Guest Reviews
- Lisa (9/5): A great little getaway for a girlfriend staycation! - A quaint little cottage that suited our needs perfectly! Location! So close to the market, China town, the tram, Rundle Mall
- Drennan (8/5): - Neat and tidy, comfortable for a short stay. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The neighbourhood could get quite noisy during the night.
- Kim (9/5): - This location was fabulous, centrally located in China town ,just a step away from market and transport .accommodation was a home away from home vibe with all we could want
Great communication ,easy access and check in.
- Donna (9/5): Perfect townhouse will book again for my next stay in Adelaide. - The location was perfect for our needs, the townhouse had everything we could possibly need for our stay and was very clean. Proximity to restaurants and shop was also great. Would definitely book again. The only negative was the bedroom on the top floor was very bright in the morning.
- Joseph (6/5): - Location was central and close to the inner city. Inside the apartment was tidy and had most things you could need for a short stay. Sleeps up to 5 but was a pretty tight fit with that many of us. The alleyway next to the apartment was strewn with used needles and there was constantly inebriated people walking past or yelling at each other in the early hours of the morning. Had there been small children with us on our trip I would not of felt safe walking around the area, particularly the park across the road. There is also construction happening during our whole stay and at one point a truck pumping something, very loudly, parked metres from the door for hours from around 7am. Important to note none of this is the owners fault, and they were very accomodating throughout the whole trip. Unfortunately the things outside of their control was what put a dampener on the trip.
- Janice (9/5): - Good layout and close to everything thing Power point in downstairs bedroom didn't work. Beside the bed. I like to plug phone beside the bed
- Daniel (10/5): Great spot, love it - Well appointed Not much
- Wenting (10/5): Plesant stay. Excellent host -
- Georgia (9/5): Great 2 bedroom CBD stay! - Nice a close to China town and on a quiet CBD street. Accommodation had everything we needed for our stay. John communicated everything prior to our stay for a smooth check in and check out
- jojo (9/5): Lovely place, great staff. A few minor issues. Awesome beds!!! - Location was great. Parking was available around the accommodation and a free reserved park was provided a short 5 min walk away. The beds are super comfy, two toilets and a heated floor in the beautiful downstairs bathroom. Staff I dealt with were extremely helpful and quick to answer any messages. Beautiful functional kitchen. There was building happening right next door but that wouldn't be an ongoing issue. Also there were a couple of maintenance issues i was assured would be corrected.
- Teresa (10/5): As above - Convenient to city and sports grounds where my son was playing.
Extremely clean, warm, and modern facilities - met all our needs. Management staff very professional and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend for a inner city stay
- Bev (4/5): Nice property but bad timing. - The property was refurbished so new and clean. The kitchen is very basic in terms of everyday common items and cooking utensil. The owner did however make additions at our request immediately. The back gate access was broken and couldn't be locked and not secure which was a safety issue for us given anyone could enter the property from the side lane and the double doors into the kitchen were glass. The second bedroom is an open loaf and therefore noise and light from downstairs guest would disturb sleep as did planes over head at 6.00am and a construction site next door starting at 7.00am. The parking is off site at a nearby parking station and because of the building site next door access to the property by car or parking in the street was not possible after 7.00am to 4.00pm each day and what little off street parking available was taken by others residents overnight unless you were quick to grab a spot around 4.00pm. It was located in a good position for the city. We worked around any shortcomings but the extreme noise and vibration from the building site next door was not great. Without that it could have been a different experience. It would have been appreciated if that was mentioned when booking.
- Emily (9/5): Superb -
- Chao (1/5): Bad - none The sound insulation is extremely poor. It feels like living in a tent. Drug addicts, homeless people, and drunks wander around, and the footsteps of those passing by are very clear. On the first day of our stay, we found that the bathroom sewer was blocked and we couldn't take a shower. We drove for 8 hours from Melbourne with our children and my mother. We were sweating all over and very tired, and we really needed a shower to relieve ourselves. But when I asked the landlord if he could solve the problem, I got a very impatient reply, being told that it could only be solved the next day because no one works at night in Australia. When I complained to him and tried to ask if there was any drain - unblocking liquid, he hung up the phone while I was still talking. I guess I might have disturbed his sweet dreams at 10 p.m., but we surely couldn't fall asleep peacefully that night. The wonderful mood of the whole holiday was ruined by him. Maybe the problem really couldn't be solved at that time in Australia, but the poor service was disgusting. Moreover, without an air - conditioner or a fan in the bedroom downstairs, it makes people feel breathless. Due to the dangerous and bad surrounding environment, we didn't dare to open the windows on the first floor. Although the parking lot is free, it is a 5 - minute walk from the accommodation. If you forget something in the car, you'll feel very frustrated. Such a bad accommodation is definitely not recommended.
- Rodney (8/5): Very good -
- Yashaswini (7/5): The stay was okay, small yet cozy. - The property was located in the city and it was convenient to go around using public transport. The car park is 5 mins walk which was okay but not very convenient. There were lots of Chinese food places around so people who like Chinese food will love the area. However we don’t eat Chinese so it was difficult to get Indian groceries. The properly is not a big one, small but cosy. All the basic amenities were provided.
- Daniel (9/5): Great apartment, perfect spot, neat and tidy - Very clean, tidy, and well appointed Bit of noise out in the streets during the night but that’s typical of the China Town location and nothing to worry about.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - At park not on site but it was only a 6 minute walk
- Ean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zhe (10/5): Great Location and the best owner. The street Parking around is 2 hrs during the weekday ONLY! - The last tenant jammed the keys in the locker and John arrived within 15 minutes at 10 PM Thursday to rescue us.
- Anna (8/5): Overall, very good and clean! - The parking available to us was excellent, especially as it ensured that we always had a spot. Home was very clean, and the bathroom was good as well. Appreciated the washer and dryer too, very convenient for longer stays. The cooking utensils were adequate, although the knives were quite blunt. Not too many qualms, the only 'issues' I had were one of the beds were too springy and I found it difficult to sleep through the night. The living room TV worked, it did not turn on via power button on the remote or by changing the display settings even though it was on sleep mode or something. Not a big problem though, the TV in the room worked fine. Also had problem finding the property's bins, got all mixed up with the others and it was not labelled distinctly.
- Tahnee (10/5): Loved our stay - We loved staying here, this property had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfy and clean and the kids loved that Netflix was available. Also the shower was amazing. Definitely staying again
- Tanya (6/5): Pleasant - Location, cute accomodation Parking was not good and did not match the description for the accomodation
- Norhafiz (8/5): Good value for money. - Excellent location. Reserved parking space. Hot/cold water mixer in kitchen - difficult to adjust for good temperature at low water rate.
- Jessica (10/5): An immaculate, charming and cosy inner city stay. - The location was perfect for an inner city event. Mostly quiet considering the location. The security of the property was excellent, with multiple door locks, window screens and locked gate.
The provided car park is a short walk away, and much appreciated being right in the city. We were able to lock the car away for the weekend and take Ubers to our destinations for less than the cost of parking.
The apartment was immaculately clean - definitely the cleanest accommodation we have stayed in.
The beds and bedding were exceedingly comfortable. The kids slept soundly in the loft bedroom, which was a huge hit with their own half bathroom and heating.
The main heating worked a treat during a cold weekend and we used the panel heater overnight in the other room and were toasty warm. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and eat-in.
The TV’s were programmed to a Netflix account which was amazing and the wifi didn’t skip a beat, which we find is hit and miss in accommodations.
All round we absolutely adored our stay in the apartment, as did our kids, and we hope to be able to book there again the next time we have an event in Adelaide.
Thanks for having us : ) We usually pick somewhere with a washer and dryer, and the ease of use at the apartment was excellent - however there was no washing powder. This is the only fault we could pick, and really didn’t bother us as we carry washing powder in the car. Just a minor thing that could help the next guest!
- Ben (10/5): wonderfull - booking.com position, clean,
- Yvonne (6/5): Wouldn’t stay here again. - Walking distance to restaurant. Love the smell of the property when you walked into property. Fairly modern and clean. Lots of drug addicts scoring drugs from the park and then walking past your door, out of it. The carpark next door to the property had homeless people drinking during the night and people shooting up in the morning. A lot of yelling from them. Waking myself and my son up at night. We came for the Australia Nationals Athletics and my son needed a good night sleep and didn’t get it! It put him off one of the races at the beginning of the week and he won his races on Friday the day we left! I did complain early in the week and they said they would talk to owner and call the police if I didn’t feel safe.
- Trudy (10/5): Great - It was close to everything we needed Bed was a bit hard
- Lisa (9/5): Would come back again and recommend - We had everything we needed - the kitchen was well equipped. Loved the eating space outside. Parking slot was always available and big enough for our car. Bad was comfy and the whole house was clean. There was enough shower gel, shampoo, dish washer tabs etc.
Loved it As we were 5 guests we needed the futton bed, which was under a double bed. It was quite hard to get it out from there.
Maybe another air conditioner in the bedroom downstairs would be useful.
- Jacklyn (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (9/5): Overall everything that is needed is there and thank you for the extra toilet rolls - Location is superb Bed not too comfortable , need a new one
- Saskia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (9/5): So convenient and comfortable. - The location. Quiet Loose paving stones in back courtyard
- Lee (9/5): Enjoy the location and the time in Adelaide - Location The area was a bit dirty
- Anonymous (8/5): Lovely little house right in China town. - Clean with washing facilities and small outdoor space.
Near the bus station so easy to access.
In China town with lots of Chinese eating spots around.
- Terry.l (7/5): We enjoyed our stay at this accomodation particularly for the central location. - The home is perfectly located, once we were able to get in we found it very clean & fresh. The beds and the shower were comfortable. The heating of the apartment was good and easy as was using the television and the coffee machine. The codes to the lockbox did not work including the 1 for the back door. We had to contact booking.com and I believe they gave us the cleaners lockbox access.
There was no hanging space for clothes in the downstairs bedroom so we had to live out of the suitcase.
The venetian blinds in the bathroom are barely staying up and need replacing.
The upstairs toilet door did not close properly.
- Hasim (7/5): Nice place to stay but needs better property management - It is clean and practically in Chinatown so it is convenient to find food I locked myself out of the bedroom at night and could not get the property management to send anyone to help. It took us about 2-3 hours playing MacGyver to finally get the door opened. The door lock needs to be fixed or removed to prevent same incident.
Property needs to have better acoustic /sound absorption to reduce echoes.
- Chern (9/5): Thanks -
- Tony (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (8/5): Had an enjoyable time in central Adelaide 😊 - central to all Adelaide city’s shops and businesses weeds in back yard, multiple full bins with no indication is which belonged to the property
- Ebsa (8/5): Very good -
