Guest Reviews
- Jordan (10/5): - Cabin was really clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Fantastic views, lots of natural light. Friendly welcome upon arrival.
- Vance (10/5): - Cute and cozy cabin with all u need.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Delia (10/5): Perfect getaway for peace and tranquility - This was the cutest, amazing, and cozy cabin. Just a short drive from Whitehorse. Secluded and in the wilderness and felt perfectly safe traveling as a solo female.
Went in February to see the Northern Lights and was not disappointed. Nothing
- Abhi-Bejhra (10/5): A really cozy cabin to stay. - The cabin is very cozy especially with friends or your significant others. It is a perfect place for you to see the aurora light since you are far away from the light. However, the northern light at Lake Labarge (near the cabin) or Fish Lake is stronger from my experience. Warm water is limited! So, if you plan to take a warm shower, try to shower before you use warm water for other purposes. From my experience, I used too much of a warm water before I took a shower, which resulted in me showering in a freezing cold water.
- Priya (10/5): -
- kerry (9/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): Beautiful view w accommodating hosts. - The beautiful mountains surrounding the property outside of city lights. Nothing.
- Bokyong (10/5): 오로라 관측에 최고 - 오로라 관측에 매우 좋은 위치 및 환경
따뜻하고 편안하게 오로라 뷰잉 가능
- Enrico (10/5): Excellent for aurora viewing - This cabin is perfect for viewing the aurora, especially when it is cold outside: going in/out of the cabin when outside is freezing makes the aurora viewing experience a lot better than standing outside for hours like in organized tours.
The cabin itself is a little gem, small, cozy, fully accessoried, really well kept. Also, it is very quiet, in the middle of nowhere, so that it is very very relaxing. Nothing. Everything was great,
- Jutta (10/5): Tolle Unterkunft im Yukon Cabin - Es begann schon mit dem warmen Willkommen von Lara, die sogar Blümchen vorbei brachte.
Die Ausstattung bietet alles, was man braucht.
- Edwin (10/5): A quiet comfy stay - 20-25 minutes out of city. Quiet and relaxing after busy traffic and lots of people. Close enough to travel around and explore.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Viewing the Northern Lights from inside the comfort of the cabin. See photo attached. You could also "scout" the lights while lying in bed. We took turns as spotters and were well rewarded, even on nights where Google said there was very little chance for lights.
- Sharon (9/5): Cozy cabin, very private and quiet. Perfect location from town. - Comfortable cabin. Fabulous location. (Wifi included.) Very private and spectacular view of surrounding mountains. Perfect place for watching the Northern Lights! Would definitely stay here again. There was no oven, only hot plate burner and microwave.
- Masada (10/5): The cabin is warm and cozy. The property location is great for northern lights viewing. - Location & privacy. The cabin is a mix of modern and rustic.
- Roxana (10/5): We had a wonderful relaxing time with all and any needs met - it’s exactly what we needed after a long time on the road - Comfortable, cosy, homely, plenty of information and anything you could possibly need Nothing
- Annie (10/5): We enjoyed staying in the cabin. It is located far from Whitehorse, but perfect for northern lights. - Nice, clean cabin for Aurora. Just step out to the front porch! The bathroom sink was too small!
- Yasuhiro (10/5): I was able to stay with peace of mind. - Very kind host. He carefully explained how to use the cabin and recommended places.
I think it's the best place to see the aurora borealis because the surrounding brightness is low and there's nothing blocking the view to the northeast. Nothing in particular
- Kristen (10/5): A very cozy cabin that had everything we needed, and it was a great place to stay to view the night sky (and northern li - It was a nice, private cabin with great views of the night sky and the mountains in the distance. Kitchen was very functional and we had everything we needed. NA
- Raymundo (9/5): Superb -
- Judith (8/5): Don’t go there without a vehicle, rent if flying - Cabin was comfy and warm! Must take your own food. The bed was uncomfortable. We taxi it in from airport, so we’re stranded there Views are great, did not see any northern lites in two days😫😫😫😫
- Selina (10/5): This place is truly magical! Wish we could have stayed longer! - Insanely gorgeous!!!
- Bronwyn (8/5): Very good -
- Isabella (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful setting, everything you could need
- Yakov (9/5): Superb - A cozy cabin on a working farm some 25 km north of Whitehorse. Beautiful scenery, quiet, private, extremely comfortable Small sink and little shelf space in the bathroom
- Anonymous (10/5): It was perfect! We were only sad to have such a short stay booked. - Rustic but modern at the same time. Very private, room to roam, totally delightful! No complaints at all
- Dineke (9/5): Superb - We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The cabin was well supplied with kitchen equipment to make your own meals and the shower was a luxury after our summer in the bush.
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Perfect overnighter for those on the way to or from Dawson. Host was great. - Location was perfect for us being on the north side of town. Quaint and quiet.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect cabin for anybody looking to do some glamping! - It was a beautiful cabin with an amazing view! It was completely modern with all kinds of nice touches such as lots of outlets (electric/USB) and fast Internet. The cabin was well-stocked with books, kitchen accessories, blankets, and basically anything you might need.
I especially loved sitting on the front porch and enjoying the view. There is a fire-pit with logs to sit on, which I think would be perfect for enjoying the Northern Lights in the winter while eating s'mores and drinking hot chocolate.
We'll definitely be back again next year. Thanks Darcy & Gerry! Everything was perfect. I wouldn't change anything. The only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer!
