beautiful, Aitutaki must be experienced to be able to understand it, even just a little. This resort is close to everything!
- 667wesm (10/5): Paradise - My stay at Etu Moana has redefined what I think of when I imagine a perfect tropical island paradise. My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect time on Aitutaki. The villa was comfortable and had everything we needed. The beach was absolutely gorgeous (water is warm and clear and really that color, the chairs are comfy with natural shade from the trees, and the reef shoes and equipment made for fun times exploring). It was great dipping into the pool and grabbing a drink whenever the mood struck.
Molly and the rest of the staff were all amazing: so attentive and good natured. They were there to offer anything we needed: from booking dinner reservations to mixing up a few rounds of mai tais by the pool to taking care of transport to/from the airport! What a beautiful stay :) Highly recommend. Would go back again (and again).
- rarotongarick (10/5): Great place to relax - We had a wonderful stay at Etu Moana. We were looking for a sanctuary to rest and relax and this was perfect. Lovely grounds, villa, and staff. Small and discrete. The breakfast provided was very good. The orientation with Molly was fantastic and the recommendations were spot on.

- K8586TKmichaelj (10/5): Just excellent! - If you want to get away from it all and have a super peaceful, gorgeous environment then Etu Muana is the place to come. We are seasoned travellers and completely loved this haven, we would like to thank the staff for the professionalism and attention to detail.

- StefanScho (10/5): A great resort on Aitutaki - A great resort on Aitutaki. We were there out of season and got an upgrade to an ocean view villa right on the beach.
We liked the clean rooms with large veranda, indoor and outdoor showers.
Ocean kayaks and SUP boards are available on the beach and bicycles are available for a quick trip to the shops. We particularly liked the electric golf carts that can be rented for a leisurely ride around the island. It's a very relaxed way to explore the island and a lot of fun.
We really appreciated the honesty bar. There is a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and you can refine your drinks with lime slices.
Management and reception are very helpful and courteous. Because we were there at Christmas, all guests received a bottle of champagne in their villas. The room service is friendly but has that relaxed island style.
All in all, the Etu Moana is a great resort in a wonderful location. Unfortunately, it's a long way from Europe,...
- annieandnick (8/5): Our eighth visit! - This was our eighth visit to Aitutaki, and we have stayed at Etu Moana every time. With only eight villas it is very peaceful and private; you often feel like you are there on your own! The pool is a particularly great spot to relax and unwind.
Our first two visits were when the original owners were running the property, and they set our expectations sky high. Since then, we have seen a number of changes of managers (and staff), and so our experience has (naturally) differed each time.
The newest managers (Shaun and Molly) have only been there a few months. Molly was particularly welcoming and friendly. They are working on making a few changes, and we look forward to seeing progress on our next visit.
After 17 years of visiting we were a bit disappointed that recent licensing rules have resulted in stopping the honesty bar - something we weren’t told until our arrival. We have in the past enjoyed (easily accessible) drinks by the pool where we spend a lot of our time. Alcohol is still made available. Or you can buy from local supermarkets. The current system didn’t seem to work regarding purchasing cocktails, but we understand this is being worked on.
As it was, on the afternoon of our last day, Molly made cocktails which was a great way to mingle with other guests by the pool. Cost: $18 per cocktail.
The breakfast needs a bit of an upgrade. Limited choices and so when staying seven nights you need to find other options.
We had the magical dinner on the beach for our anniversary celebration which was a pretty cool experience but the meat for both our mains was overcooked and inedible. (Unfortunately, it was Terangi’s day off.) We expected better quality for the price.
Couple of other issues need ironing out - like our room not being serviced every day - and quality of service seemed to depend on the staff member. Time will tell how the issues are resolved.
Terangi is by far the best staff member for customer service. She’s friendly, natural, and so very welcoming. An absolute star who we hope never leaves!
Molly went out of her way to drive us to dinner one night knowing we had had a bit too much sun (and hadn’t ordered a taxi). Gestures like that make Etu Moana stand out. It’s the personal touch we love and hope never stops.
All the best Shaun and Molly. We look forward to seeing what visit #9 will bring.
- waynecK9431GM (10/5): Etu Moana, a week in Paradise - Magnificent place to stay, Molly,Petra & Sean are more than Managers, they are Hosts, and a fine job they did, looking after our every need, from the awesome Barefoot dinner for my wife’s Birthday, to booking us in wherever we wanted to go for dinner and anything else we needed. The scooters and buggy made moving around Aitutaki a breeze !
The accommodation was spacious and comfortable home away from home. Thoroughly enjoyed breaky every morning with cheerful and very helpfull and accommodating staff…..thank you Ladies, and thank you Molly,Petra & Sean.
Special thanks to Sean for the AquaEar !!!
- 96bernadetteh (10/5): MAGICAL LOCATION IN AITUTAKI - I wanted to go somewhere tropical in the world, I came across the Etu Moana Boutique Beach Villas for Adults only. I was celebrating my birthday/ wedding anniversary with my husband. We had a Villa right on the beach, it was magical.
The host and the entire staff members were so nice, and gave us helpful advice. We rented the moped, and saw the entire Island. It was the perfect get away! I would highly recommend if you are planning a trip to the Cook Islands, go to Aitutaki and enjoy your stay!
- Lisa (10/5): - We just spent 4 days at Etu Moana. The beach was perfect for snorkeling. The Villas were large and well equipped. We will definately be back!
- Christian (10/5): - Enjoyed every minute in my spacious villa with everything one needs. With ocean view and nice beach. Snorkeling was very good. At the honesty bar I could mix my own drinks, have a beer, wine or soft drink. The pool was always clean.
- Michael (10/5): - Amazing place in paradise...highly recommended!!!!
- Fiona (9/5): What a treat - Beautiful location, lovely staff, great to have access to electric golf buggy and bikes for exploring the island. Great selection for breakfast, including little specials every day (yum waffles, Terangi!!!!)
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Sue (10/5): A very special place - We loved our stay at Etu Moana which is on the west, less windy side of Aitutaki. This property has eight thatched villas cleverly positioned in lush gardens which lead to a magnificent beachfront. The ocean was perfect...warm, translucent and inviting for snorkelers. .
We enjoyed the opportunity to explore the island by bike and golf buggy. Our evening walks on the beach to one of the nearby dinner venues, was another highlight.
Mostly we appreciated the warm hospitality of Jeff and Tiffany who go above and beyond to make your stay memorable.
