I don't want these comments to reflect badly on the Apartment Owners or on the excellent Booking.com whom I both trust and have made available to me some awesome accommodation at good prices.
Let's be quite clear here and the problem is the appalling behaviour of Bedspoke who seem to be the property manager. It was not readily apparent to me that they were involved until too late I had booked and thenbthe disasters happened with codes, keys, Philippine call centre staff, an apartment that had not been adequately cleaned and so many fabrications.
I will be taking them to the Small Claims Tribunal seeking a partial refund as they are notorious in the industry and someone has to make them accountable and I have decided that someone will be me.
Congrats Bedspoke you had both my Wife and my overseas visitor in tears because if your stubborn refusal to release the Key marked Client Key No. 2 to me and kept me waiting till after 10.30am on day 2. This was a 2 bedroom apartment to be occupied by 3 adults...in what universe did these clowns decide that one key to enter and exit the building was ever going to be enough particularly when they specifically promised.me 2. I trusted them and they burnt me badly and ruined 40% of the stay. I shall see them in Small Claims.
- Santiphap (1/5): Was nearly charged AUD 300 for leaving a tissue and an empty box — absolutely not worth staying here - Worst experience I’ve had in years of using Booking.com as a Genius Level 3 member.
The host tried to blame me for old, pre-existing damage — including rust marks on the bathroom door and a worn-out sofa button that was clearly loose long before I arrived. Then they attempted to charge extra for normal light cleaning, such as tissues, small packaging, and a tiny coffee spill that any standard checkout cleaning would cover.
What concerned me the most was their attempt to keep my AUD 300 deposit without any valid evidence. I’ve stayed at many properties around the world, and no host has ever tried to charge unreasonable fees like this.
The apartment itself was fine, but the management and the way they treat guests is a serious problem.
Be cautious if you plan to book this place.

- Nicholas (5/5): Too expensive for what we got. - Modern appt. Coffee pods a nice touch, linen is clean and comfy. broken light in ensuite, loose floorboards with water damage, no aircon in rooms, no clothes hoist for drying, key collection 15min walk away, Coffee machine doesn't work very well, iron surface was all burnt. Beware of the junkies
- Gary (9/5): Really comfortable good value apartment in StKilda, no view from first floor apartment - Clean two bedrooms were very comfortable. Could do with clothes airer for use after using washing machine
- Chee (8/5): Very good - We'll appointed and classy. Nice decor. Great communication. Reasonable price. Parking fits a medium SUV. Bathroom and Ensuite door does not lock properly. Checking in and out is a bit fiddly - keys are located off-site. Could not find parking when picking up keys.
- Danit (9/5): Superb -
